    The sequel to Gensou no Keifu - Hajimari no Miko, Hifuu Boenkyou stars Renko Usami and Maribel Hearn as they explore Gensokyo alongside many allies, ranging from Embodiment of Scarlet Devil through Double Dealing Character. It features a different retelling of pre-existing Gensokyo lore, starting with a new take on the Vampire Incident. The gameplay is a more improved upon and balanced version of its predecessor, while still featuring many improved mechanics which made the original flourish. On the battlefield, the player and enemy take turns to order their units with commands available, such as movement, defending, and attacking. There are two game modes; Casual, an easy mode where player's lost character can be used in next mission, and Classic, a hard mode where the team members who have lost can not be restored. There are also varying difficulties, ranging from Easy, Normal, and Hard.

    This goes in your Sengoku Gensokyo -> Save folder. Also, it doesn't overwrite saved game data, it just flags the game as cleared, unlocking the extra stuff:

    Plot Point: Yukari has distributed a letter throughout all of Gensokyo, setting rules for a team-based wargame for those who are bored of nothing but typical spell card rules, promising to grant any one wish for the team who wins.  Those who are weak individually but strong in a group decide this provides an excellent opportunity; others simply want to prove their points; still others want the promised wish.  But, for only the second time in Touhou history (the first being "Labyrinth of Touhou"), the entire Touhou cast is involved...because now, Gensokyo is at WAR.
    How It Works:  This is a point-and-click strategy game (left-click to confirm, right-click to cancel); in the main Story Mode, generally speaking, you play the role of the Hakurei Shrine faction, and declare war, battle against, and capture the other factions' territories until you win by having the entire map under your control.  For all the details you could possibly need, go grab the Instruction Pack from the Extras section on the left.  This game may look something like "Risk" at first glance, but trust me: 1) it plays nothing like it, and 2) it takes a lot longer (Story Mode does, anyway).
    Want Extras?
    Clear the game.  Simply clearing the main Story Mode game unlocks all of the following:
    * National Mode.  A setup that emulates a multiplayer experience; all regions start off occupied, and factions are no longer concerned only with you; they'll attack each other now as well.  National Mode comes with the bonus characters on the left (and thus some bonus factions, as well), and lots of ways to tweak things; you can set how many and which factions will be present and change their starting memberlists, and you also get to play as any faction you'd like.  National Mode can use characters you've created yourself in the game's Extras section.  To get to it, click "Start" on the main menu, and it will now ask you which mode you'd like to play (Story Mode or National Mode).
    * Difficulty Select for Story Mode.  Was the default setting of Normal too easy for you?  Now when you start a new Story Mode game, it will ask if you'd still like to play Normal, or if you'd prefer Hard or Lunatic.
    * Extras Section.  Check out the CG art, videos, and character art; you've also earned the right to tweak the statistics of the characters you can hire in both Story and National Modes, and can also create new characters for use in National Mode.  (When you start a new game, regardless of mode, it will ask you whether you'd like to use the official default data, or the edited data you tweaked.)

    Touhou Chengokushi, literally translated as Records of Chen Empires in the Eastern, is a full-scale turn-based tactical role-playing simulation developed by ちゆうどう, and based on Sangokushi, a series of turn-based strategy wargames produced by Koei. Set in the warring states period, the game's goal is to unify 36 divided countries in Gensokyo, from the standpoint of Chen as a leader. Gameplay revolves around managing numerical statistics each representing an attribute of a city or a character, organizing resources, expanding to neighboring countries and defeat the leaders. Touhou Chengokushi also incorporates several elements from Yabou no Gensoukyou (Reitaisai 9, 2012) including maps, unit armaments, scenarios and even all warlords data.

    Touhou Battle Raiders is a strategy RPG developed by four doujin circles; Hachimitsu Kumasan, AQUA STYLE, Strawberry Bose and Kanagawa Denshi Gijutsu Kenkyuujo. Through the campaign, the player retains control of four characters, across a battlefield against hordes of enemy forces in real-time with boss battles at the end of each round. In the campaign the player must complete the main objective to proceed to the next chapter, but there are also optional routes which can be completed alongside the main quests with rare items as reward. In between battles, players can access their characters to equip them with purchased goods or items gained from previous adventures.

    Touhou Chemuburemu (東方ちぇむぶれむ, lit. "EastChemblem") is a Touhou Project fangame released by ちゆうどう (Chiyuudou). Very similar to a Fire Emblem game, most notably Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.

    As Chen, you control an army of units, which you must lead to victory. Each character levels up and gains stats, based on random chance. Furthermore, each unit is restricted to use a certain class of items, like bows, swords, axes. Upon class change (reached at lvl 20), they gain the ability to use a second class, different from their main.

    All units have their strengths and weakness, which other units can exploit. It is crucial for the player knowing about the differences between classes and items.

    The combat system is based on stats, as well on certain advantages or disadvantages such as the weapon triangle or terrain bonuses.

    Satori no Atorie 2 - Arisu VS Ikari no Desu Danmaku Settai, literally translated as "Atelier Satori 2 - Alice VS The Anger of Death Barrage Entertainment", is a simulation strategy game developed by コココソフト. The game follows shortly after the events of the first game after Satori starts her new pudding shop. The gameplay is largely unchanged; the player place different types of dolls, each with their own unique offensive or defensive capabilities, in order to stop a horde of enemies from reaching the shop. The player starts with a limited number of dolls, but in later levels players can purchase upgrades with different offensive and defensive abilities with in-game money. The game is divided into several turns and at higher levels enemies have longer turns, making the challenge even harder.

     Fantasy Maiden Wars Dream AKA Gensou Shoujo Taisen Yume is the fourth as well as the final game of the series. The fourth part retells the story of Undefined Fantastic Object, Mystic Square, and an original arc loosely based on Yumetagae Kagaku Seiki - Changeability of Strange Dream, a doujin album by Team Shanghai Alice which was released on 2004. The main gameplay remains the same, the game follows a basic structure of Super Robot Wars; the character receives introductory dialogue and leading to the scenario on the battlefield. Battles take place on a grid-based battlefield, with additional mechanics for danmaku, bombs and spell cards, with turns being given for players and enemies. Player can transfer save data from the third game, Gensou Shoujo Taisen Ei (Eternal), allowing player to retain items, upgrades, and database information as well as gain some bonuses.

    Plot Point: A mist is spreading, causing locals in Gensokyo to fall into a deep endless sleep. Yukari gathers and guides the few remaining souls who remain awake to fight their way through endless waves of enemies as they wake up their friends and bring down the mastermind of this whole incident

    How it Works: You start out the game with Yukari on the left most part of the field. You have the ability to summon any one of the five starting characters to defend Yukari and help in advancing through the dungeon all the way to a gap leading to the next dungeon after defeating the dungeon's leader.

    *Things to take note of*
    The Title Screen: The left button in the main menu starts the game from the last save made (It automatically saves your progress when you quit the game).
    The right button deletes your current save file(do take note that you are only given one save here, and that any progress you've made like unlocked items or recruited characters are lost aside from the progress made when you do so).

    Character Deployment: All characters are manually deployed. There's a limit on the number of characters you can deploy at once, based on the current level of the dungeon which increases as you advance through the stage.

    Not-so-gentle Winds: Every turn a large gust of wind will blow through the field, damaging any units you currently have deployed. Enemies do not take damage from these winds, and the damage itself is based on the stage level. This wind is not present in most dream stages.

    Making friends along the way: There will be gaps that pop up after progressing enough through a dungeon. Clicking it will open up a dungeon selection menu, send your deployed units in to clear the dungeons. Clearing the sub-dungeons between every main dungeon unlocks playable characters as well as giving you a hoard of useful items.

    Leveling up: Do your best to keep your force at full strength. Move at a timely pace and manually level up your characters as they do not level up on their own. Enemies grow stronger and even stronger variants appear as you progress. Keep your units above their level to ensure that your units can take them head on, but don't over-invest on characters as their cost may go too high, leaving no room for assisting units.

    Items: This is a very fundamental point for the game. As you fight enemies, you'll begin to see your units acquire items from their kills. When a unit is not deployed or is recovering, you can edit their inventory and drag in items to increase their strength. Common items drop from enemies all the time, and can even be compressed to take up less space and make room for more items.

    Special items: There are common, uncommon, and unique items in the game. The unique items are the best versions of the stat specific items that give the highest bonus that can possibly be given by a single item at once. Only one of each unique  item can drop, and are only obtainable from dream battles.

    Selling and compressing items: on the right side of the items menu are two things: the item press and the selling compartment. Items that are compressible can be dragged unto the press to make them smaller for a price. You can also sell unneeded items for a rather small sum of money, and if you sell enough items, you're given a consumable item that can be used to expand a unit's inventory by 1 small square.

    Plot Point: This game retells Embodiment of Scarlet Devil with the trademark red mist acting in the beginning as the catalyst for plot development; however, there are surprisingly many plot twists, character developments and cameo guest appearances from other games as well as portraying a prologue to Mountain of Faith's story. Altogether, the storyline is beautiful and much more rich in drama compared to the original Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.

    How It Works:  This is a fantastic little SRPG done in the style of the "Super Robot Taisen" series.  It works like you would expect a traditional SRPG to, except with expected Touhou elements; for example, if an enemy puts up a danmaku field, your girls will take penalties if they wander in without Focusing first, which negates said penalties.  (Your girls can move much further per turn when Unfocused, of course.)  For each exchange you get into, you can also freely enable or disable the nicely-animated scenes (which take a while to load, but are well-done; I usually enable them for exchanges with bosses).  Super Robot Taisen's "Wife" System also makes an appearance in this game, enabling your girls to learn special abilities beyond normal skills.  Also available are things like upgrading your girls' stats and skills, and four difficulties to choose from (you can also pick Reimu or Marisa as the protagonist).  If you clear the game, it is planned to allow your game-clear save to be able to carry over to the game's future sequel.

Touhou Gun'yuuden - Reimu no Yabou, literally translated as Eastern Brave - Reimu's Ambition, is a turn-based simulation strategy, combining tactical simulation gameplay and simple strategy elements such as building and collecting resources. The player takes the role of Reimu Hakurei, where she should build shrines near the wells to summon spirits in order to defeat monsters in combat. Victory is achieved when all the monsters have been destroyed, their map is captured, or another victory condition has been met. The game features 14 chapters and new characters can be unlocked in certain maps or chapters.

    Touhou Senrankan - Sakuya no Sho (English: Eastern War - The Chapter of Sakuya) is the third game in the Senrankan series, the direct sequel to Marisa no Sho, featuring the casts of Touhou Youyoumu and several others. The story is from the perspective of Sakuya in a turn-based strategy role-playing game. Battles take place in square grids, and each unit occupies one square. In Touhou Senrankan, each allied unit is represented by a card with her own abilities, strengths and weaknesess. Each unit can move up to a fixed amount of squares along the battlefield, determined by its move statistic. Depending on its location relative to enemies and to allies, a unit can also perform one action: attack, cast a spell, use an item, or search the area. Battle goals for the player are fairly simple: defeat all enemies or defeat the enemies' leader.

    Yabou no Gensoukyou, literally translated as The Ambition in Gensoukyou, is a turn-based tactical role-playing simulation grand strategy wargame developed by ちゆうどう. Set in warring states period, the game takes place in Gensoukyo with many warring factions, and the ultimate goal of the game is to unite all 36 factions. The gameplay is based on Nobunaga no Yabou, it revolves around managing statistics, each representing an attribute of a city or a character. The player must allocate resources to raise a capable military force, provide a productive economy to support both military and cities. Officers are numerically characterized by their leadership abilities, melee prowess, intellects and loyalty, as well as special traits or even magical abilities that can be called upon during wartime, diplomacy or domestic affairs. In addition to the warring phase, there are several ways to achieve victory, including intimidating enemy troops to retreat, provoke enemy officers which may lead to rebellion, stealing enemy's food, etc.

    1.A unique system including turn base and barrage — turn-based barrage system.
    1-1 What is the turn-based barrage system?
    To cut a long story short, it is a system syncretizing turn-based game and barrage. A system in which the barrages will move according to preset trajectory after players complete operation. A systemwhichletsplayersthink twice before every character’s every step so that their characters won’t be hurt by changing barrages. So this unique system requires players to have the ability of deducing situation they will face after several rounds and scan changes of battlefield in the dynamic perspective.Just think about how you try to guess your friend’s next step when playing chess, then you may understand the system better.

    1-2 How can I enjoy the turn-based barrage system?
    The answer is the diversity of barrage itself. In this aspect, TouHou Project’s official games and other barrage games have given us a lot of reference. Barrages in the game can be classified as:regular barrages,random barrages,tracking barrages and blocking barrages.Meanwhile, bosses’skills can add more changes to barrages. Let’s see two examples. Rumia can hide barrages, which means palyers can’t see her barrages completely. As a result, players have to deduce trajectory of barrages according to their acquaintance with barrages and then dodge them. Hon Meirin is good at knockback, so chances are that even if players have dodged barrages, Hon Merin can still use her skills to beat them back to the area surrounded by barrages or even to a barrage. We hope that we can combine bosses’skills with rules of barrages to create more plentiful experience.

    1-3 How can we cope with barrages?
    We provide three ways:dodge,just stand stillandelimination.Here we don’t to talk about the first and second ways more. As for the third way, players’ characters will have the ability of eliminating barrages. For example, we design some skills which allow players to eliminate barrages in a certain area, and some spell cards which can attack bosses while eliminating barrages in a large area. We believe that properly using skills of eliminating barrages while attacking bosses, together with barrage itself, will create something interesting. We hope we can make the system more attractive as possible as we can.

    ▲ Oh~ my friend, are you annoyed with being surrounded by barrages? Here is Master Spark, eliminates abundant barrages in a line, releases powerful blast to the maximum and leaves no side effects at the same time. Are you sure you can refuse such a mighty spell card?

    ▲ Besides active attacking skills, some supporting skills also have the effect of eliminating barrages. How to use these skills properly will become the core of the system
    2.Six kinds of skills, weave , combine and mutate.
    We will spend most of time on developing skills in the following days. After all, combos between skills decide whether the game is attractive. So far, we’ve designed and classified skills as following:

    ▲ Attack,Instant damage without any cost. Meanwhile you can also recover your mana. But it will be restricted by distance.

    ▲ Defensive skills,Reduce damage from bosses’ attack.

    ▲ Barrage skills,Bosses only at present. Bosses will use barrages to fulfill the battlefield, surround players’ characters and finally kill them.

    ▲ Spell card,High damage, high cost and various additional effects.

    ▲ Summons skills,Bosses only. Bosses will summon servants to raise their damage.

    ▲ Supporting skills,Skills of coping with different situation and raising combating effect.
    2-1 System of opponents’ skills
    As for opponents’skills, we preset three motivating method:RA(random and active),CA(conditional and active),andCP(conditional and passive).ere is brief explanation:
    Generally, opponents will randomly launch a skill randomly every round.
    When some conditions are met, opponents will launch one or several active skills.
    When some conditions are met, one or several passive skills will be motivated.种被动。

    2-2 System of players’ skills
    or four skills. Attack has restriction on scope, skills will cost characters’ mana and defense has no restriction. Besides all above, there are other several rules:
    Restriction on scope.
    Some skills only have certain effective rounds.
    Some skills have CD.
    Some passive skills cannot be motivated inbattles but they will take effect continuously (For example, floating opponents won’t be influenced by environment.)
    What’s more, in our next developing step, we are considering letting players themselves choose skills

    2-3 Servant system ——Icing on the cake
    To keep players from being bored with the pattern of fighting against bosses, bosses will summon two to four servants to combat together. Every servant has its respective action bar, which means players should regard each servant as an opponent. Servants have their own action patterns as well as interactive(with their masters of course) action patterns. How and when to cope with these servants properly will also be an interesting core remaining to be pondered on.

    3.team , items and storyline exploration
    3-1 System of team
    ‘TouHou Nil Soul’ is a turn-based barrage game requiring all characters ally against opponents. At most five characters are permitted in one team. More characters will be unlocked with the exploration of storyline. Each character has different position and feature. Using these features properly to foster strengths and circumvent weaknesses will make your combat more efficient. What’s more, each character will have following designing:
    Potential combating statistics.
    Three or four innate skills(we will improve this aspect in the following editions)
    Three slots for: weapons, armors and accessories.

    ▲ You can check and adjust characters’ status when you configure team for next battle. Grey characters are unavailable.
    3-2 System of items
    We design the system of items of course. Putting different items into right slots can considerably raise characters’ statistics, which will do help to your following battles. Here is some information about items:
    The only way to gain items so far is: First, win a battle. Second, go to Kourindouand get some dormant items. Third, infuse ‘Nil Soul’ into items and waken them. Now you can use them.
    Wakened items have random statistics.
    Different levels will randomly drop different items. For example, if you get a Reimu’s weapon in ‘Hakurei Shrine’, then next time you may see this weapon in another level instead of ‘Hakurei Shrine’. The reason why we design this mechanism is that we hope we can avoid letting players play one level repeatedly just for one specific item.
    So far, each character has her private weapon but armors and accessories can be used universally
    All dormant items you get from all levels will only exist before next time you get new dormant items. In other words, if you don’t waken dormant items you get from the last battle during the period between the last battle and next battle, these dormant items will be replaced by new dormant items

    ▲ fter you win a battle, you can get some dormant items in Kourindou. Since the ‘Nil Soul’ is finite, it deserves to think twice before wakening items.
    3-3 System of levels
    We design a map ranging from Hakurei Shrine to Scarlet Devil Mansion.What’s more, you will see some special landmarks on this map, they correspond to battlefields in official games.Yes, those familiar opponents will challenge you when you exploring the map. Here is the explanation in detail about this system:
    You can only unlock next area by defeat the boss of this area.
    You can challenge every area repeatedly.
    You will get random items from different area.
    Story of each area will only be motivated the first time you challenge the area
    What’s more, we are trying our best to polish this aspect and enrich players’ experience of exploring the map.

    ▲ Once you’ve explored the whole map, you will get a picture of part of Gensoukyo. By the way, we haven’t designed this picture completely on the basis of official games.
    4.ther things we think we should display here
    4-1 Characters in the official game ‘the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil’ are all available.
    Besides Reimu and Marisa, nine characters in ‘the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil’ will appear in our game. They will be unlocked with players’ exploration of storyline.

    ▲ The deblocking of two vampire bosses has some special conditions so we decide not to display their images here.
    4-2 Humorous storyline
    We fill this game with a great deal of stories. While enjoying the main line, we hope these stories can make you smile knowingly.
    Yes, it is just a relaxing game, a pleasant game from the beginning to the end. So, you can motivate any story as you wish.

    4-3 Salute the original music——Remix based on original music
    In recent years, the mainstream of composing TouHou fan music is reshaping original music. Actually, we’ve chosen a different way when we developing game music. We decide to use the remix adaption of original music (which is closer to original music). So far, we’ve completed 23 songs. Well, that’s not the end. This number is still raising.

Gameplay wise, the player will be taking over a squad of Touhou characters and battling on three-dimensional isometric based maps in a turn-based system. The characters move on a battlefield composed of square tiles where movement and action range are determined by the character's statistics. As the player advances, they'll be able to level up characters, equip weapons and effects. However, the game doesn't feature a character class system, and thus there are no job points and characters can't change jobs.
