  1. I don't know whether you're trolling or not, but I do know that trying to be preachy will only put others off. Don't try to police people; that's my job.

  2. I don't want to touch this, and I'm far too upset about it to address it properly, but the longer its left the worse it's getting. RoboticSquire, with all due respect, you're out of line here. It's one thing to be concerned about the mannerisms and behavior of people around you; plenty of people from multiple perspectives will sympathize with the general sentiment. But you are not concerned; you are offended, and you have no right to be. You are making accusations in arrogance; you want people to change because you're uncomfortable, not because you actually care about them. 1 Corinthians 13:1-2 says "If I speak with tongue of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing." For your own sake, please stop this; you are not going to accomplish anything.

  3. The way the term "fic" was brought about here doesn't mean yukayay is attacking a fanfic made by RoboticSquire, it means they're criticizing the strange way they went about criticizing the character of marisa because she's a witch by concept or something. I suspect this is the thread that talks about this: As for your question, Squire. You're an young and impressionable person, and I'm sure you still have much to learn in your life. But if there's one thing the Bible teaches us, is that we should treat others with respect and dignity, regardless of who they are. Let people live the way they want to live, accept others for who they are, be understanding, cool your jets. This will come a long way into making your interpersonal relationships healthier, regardless of your beliefs. A pretty quick way to earn other people's animosity is antagonizing them by who they are and what they like constantly.

  4. hate to break it to you but literally everything on the internet has this. the idea of being a pervert has been alive for sooooooooo much time that it has become a staple on the internet itself (rule34, ya know). so unless you legitimately just remove yourself from any kind of media, you cannot escape from eventually seeing nsfw and derivatives. as to why touhou has this many hentai, I'd just say it's mostly by how old it is, so it has accumulated quite a few questionable artworks. add common fetishes to the mix and touhou is, unfortunately, a perfect fit (example being people having fdom fetishes with Yuuka Kazami) I do occasionally consume such works but I'd consider it more as a hobby. oh! nice to add that people who do legit sfw art that looks nice almost always work with nsfw in the background because it is good practice. believe it or not, drawing something naked just for the sake of it can help better general body drawing and understanding. and if I am to go to hell, then I'm proud to do so ;) ain't got nothing to fear

  5. Digital Moonlight By: Richter Season 138, End of Spring Garden Status: Sup-optimal, rains have been disappointing, and will have to compensate with magical influence(See “Nature of Hydroponic Gardening”, Shelf 15 Row 3 Book 4). Gatekeeper is too focused on playing with child-like youkai to take of the more decorative flowers properly Current Research Subject: Digital Technology and its effects on the conscious mind. A recent visit to Eientei for some superfluous social gathering Remi insisted on dragging me to yielded surprising findings: The princess of the estate, one Kaguya Houraisan showed off a strange piece of outside-world technology capable of displaying and sorting information rapidly. While it made troubling noises and required one of the rabbit servants to power it by pedaling on a stationary bike, she showed off its abilities. Of particular note are the media she kept on it, stories told like electronic puppet shows featuring a bright and cheery art style that emphasized large eyes and small noses. I managed to persuade the princess and her observing doctor(Eirin Yagokoro) to allow me to observe her using it for a period of time yet to be defined. The intention of this study is not to steal or replicate the technology as of yet, but to understand its effects fully. Note: The name “digital” is mentioned in many outside-world texts in reference to two sacred numbers which act as polar opposites, likely as runes to allow this thinking machine to sort information. —---------------------------------------------------------------- The unmoving library sleeps over her report, her unnatural body still needing some rest as she is shaken awake. Today is the first day of observation of the effects of digital technology in constant use. The magician has her hair washed and tied up in preparation for the journey through the bamboo forest as she picks out a recognizable, noble, but comfortable robe cinched at the waist with a corset to give it the appearance of a dress. Her usual slippers are taken by her faithful servant in a bag along with notebooks, writing utensils, and equipment for measuring the health and concentration of a subject. “Lady Patchouli, may we walk today? We have plenty of time before we're expected, It would be quite rude to arrive too early” the small devil says with a smile as they step out into the early morning sun. The magician sighs: “..Fine, but we're not stopping in the village for anything” she says as the gatekeeper peers an eye open at the couple, tilting her head in surprise, but knowing better than to say anything. The dull early morning sunlight offers a gentle light to the journey as Patchouli goes over her method for the study in her head: To conduct some basic vision and concentration tests, observe the princess in her daily routine, then perform the same test at noon. Observation will be kept up until dinner. Koakuma seems to rejoice in a chance to leave the mansion with her reclusive master as they see the fairies wake up and flit about, hear the songs of the local fauna, and crisp morning dew on their shoes. The two are guided through the labyrinthine forest by the white-haired hermit who Remi still brags about besting in Danmaku despite the dubious circumstance of the match. It's a quiet walk, the only extrovertive member of the party knowing her master's tolerance for small talk was fairly low. The house of eternity was an exquisite example of traditional Japanese architecture, with its rabbit servants being directed in morning preparations. The white-haired hermit leaves the group before they enter without a word, promising the group she will be available to escort them back. The lunar rabbit and her master, doctor Eirin Yagokoro stand at the entrance dressed finely for the occasion. Koakuma exchanges pleasantries with the lunar rabbit as Patchouli walks toward the princess's chambers with the doctor. “She is not awake yet. Last night's festivities have taken a toll on her” the doctor says, adopting a colder, calculating voice than she uses with the rabbits. “I see.. Has her constitution always been particularly fragile?” “Yes, despite her abilities she tends to strain herself easily” Patchouli notes this as she notes how tall and straight-backed the doctor is, a posture that is uncommon among even the healthier women of the human village who are of advanced age as her grey hair would point. Eirin slides open the door to Kaguya’s large chambers. The girl sleeps in a bedraggled manner on her futon. The device from last night was upside down on the floor next to her the air of fried food can be smelled in the room, even if it is otherwise clean. The doctor gently shakes the girl awake, helping her up so she can be made presentable in the other room. Patchouli takes a moment to set out her equipment and inspect the folding screens and artifacts in the girl's room. She keeps an assortment of odd-looking devices, seeming like smaller versions of her own device with some even having a folding screen for greater storage capabilities. Patchouli makes sketches of these. After an hour, the princess re-enters her own room, her long black hair groomed and the princess dressed in a crimson and gold kimono, the obi tied loose for comfort. Eirin excuses herself to manage the household, as Patchouli watches the girl's elegance leave with her, sitting down on her futon an sighing in frustration at her device. It does not light up as it did last night. “Uhhhhhhh…” she groans as she rings a bell, a rabbit servant coming to charge it by bike “Miss Houraisan, while the device is being filled with power, I ask you focus on this simple set of tests” Patchouli says as she prepares a deck of cards with shapes on them “Is this part of your study? I just wanted to show you some of the games I’ve found on this thing” The princess says “....You thought this was a social call” “Yeah, I’m not good at memory games so let's skip it” “But-” “Oh! There we go! This one is really fun..” Kaguya ignores the scientific aspect like a child wishing to show a friend a new toy. Her game includes the digital puppet shows from before but is interspersed between sections of gameplay involving maneuvering cute, demon-like creatures and penguin-suited people. The princess brags about her large numbers and comments on the “grindy” nature of the game. Her enthusiasm for her game overwhelms the shut-in mage as lunch flies by. As the sun shows signs of starting to set, Kaguya yawns: “That was fun! Do you want to try playing? I’ll let you take it back if you promise to bring it back” She says to the socially burnt-out Patchouli “O-Okay..” she says as Kaguya mutter something over her device… “Its battery should hold for a long time now” she says with a wink, before yawning again. “I’m getting sleepy..” she says as she slips under the covers of her futon. “..Excuse me? Its barely evening…” Patchouli says, still socially off balance The girl rolls herself over to look toward Patchy: “Give me a break, I’ll be up early tomorrow..” she says as her eyelids grow heavy and she stretches out. The mage sits stunned at the utter inelegance of the princess as the lunar rabbit opens the door quietly: “Oh dear. Just let her sleep Miss Patchouli, Master Yagokoro will handle her” Patchouli nods as she puts the device in her bag “Oh, and that devil girl is really helpful! We organized all the patient records while you were with the princess!” The lunar rabbit says excitedly as Patchi gives a slight smile, glad Koakuma made use of herself for once. Patchouli would find that the device was a dangerous time-waster upon further research, causing her to miss research goals and improperly file books due to spending too much time optimizing her party of demons and penguins.

  6. As a member of the Chinese community I simply cannot take this. This thread is absolute madness. Instead of spreading love and respect or taking our time to think what Yu Huang Shang-Ti has done for us people are arguing here. This must be stopped! People are even talking about "NSFW" stuff. I'm not really sure what it's about and I will not look at it. You people make me sick! What has this forum become? NNs spreading misinformation and arguing is not to be allowed. With all due respect to the people who came to this read to fight for our fellow soldiers of China we must keep this place clean from anything like this. - Your best friend Edoll

  7. I've seen at least first 3 videos, or in he case of XG3E, bore witness to his "mommy" videos absolutely rampaging my recommended for a time. Good old youtube. And all I have to say is... well, I just don't agree at all with any of what they say. One is just a fad of repeating the same clip with swapped fanart of one particular character (some, admittedly nice) while the other two either write something purely for meme value, characterize your personality as being the same as your favorite Touhou character or make up a personality that quite frankly does not relate to anything I've seen in reality (at least by any form of specific behavior, it's all broad strokes when it lands). Speaking of suwawako: Maybe he's a had a lot more contact with the fanbase to draw these stereotypes, but in my eyes, the feel like some attempt to imagine what the fan of each character would look like, to pad out for content. Personality Tests are an evergreen mine of clicks,so from a channel maker standpoint, these are a great idea, even if you have to complement anecdotal experience with pure conjecture, or worse, instinct. As for my top 10: Aside from the podium always being Patchouli, Suika and Yuyuko, the rest of the list is pretty volatile and seems to change every time I do that test. It's interesting because it doesn't ask you a traditional placing of characters in a list, but rather, decides your preference for you in a duel format. Perhaps that's a better way of rating what your true preferences are? I find it to be messy, especially, after reflecting for a bit, I realize often don't give the right answer to a duel question simply because I want to move on quickly from a poll with so many questions.

  8. Honestly, I was hoping we would not come back to this so quickly, but since my presence and mention of specific materials has been called out recently as a negative example towards the forum and community as a whole, I think I might be coming back soon with a declaration. Until that, I have some more issues to solve irl first

  9. Nah my bad I didn’t got it, so, sorry dude ^^ So what ? It’s not an excuse to make a scene over nothing, you’re both teenagers so you both need to grow up nobody here needs to see your little argument so if you want to continue barking on each other do it in private messages. Don’t you think that you are insulting us as well by generalizing the Touhou fandom ? Let’s conclude it once for all : we are different so if someone enjoy something you hate stop oppressing them, and finally, nobody is forcing you to watch NSFW content. For example @yukayay don’t like religion but isn’t forcing you to stop being Catholic Also, I enjoy Touhou since 2016 and never paid attention to NSFW content so you have two choices : ignore it just like me or cry about it

  10. To be honest, for most of my experience of two years (as of yet) being part of this community, pretty much 95% of the time I did not have any real problems or encountered toxicity among fans. Things seems to have changed quite a bit for about half a year now though, as I am slowly starting to see more and more hidden, nastier sides of our fandom at large (at least as much as I can reach in the English side of the world; if I were to take the Japanese fandom itself, from which we are quite a separate entity it seems, that one would a whole different rabbit hole to jump in, filled with tons of things we most likely are not familiar with or not prepared for...)

  11. Lets say there are also plenty of us here who are not into NSFW stuff, your argument would become invalid(unless you perhaps have data backing that up) Dont over-generalise. Even if you wanted to rant, you could have atleast been been specific. Thats all I got to say, also not much we can do it about it.

  13. Header sample bottom text Ok so I'm just hella bored and was trying to think of a topic to post about here, but unfortunately I suck at having ideas so this'll do for now The rankings: Moriya Dark: The classic look, slick and comfortable. lé og 8/10 Moriya Light: I put this on thinking I'd get flashbanged immediately but it is surprisingly nice and actually not that bright! 7/10. Shrine iLight: Do you hate your eyes? Have you ever felt the need to know what it's like to kiss the sun? Well I have great news for you! This theme is the embodiment of the word "light" at its finest. Have fun, light theme enjoyers! death/10 Shrine iDark: Clean, slick, comfortable, and stylish. Easy to use and very considerate of your eyesight, contrary to its light counterpart. It is what I currently use and man, does it look nice. (I changed color to #1f1e33 and damn it looks sick) great/10 I'm sorry I'm bad at starting conversations Just in case any of you don't know what I'm talking about or how to change the theme, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll see a "Theme" option. Then just change it

  15. well I just got my first downvote on this place, really unfortunate as for the eternal damnation thingy I really don't care nor believe it's even real when I said that I remembered why I hate religions and religious people, it's because it incites discussions and unnecessary disrespect anyways think I'm off of this thread for now as nazucos said: "chill babe, we're all bad in someone's story"

  16. Oooh yikes. You think messing with those wicked things is a harnless "hobby", you're going to face a horrible consequence of your sins, as what it did to me. And not fearing Hell is so stupid, you really seared your conscience too hard, to the point you stop caring. It is a place of pain with no rest, do you want to live in this eternal torment? Consider of what will happen to you in the future.

  19. I've added back the classic background for both iDark and iLight with my magic backdoor access. Might tweak some other things regarding the themes as well if no one else takes care of it by the time I decide to do anything

  20. For my favorite music, hm. I guess it could be the Legends of Hourai, Love Coloured Master Spark (Ironic because I don't like Marisa.), maybe Captain Murasa. My fav fanfics, not really a "favorite" per se, but it is a good one. My Name is Kasen Ibaraki Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/43219903. My hobby is writing, even though I don't do it as much. The most intellectual Touhou character is The Yakumo Family, because they know math better than me.

  21. I will try to keep it short this time. Besides the obvious "Moriya Shrine is a website for piracy", why else are we so hated in the big Touhou communities? It seems like every time I go somewhere, even mentioning the name of this website is forbidden, and could very much cost you your presence on that platform. Not to say that reception is also pretty...interesting to say the least. I will just leave a few examples below. Even of all of them are from r/touhou, Discord seems to be the same ground. And everything seems to have become worse since the DMCA back in March. Now, people seem to be feeling more free to talk smack about Moriya Shrine, saying that we absolutely deserved this fate for our illegal activities. Some even celebrated the nuking of all these games, because they said this will encourage people to actually buy the games. Anyway, time for the examples: This was from when I started the discussion about TheOVJM there too. Accidentally, I have left a link towards a thread from buskerdog in the text, and the moderators detected it as "promotion or discussing means of piracy". Like seriously WTF. It seems like the forum is just as unwelcomed as anything else from here. From the same thread, just part of a comments chain. I am not sure what to comment about the games from 6 to 8, about PC-98 in itself (now more than likely lost), and about apparent misconduct on the side of this website's administration. It is up to anyone in here to explain what happened. Now for a bit I have already mentioned back in the over-analysis of the April Fools posts. Those bits of text came in about the same week as the DMCA, so Reddit was already going at it: So, we are starting with a brief reminder of the events that took place that week. As everyone can remember, on the 25th of March 2022, the Touhou community got hit by two dramas. We are not foreign from the concept of a drama going on in here, but having two in the span of a few hours (or in my case, waking up in the morning with both news) has been quite different. Even if it was the 1st of April, let's see what the administration had to say and what measures did they allegedly wanted to apply... Again, a reference to the anti-piracy policy promoted by the big communities. Places like Moriya Shrine are seen as anathema, and any mention of them will bring you a ban from that server. I mean it is fair; this is a place of piracy, and at least in the rest of the world (Romania seems to be an exception), piracy is seen as a big crime. And indeed, we do have the games on Steam, at least from Touhou 9 to 18, so you would not need to pirate them (plus, the paid money would go to support ZUN). I think here in Romania we are kind of a weird place. Not only we (as well as most of Eastern Europe and Balkans) are not just a safe heaven for pirates and hackers, but also online piracy is seen as quite the norm. Even businesses, especially the smaller ones, pirate their software, while televisions wake up in the middle of their transmission on screens with messages like "Activate Windows". usually, the act seems to be justified here through the "we are too poor to afford a license or actually buy the thing", which seems to be come more and more true nowadays. Yet another throw at Moriya Shrine. Many must have celebrated that day "the fall of the evil pirating website", and "the victory of the forces of good led by our Almighty Lord ZUN and his legal team". And now, this for the ending. Have you observed the problem of poor reputation this website has online, or been witness to the basing of MS in any online media? This is the place to talk about it.
