  1. So at the start I'm Deiffu and i've been a touhou fan for atleast a year now. I'm really into bullet hell games and as for now i have 1cc'd four mainline games. Also im a somewhat skilled artist tho i'm not really good at it yet. My favorite 2hu is Mamizou.

  2. Hi Deiffu! It's nice to meet you and I hope you enjoy being around here! It's cool that you cleared 4 of the main games already and I'm always happy to see more Mamizou fans!

  3. So I have no art skills, so they aren’t exactly designed, but I have clear idea for them. I have an idea for a cast of a touhou game taking place in former hell, where an incident happens due to a goddess losing almost all of her faith and things start disappearing. Said goddess, who isn’t formally named, would be a goddess of the small things in life, like the crunch of leaves underfoot or grass waving in the wind. Her shrine was isolated after the whole conflicts between oni, tengu, and kappa happened. She is the titular stage 6 boss. Her design would be pale blue long hair, with a simple white dress with symbols of flowers, grass, and apples on it. She has a laurel on her hair as well. Her only current source of faith is the tsukumogami she created, being one of a goblet. This character is my favorite out of the cast I have so far, being the stage 5 boss. Her powers are of absorption, using the goblet she has chained to her neck as a vessel to absorb stuff. She can then release it back at similar power, so it’s kinda like yuuma without storage, making it closer to reflection. Her design would be white hair tied into a left sided long pigtail, along with a blue and gold robe with a white under shirt and black pants and boots. Next is the stage 4 boss, a type of youkai adjacent to satori youkai. This character is named Violet Raja, and she can manipulate the senses. She can basically control waves of disrupting particles, called psychic winds, that cause temporary loss or sharpening of a sense. She directs the protagonist towards the abandoned shrine in which the goddess lies, as the stage 5 boss is an acquaintance of hers. Her design is a red grilled black dress, short curly purple hair, and a black bowler hat similar to iku’s. She has a simple sword she carries around as well. The last character I wanna talk about is a shrine maiden. She doesn’t have a god to worship yet, so she wanders about in search of one. However, when the incident occurs she was drawn toward the underground as a result of it, eventually finding out about the stage 6 boss after the incident. She becomes the shrine maiden for that goddess and helps her make a shrine near the entrance to the underground. Her design is bright pink hair that’s about shoulder length, a set of clothes kind like PC 98 reimu’s design but with some extra bits of flair. And that’s what I have so far, but I’m probably going to attempt to make it happen once I start to learn some computer programming skills. Either that or I write sone kind of fan work for it.

  4. I kind of have an OC, but I've only recently thought her up, being earlier this month in fact. My OC is Fallout (for now), and you can probably guess why. She's within the world of Touhou and Gensokyo, and she is inspired by Okuu, as it will become clear. She is a half-youkai half-human, with her youkai half being a hell raven. I'm still thinking about her backstory, but I want her to be related to Okuu somehow, with my current thoughts being her daughter*. She unsurprisingly lives in Former Hell, however she doesn't live in Chireiden with Satori, living within the Old Capital. *As I am writing this, I've decided that she will indeed be Okuu's daughter, the father being me of course lol The image above is the only way she is currently represented, a nuclear warning symbol with raven wings; something basic that I made myself a while back, long before her conception. I hope to build more upon her, and to someday think of a proper character design.

  7. Howdy! I'm pretty new too but I'm getting the vibe of things. I can't beat a stage 6 boss without my legs going pale so you got me beat! Looking forward to seeing some of your art.

  9. I have been working on my own design since 2020, but only recently I have started to give her more lore/development. Interestingly enough, it started with me being bored one evening and just thinking about designing a cute girl (a bit of a thought experiment at the time, as I was still making lots of military stuff at the time). Therefore, one silly design gradually started developing for a while as a "dream girl". Which in some measure she still is, but I wanted to add more to that and develop her into an actual character. Therefore, all me to introduce "Catherine": Now that the image part is done, time for a proper character info sheet (at least as much as I have right now) How about you, denizens of the Moriya Shrine? Has anyone else developed their own character they would like to talk about?

  11. I think it went like this: i played eosd at first then jumping into pcb and 1cc'ing it on normal (every other 1cc is also normal),following that with MoF next accidentialy 1cc'ing LLS and grinding my way through TD ending as for now with IN. Mystia izakaya, man i love this game. It's kinda hard to pick but i whould say Sagume.

  12. Anime and undertale. I was a big fan of undertale in 2015-2019, and there was a sakuya vs chara video that i remembered watching only after getting into anime a year ago. Drawing, mostly anime but also realistic from time to time. I don't think i am into other community other than touhou

  13. Heya fellow newcomer, I got a few questions. - What got you into the series? - what are some of your hobbies outside of the series? - what is the most niche community you are involved in?

  15. Hello, and welcome! It's pretty awesome that you've already 1 cc'd 4 games already. I've been a Touhou fan for, actually 2 years as of this week I believe. I kinda suck at the danmaku games and the bullet hell genre in general, and the only official game I've played and completed is AoCF, which even then I struggled with (^^; I'll look at your Twitter and let you know what I think. And once again, welcome to the Moriya Shrine forums!

  17. I used to be a danganronpa fan… then I got through v3 and kinda hated the end. The second game is super good though, with Chiaki being the best character there. However, the community isn’t great and I just have mostly bitter ends to it unfortunately. I definitely feeds into the weeb perception of myself though. Also, if you liked love is war then you would love saiki K, as it has that same kind of not spending too long on one joke and well made characters.

  18. I used to be in habit of just playing games and watching YouTube, so I understand if you didn't have enough time to watch more shows. It's nice to meet another person who enjoys Love is war though! It's one of favourites animes and I love the characters so much! My sister liked watching Saiki K and Jojo too. Hopefully you'll be able to visit those countries one day! I've always wanted to go to Iceland, since it's one of the best places to see the northern lights. There's plenty of fun activities to do over there like skiing. I also prefer places with nature, instead of being stuck in the city. I just find it peaceful to be surrounded by greenery and it's one of the reasons why I'm planning on moving to the countryside. As someone who lives in the UK, I enjoy the amount of rain we get here as well. I wanted to get involved with the Danganronpa community a few years ago. There weren't many forums to talk about it back then, but the series grew in popularity and I wouldn't consider it to be niche anymore. There's probably a lot of people in that community who are fans of touhou now!

  20. Ok this is a funny topic, as you may not expect the answer. So, I seem like a guy who’d watch anime, as I’m a touhou fan and play like 4 different gacha games. However, it’s been around 2 years since I watched anime and I’m not super into it. I like some, but I think it’s the way I consume media that is the issue, as I usually play games and watch youtube simultaneously. However, I’ve really enjoyed slice of life like the disastrous life of saiki K and love is war, along with my favorite series being JoJo. I only speak english, but I took like one year of French so I know a little bit but can only really read it. The countries I’d want to visit are Iceland, Canada, and the UK, for similar reasons. I love nature, and the landscape of those areas would be so nice to be in. I also would love to run something there, as different landscapes offer some fun runs. Like, getting a little lost in trails in Iceland would be awesome. The UK specifically has a lot of rain, and I love the rain a lot. I’m not a huge traveler in general though. On questions for y’all, I say what is the most niche community you are in, as I have theory that there’s at least one touhou fan in every community.

  21. Today Yesterday I learned that that calm bit that plays in orchestral versions of Proof of a Hero originates as its own track from the first Monster Hunter, and the original is gorgeous...

  23. Circumstance has delayed opportunity to feature the surprise masterpiece of Hi-Fi Rush, which released with barely more than an announcement and proceeded to become one of the best received games of the year thus far. The music replicates the style of rock popular in the 90's and early 2000's, adapted for a modern rhythm game; the result is one of best soundtracks I've heard in a while, and easily a contender for top five of the year (knock on wood). In addition to the standard soundtrack, the game contains a selection of licensed music for boss fights and other select moments; however, for the convenience of those who wished to stream or otherwise publicly play the game, alternate tracks were composed in similar arrangements as a replacement option. While the circumstances would imply a "we have x at home" situation, these alternative songs actually hold their own, with the added distinction of fitting a bit more cohesively into the soundtrack imo.

  24. Well, although I wouldn't introduce them "OCs", I do have an extensive folder of fantasy characters for roleplaying as in Dungeons & Dragons - some more developed than others. There's only one of them I'm currently playing as, which consequently makes them the character that is most developed and I am most attached to. I'm not really sure if I want to share here, though. On another similar note I also come up with character ideas to populate games I design, but they're not much developed beyond concepts.
