Are you sure the exe file is legit? It says it uses APIs to take screenshots and to track the mouse:

at first it seems to be preventing me from opening Touhou 18.5 because of Windows Defender. after I restored the quarantined .exe file I was able to open it again.

dont know about yall who has the same problem tho

Can't play because it says it contains a virus :(

this happens when i want to open it, how do i even patch it?

Alright can anybody help me out please with this? I have never dealt with torrent files before but I see comments of other people having gotten to play the game well I cannot at all. I used qbittorrent got the zip folder and everytime I try to extract the files I get the ''you need administrator permission'' error so I cannot get everything to go and I have tried editing permissions of the folder itself too even set it to everyone it still does the same thing.

But the other thing I seem to have is the .exe for the actual game is not there for me all I have is an unusuable .dat file so much help would be appreciated here on this because it's getting rather annoying now and I am at my wits end never had this kinda issue before for extracting files and where is the .exe?

I used qbittorrent for mine but I am still having issue I cannot get the thing to download all the files mine for whatever reason is missing files when I try and extract it says 7 but I only have a few I have a unsuable .dat and the .exe for the game is not there for some reason and each time I try I get the need administrator permission error I tried changing ownership of the folder and it still says the same thing is picotorrent better? because I have 0 clue how to even get the game period. I dunno why mine does not have the .exe with it what the heck.

 Try this solution. One of the 18.5 files you downloaded is quarantined. I managed to solve it

Its not the only one that the file has, windows defender has at least blocked it 4 different times and each one was a new trojan lol

So is this download malicious or not? My antivirus software didn't pick up on anything while it was downloading, but today, when I did an unrelated virus scan, Malwarebytes detected the Touhou 18.5 exe file as a trojan. On the one hand, it seems pretty suspicious that it hid itself from initial detection (and that it was even picked up on as malware after it was downloaded in the first place, which I'm pretty sure is uncommon). On the other hand, nothing bad seems to have happened to my computer or any of my personal information, and it seems like the detection was made by some experimental AI algorithm. Better safe than sorry though, I've unfortunately deleted it. You can never be too sure, especially since Marisa is this game's protagonist.

Pretty sure, use a vpn or something, Im not a professional but be careful

It says it's a torrent file. Does that mean I need to download Torrent? Other games do not require this but rather come in an unzippable file.

Hey thanks for the help there I would have never imagined my antivirus would move the file quietly over without my notice I got the .exe file for the game but now here is the next problem I have. My game does not seem to want to start at all like at first I got some message in japanese saying something about a direct input an direct 3D dunno what that is. I tried different screen resolutions to no avail what will happen is the game will open up but then right after lose again by itself is there any fix to that or what known issue it is? It is like fate just does not want me to play this game at all an it is throwing all sorts of BS my way that I never ha an issue with in the past downloading Touhou games. I have never had this much issue trying to get 1 game to run

u can use terabox to replace qbittorrent. just download the bt file, download the zip and ur done!

I have found out that its a very dangerous virus. Please look for more info to see if its a false positive or not.

It doesn't let me play
