Most of this whole conversation when it comes to the legality of "cunny" all boils down to a whole can of worms constructed by their personalities. They're either misleading or straight up false with no source whatsoever.

It stems from the pleasure of recognizing things. Have you ever noticed how when you see someone for the first time, it doesn't really feel like anything special, but once you know them you'll get a little jolt of dopamine in your brain every time you see them? Seeing hentai of your favorite character mixes together that 'recognition pleasure' with the sexual pleasure. When you have a porn addiction, the most generic forms of lewd content quickly become boring, so in order to keep your attention everything needs to do something extra, having recognizable characters can contribute to that. Why do people like so much seeing porn/erotic material done based on their favorite franchises? Like where is the charm coming from? Is it some sort of desire we have, or we merely treat is as just another object for satisfying our short-terms needs and wants? Could that desire for sex not be satisfied through other means? Like if you want some porn, why does it need to be about your favorite character(s)?
While I agree that being terminally online is bad, but the thing is, that being sheltered most of the time is also awful to the human mind. That and combined with unlimited access is a recipe for disaster. It's how you got children (and man-children) complain about the most trivial things you can imagine.but that maybe you being sheltered wasn't so bad, because the opposite situation of growing up immersed in uninhibited free-for-alls like Discord and 4chan is probably even worse for human development.
From where did you conclude this idea of moderation in everything being the only real form of "control" over oneself? If it's true, how then does it not apply to moderation itself, implying that you should at some points completely stop or go all-in on something? Would you tell a heroin addict who just got out of rehab that he's actually addicted to not doing heroin now, and he needs to start doing heroin in moderation in order to find control in himself? While I agree that being terminally online is bad, but the thing is, that being sheltered most of the time is also awful to the human mind. As for porn, there's nothing wrong with consume porn in moderation, it's one thing if you have a addiction, but stopping it altogether is just another said addiction. And by that, you didn't found control in yourself.
And look, I'm not saying as a troll, if I sound negative then it wasn't the intention.
When it comes to law in my region, it is a mixed bag. The Kurdistan region has some autonomy to have their own penal codes, mostly based off of following or opposing new changes in Iraq's laws made by the MOJ (Ministry of Justice) since there really hasn't been any new laws that culminated from the Kurdistan region itself in the scope of the thread's concern. The Romanian Penal Code does not go in as much detail about all the media through which such content is created or spread, but has a different, interesting part - the "despite not depicting a real person".
This made me really think how the Middle East also views Japanese Loli content, mostly in terms of Islam itself. I have been told when I was younger that topics related to sexual education for younger people should be entwined with morality, which has created a learning environment which from personal experience, any sort of depiction of underage peoples in sexual situations is morally wrong. I was told that it was haram but I was never told that repenting for such an offense would be forgiven, aside from being outcasted in social circles for thinking bad of you.Christianity has taught us to view everything as a sin, yet Buddhism & Shintoism teaches one to embrace life's pleasures
Quite impressively about this, this sentiment also holds true in an Islamic society (in terms of the face value thought). I was also quite a culture-shook when I discovered smut content, and so did my fellow colleagues when I was 18-19. The idea of symbolism behind Loli content was also a point that I never thought of due to how my background shaped my thoughts until I saw your argument.I think this point stems from the fact that historically, western art was very realistic and very much an "at face value" experience, symbolism taking the backseat most times. So now when the same idea of realism is brought to that, it isn't that much of a surprise why people think what they do.

Very interesting perspective. Thank you for your contribution to the thread.Hello there, I came way across this thread and found these takes interesting so I want to provide my opinion on this as an Agnostic Ex-Muslim Kurdish-Iraqi who lives in the Kurdistan autonomous region. (this post would be geared more into talking about the aspect of Loli content and its "morality" in the region I live in, than a general why touohu fans are steamy).
