Touhou Poetry Thread

YuyuFumo

Silly Ghost Princess
In lieu of my previous post, I've decided to create a thread solely towards the posting of my various Touhou-themed poems. I'll probably post one every couple of days, depending on what I've got going on in my personal life, so feel free to supplement the thread with your own poems if you'd like. Thank you, here's the poetry:

Rumia, Rumia

Rumia, Rumia, in the darkness of night
Running into trees in the middle of flight
A man-eating yokai with looks that deceive
A young, playful girl with her heart on her sleeve

What are you, Rumia, and where are you from?
A normal upbringing or a history that's glum?
Secrets long kept by the ribbon in your hair
With a long lost miko whose feelings you share

Or maybe, into this, I'm looking too deep
Maybe you're just a child without need for sleep
As you hunt men by twilight off the beaten path
Simply for food, not some deep-seated wrath

Rumia, Rumia, in the darkness of night
As you smile and laugh and soar high as a kite
With mischief in your heart and innocence so white
I hope you never change, you beautiful sight

This is nice, especially if you get the direct references.

Is it alright if we leave our own poetry here?
Eastern Judgement

Court is now in session, it's time for a lesson
For sinners who've not died, and yet will be tried
For the misdeeds they've done, those spared will be none
Before Eiki Shiki you stand

We start with the maiden, who's God she's forsaken
Killing yokai without reason like wild game in season
Your lack of compassion is a call for my action
To Hell you shall go without dispute

Then there's the witch, in stolen goods rich
Who lies without remorse with a tongue very course
Your behavior disgusts me, so in good reason I see
To Hell you shall go without dispute

The vampire's maid, who's humanity did fade
You treat your kin cold with those knives you dare hold
To your kind you're a traitor, but I'll tend to that later
Over the Sanzu you shall not cross

The gardening half-ghost serving a gluttonous host
Out of your realm you wander, stirring trouble far yonder
You shall be tried like all rest, this is the end of your quest
To Hell you shall go without dispute

Next is the lunatic whose actions make me sick
Leaving your comrades to perish, only your life was cherished
But that doesn't matter here where you heart is made clear
To Hell you shall go without dispute

Who is this fairy that seems so unwary?
Thinking you're strong, your body won't last long
But my judgement is clouded and your fate seems shrouded
To Heaven or Hell you may go...

One third of a trio whose frustration grows
You've no reason to exist, and your tunes won't assist
Your creator is gone, so upon you it should dawn
You shall soon disappear without a trace

Then there's the night sparrow, with a song as sharp an arrow
You sing so carefree, creating chaos you can't see
You're a risk to all around, and in my judgement I've found
To Hell you shall go without dispute

Ugh, another lunatic rabbit with a nasty little habit
So many people you deceive, your bloody death will relieve
Those you scam and swindle, my patience with you dwindles
To Hell you shall go without dispute

Now the tengu reporter, who's honesty grows shorter
With every story you write, setting more incidents alight
Though it's not your intent, for your sins you'll repent
To Hell you shall go without dispute

The flower yokai of age, it's time to turn the page
Living through all these years while causing great fear
You defy nature's will, I think you've had your fill
To Hell you shall go without dispute

You, the poisonous doll who makes my skin crawl
With venomous aggression and an outcast confession
For those humans you hate have sealed your grim fate
Over the Sanzu you shall not cross

My very own assistant with laziness persistent
Who lollygags and plays despite work for days
Making excuses for faults, this behavior I must halt
Punishment you shall receive without dispute

The court is adjourned and I hope you all have learned
Of what's tainting your soul and recovery from this toll
Judgement day will arrive, so towards good you should strive
For you will stand before Eiki Shiki again...

The plight of the Lunarian

Do not fear the Lunarian, for they offer no threat to the common man.
Do not love the Lunarian, for they will not love you back.
Do not hate the Lunarian, for your hatred will only be met with empty silence.
And Do not admire the Lunarian, for they will use your admiration for their own machinations.

Instead pity the Lunarian.
Pity the Lunarian for their incompetence, for how they managed to build a perfect society on straw.
Pity the Lunarian for their ignorance, and for how they ignore the flaws that permeate their society in order to feign superiority.
Pity the Lunarian for their pride, despite the absolute subversion of their nation by a single man.
And Pity the Lunarian, for they can not accept the idea one of their own is capable of malice.

It might seem absurd to do so.
The Lunarian acts above everyone common law.
The Lunarian acts as if he is a pristine god compared to the impure and filthy mortals of the earth.
The Lunarian acts as if he is above laws and rules, for how can such an elegant being ever be wrong?
And The Lunarian acts as if he is perfect. Perfect in mind, perfect in body, and perfect in soul.

But in realty the Lunarian lives in a temple of lies, waiting for someone to come in and topple it, sending everything to the ground.
He can not fathom the possibility that a Lunarian would manipulate another for power.
He can not conceptualize the thought that a Lunarian would commit adultery for the purpose of humor.
He can not envision the idea that a Lunarian would kill another in petty animosity.
And he can not comprehend the notion that a Lunarian would commit the ultimate sin for their kind as a form of pure malice.

That is why all it will take is one man.
Someone willing to lie an unthinkable lie.
Someone willing to deceive the so-called perfect sages.
Someone willing to steal what no man would think possible to steal.
And someone willing to kill and usurp the laws of the moon.

This has all nearly happened before, but I was rather unfortunately there to stop it.
And what was the response to the death of the ultimate threat to the Lunarians?
Hatred.
For the Lunarian could not believe that one of their own could be at fault for the sins he comitted.

They blamed the spirit for being deceived by the ultimate deceiver.
They blamed the spirit for being betrayed behind her back.
They blamed the spirit for the death of her daughter.
They blamed the spirit for the one thing she was truly guilty of. Killing the threat in an act of fiery revenge.

And thus the spirit was exiled, but in my ruminations, I have purified myself.

My hatred has been purified into temperance.
My rage has been purified into patience.
My malice has been purified into acceptance.

And my fury has been purified into love.

Love for that Lunatic hell fairy, who's fiery passion offered a new view on life.
Love for that many bodied goddess, who presented me with a new opportunity and a second chance.
Love for this new land I find myself in, who's impurity provide beauty rather than take away from the already existing beauty.
and a new, rejuvenated, pure love for life, for all of its impure beauties, and the wonders it brings.

One day the Lunarian society will collapse, I can give you that, but I will not be waiting for that moment.

I have found my new home, in this land called Gensokyo. and I intend to protect it.

So do not admire the Lunarian.
Do not hate the Lunarian.
Do not love the Lunarian.
And do not fear the Lunarain.

Pity him, but offer no help, for he has already constructed his own demise, and he is tempted to see it through at the cost of others.

And instead embrace all of the impure beauties life has to offer, for true joy can be found in those simple, impure qualities that many take for granted.

Saigyouji

The wind blows cold across my face
As I lay my eyes upon yours
There, atop the unsoiled snow
Lie your frigid, ghastly corpse
Bright red blood leeches out your wounds
Turning pure white to pitch black

You were unable to prevent such a fate
To those that you loved unconditionally
Though I know of why it had to be this way
I cannot help but weep at your bitter demise
Small crystals fall from my eyes without end
Like the snowflakes of this eternal storm

I cannot leave you here, dear friend
I will not allow the beasts of the world
To selfishly take away your everlasting beauty,
which lingers on even in your unfortunate death
The only one to do so will be the earth beneath
These cherry blossoms you cherished in life

At last, your home is finally complete
And waiting for your eternal stay
So, with tearful eyes and a heavy heart
I lower your precious remains to the grave
Alongside the stained, cursed blade
With which you drew your final breath

Will you ever be at peace?
I do not know, but I can only hope
As I look towards your final resting place
Underneath the barren cherry blossoms
Their withered, hardened branches
Serving as a reminder to your fleeting life

I do not wish to leave your side
But I've a kit at home which beckons my return
Thus, I venture out into the frigid cold
Leaving you alongside my frozen heart
I can only pray that, in life or death
Our paths will eventually cross once more

Behalf my on curses pray and shout you while
Chaos creating continue will and amanojaku an I'm for
Laughs and jollies and chortles me gives it
Gall your of all with me hate to continue so
Day another trouble make to live can I since
Is it me to, honorable not it's if care don't I
Away run and bait cut always can I
Reason unfortunate some for, work doesn't that if and
Fill their had they've when puking opponents my
Turning and twisting and flopping and flipping of
Skill devious devilishly my on rely I
Appears battle a and enough aren't words when
Miko and, maid, witch a were enemies her that
Inchling little dumb this convinced even I time one
Below I'm which with nothing there's
Steal I and cheat I and swindle I and lie I
Sad be should I when happy feel I
Chaos of creature a, amanojaku an I'm
!Glad me makes that !Good
?Guts my and me hate you that say you

Little Princess

My dear tiny princess, I must ask of thee
What's made you so hot and bold?
You walk on a razor, the edge of cold death
To settle down you refuse to be told

Oh precious little royalty, where will you go?
What sort of adventures await?
Which creatures will meet the end of your needle?
How long do you wish to tempt fate?

Beloved minute maiden, I beg of you please
Do not beckon the reaper so fast
Just one fatal slip is all that it takes
For that great quest to become your last

My sweet fragile love, do you listen to my cries?
Sit down and consider the case
So trade in your needle and reckless ambitions
For my soft, warm, and loving embrace

Miss Letty Whiterock
Always on the clock
All of winter season
Chilling without reason

Letty Whiterock, Yuki-Onna
Freezing Gensokyo's fauna
Playing with Cirno in the snow
As snowflakes continue to flow

Letty Whiterock, What Winter Left Behind
Always on the forefront of my mind
With your lovely curves and pleasant heart
Sending my blood pressure off the chart
