Well, it is quite difficult to get Invitation code without QQ account (it is difficult to register it without Chinese phone number now).
In addition, in response to the DMCA Act (and moral condemnation from other touhou enthusiasts), we plan to stop downloading games currently on sale
It is questionable decision, but okay. And which games are considered "currently on sale"? The ones on Steam, itch.io, Booth, DLSite, MelonBooks and Suruga-Ya? Then quite a lot of games may be considered "on sale". And what status does the games, which are not distributed online but are still sold on Doujin Events, have?
+ it may be difficult to obtain games from these sites in some regions.
Anyway, I've been very tired these past few days.

In order to solve the problem of foreigners' registration, we just opened the discord group. In fact, you only need to read the invitation code in the discord announcement and add a Google email to register,Please join here https://discord.gg/wK6wTB5aE3 .The games on sale generally refer to those that we can still purchase directly on Steam and DLsite. (As for other stores, we can't buy them anyway, because they don't use Alipay. Just deleting the above games can shut up those who have too high moral standards-some bad Taiwanese.) In fact, I think just deleting some popular ones can do,there's no need to delete too much

Several years ago I found a forum that had posts dating back to the release of eosd. It was exclusively in japanese and had a mix of joking/serious drawings all done with the site's built in drawing tool (which was similar to mspaint). Is anyone familiar with what I'm talking about?

That sounds a lot like oekaki forums. Add in the fact it has to date back to EoSD and to be Japanese only, I believe it is Coolier's oekaki boards. Here is a link to their oldest boards.

That aside, there also a modern incarnation of an oekaki fourm called TEv2, a still-active reboot of the forms since 2008. It appears to been related to some Touhou artists on deviantArt and it is pretty neat to see active conversation happen within the art.
 
Okay, I have another specimen for you, ギンガム. Someone sent me a private message on Reddit informing me that this artist deleted a major portion of their Touhou stuff circa late 2023. They were notably known for their hand-drawn series Something's Weird About This Touhou and Something's Weird With This Touhou (linking to TouhouSubs' authorized reprints with English subs). Their various profile/social media pages:

- Pixiv
- X

Unfortunately, outside of these reprints, everything seems to be gone. It looks like they made some other videos later but I doubt we can find them, as Google in 2025 seems to be as helpless as ever (and Bilibili has trouble searching for Niconico video IDs). This is the Nicolog page for their profile in order to give you an idea of what's missing. So if anyone who was a fan of this artist and by any chance have all their video archived please reach out to this thread. As for myself, this only the tiny bit I have from when I used to upscale videos for TouhouSubs.

Artist has their DM open on X, so to anyone who is fluent in Japanese, I recommend you to reach out to them and ask about the deletion/privation (not sure if content is deleted or simply privated), and if they still have all the missing videos (I don't guarantee they'll be willing to distribute them again).

I tried to search for the video from Nicolog on Bilibili and yes, it was not successful. But there may be a Bilibili account which uploaded this video and other videos by ギンガム, and maybe some other videos could be found, but I couldn't find them.

But you can try to get it on some auctions or places like that.

Thanks to PassingStrike on MoTK, I realized I missed quite a number of video entries in my Touhou Kinema Kan Finale BD rip. So I redid the rip using a registered copy of MakeMKV and paying attention into ripping everything that was a video stream (including trailers and things used for menus).
The link hasn't changed and is still this one. All the numbering has been messed up because of my previous attempt so I recommend to redownload everything for those who already downloaded.

Other news, I got contacted on X by someone named FioraAeterna regarding Touhou Clock. Unfortunately due to X being that joke of platform now, you don't get any warning when someone you're not following sends you a DM request so I missed one months worth of them. To anyone reading and who tried to contact me, I am deeply sorry. So what this FioraAeterna did is something rather extraordinary as they set up a functional archive of Touhou Clock. It's located here. I'm granting myself the right to post about it here as I'm not sure of that person will reply back or even follow my recommendation to come to this thread. Keep in mind it requires Flash (I haven't tested with Ruffle) to function properly so I recommend to load the site on an older (preferably portable version of) Firefox with a working Adobe Flash Player installed beforehand (was it Adobe Flash Player 32 NPAPI? I can't remember how I installed it).

Again, to Fiora, if you're reading this, I'd like to take the opportunity to express my sincere thanks and am sorry for having missed your DM.

Thank you again Dioxaz!!! I finally saw your reply, so I figured I'd come here and make a proper post for my little Touhou Clock revival.

So, the other daymonth, I used Dioxaz's archived data to make a functioning revival of the original Touhou Clock. This basically involved hacking the actionscript and a few other things in order to dummy out various parts that weren't functioning, like the server-side time hook, as well as some changes to the XML and eliminating absolute links. Also, since I'm missing a lot of the animations, I stripped out the code that displayed only the animations relevant to the current "location", to avoid repetitive animation playback. It has all the music, though.

Full Version (~80 animations)
Ruffle Compatibility version (~50 animations)

Source / Website Data (all my changes I made to it are documented in the git version history)

Caveats:

1. The full version requires a working flash player, e.g. Waterfox Classic + archive.org's "adobe flash player 32.0.0.371". The ruffle version has all the MP4 files stripped out because of a bug in ruffle's video playback. Real Flash Player will also use vastly less CPU power than Ruffle, which nearly overheats my laptop...
2. Even the "full version" is missing about 80% of the animations; the original had about 370 of them. This is a bit unfortunate, but I haven't been able to find them anywhere else. archive.org doesn't have them, for example. If you happen to have ones beyond what's there, please, please tell me. I want to know. Maybe we could even ask the original staff if they have them somewhere...

In theory it might be possible to restore the old animations by clipping them manually out of the "Touhou Clock" nico videos, sorting them, and then inserting them back into the flash. That's more work than I personally want to do though. Also wouldn't work in Ruffle, since it'd make them all into MP4 files...

Feel free to download, copy, or do whatever you want with it. I put it on my github for now since its an easy free webhost with change-tracking that I've been using for archival projects (this and my little Ar Portal revival project).

Cheers to a new update to the Which Came First, Hakurei Kannushi's Games or Beer? (博麗神主のゲームが先かお酒が先か?) archive due to some new discoveries.

First, I made an accidental discovery that the Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese scanlations for Forbidden Scrollery contained full columns that are not found in the English scanlation. This adds columns 44, 45, 49, and 92. I also checked a couple of chapters on the other language scanlations listed on Mangadex, but they either sourced their scans from the English scanlation or from the Tankōbon volumes. I didn't check every chapter of those scanlations, but it is likely they won't contain additional columns that were not in the English scanlation based on their scan sources.

On to the next point, those newly found columns led to new results on old 2ch threads and a Forbidden Scrollery Tumblr blog via reverse image search. This adds columns 46, 54, and a bunch of illustrations.

About those illustrations, I have decided this archive will store any illustrations I find for columns still missing from the archive. This is because I was finding more and more illustrations that were not featured in the scanlations of Forbidden Scrollery and Visionary Fairies. At this point it would be better to have the illustration as to have some firsthand source for a column, so I have decided to add in all the illustrations from both the scanlations and sources outside the scanlations to the archive. Yet, this still left gaps in the archive as the scanlations sometimes skipped including the column illustration for some chapters, seemly at random. Plus, using the scanlations of the Touhou printworks meant that columns from Comp Ace magazines without a Touhou printwork were skipped over. Regardless, these illustrations mostly filled out the years of 2013-2018 for the archive.

Also, the decision to include illustrations meant the archive could include illustrations by ほた, who was the original illustrator for Which Came First, Hakurei Kannushi's Games or Beer? before being replaced by Mizutaki. This adds illustrations for columns 1, 2, and 3.

With all of these additions to the archive, here is a status report of the archive to summarize of what the acrhive lacks at the moment.

Columns represented only by their Illustration:
  • 2010: 1-3
  • 2013: 47
  • 2014: 51, 52, 53, 55, 56
  • 2015: 62, 63, 64, 66, 69, 71
  • 2016: 72, 73, 74, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83

As stated before, some of those gaps are from Comp Ace magazines that didn’t have a Touhou printwork, so those columns were more unlikely to be shared online. As what can be done about this, this is the moment where secondhand shopping for this magazines likely has to be done in order in the gaps. Although, that is a pricey expense to import a bunch of magazine from Japan.

To conclude, out of the 185 columns and 3 Comp Ace report manga out there as of June 12th 2025, this archive has 87 columns, 40 illustrations, and 1 Comp Ace report manga. This means the archive has around 46% of the columns and 68% with illustrations inluded out of all of the columns of Which Came First, Hakurei Kannushi's Games or Beer?.

Feel free to check out the archive on Internet Archive to read about old experiences of ZUN and a bunch of illustrations of the Touhou Project drinking alcohol in a variety of locations. It make for a nice reading pair to go along side the Touhou printworks.
