Mission: Route out New Classic's Lunatic, and cheer up Nitorium?

A idea my sleep deprived brain come up with.

I initially had no interest in the contest as it's way above my skill level and I have no idea how to use a recording software, but it'd be sad to see it cancelled just like that. Now, rather then learning how to make videos in a few days, I would prefer to put that time in to figuring out how to beat the hardest difficulty with the deadline right around the corner...

I'm wondering if anyone else wants to join me on the quest to beat lunatic before the deadline? Score doesn't matter if no one can clear the game.

As for how this can be made possible? Well, here are some things that might be worth investigating:
- In other games, some spellcards have blind spots...
- TASs probably exist at this point but usually pull off tricks not viable for humans, usually.
- All those replays by skilled players, though most of them are bound to aim for a high score rather then being optimized for survival.
- Hitboxes? Since the game had to be remade from scratch, hitbox sizes must have changed, possibly giving way to 'dodges' not possible in the original.

Items:
Stage 2: Extra bomb after beating Daiyousei
W.I.P.

(The Medelin project is partially on hold till the end of the contest.)

Oh, it seems a new submission appeared in the meantime. Seems contest won't be getting cancelled then.
I guess now it's for fun! And Nitorium will be happy with more submissions, I'm sure.

I though of doing the same, it'd be sad to see the worst case scenario which is Moriya Shrine being abandoned
For sure i wont be able to finish the game, i barely make it on normal, heck, sometimes i get a bad ending on normal (even with additional lives), let alone try on lunatic with default lives, someday today maybe i will just post failed attempt just for the sake of contest having more entries, for the sake of Nitorium

Nvm the contest requires to clear/finish the game, otherwise it might be disqualified anyway and it took so many attemps to go past rumia without getting hit, i aint making it until the deadline wheter i want it or not, sorry but it's beyond my capabilities

You could still help with coming up with strategies if you feel like it, but I get it. There is no way I'm officially joining the contest either with ~45 deaths in challenge mode, but I'll save some face by saying I wasn't taking it too seriously. I just want to unlock all shoot types for practice so others don't have to.

^ Speaking of that. This should make strategizing easier. Beating the game in challenge more unlocks all the stages for practice in standard mode too. Here are the shots with practice mode already unlocked:

Reimu with the Spirit Amulet: Passive damage when one isn't directly under the boss in the form of the homing shots (Homing Amulet), long invincibility frames during the bomb (Dream Seal). Great for starting off... and the people who just want to work on strategies, I think.

Marisa with Magic Amulet: Her shot (Magic Missile) requires being right under the boss, especially with low power, but it damages the boss quickly. High power adds a little bit of spread at the top. Her bomb (Stardust Reverie)... is a bomb. Since she requires a lot of skill, she's better for the people actually attempting the challenge runs.

Marisa with Love Amulet: The better Marisa. Her bomb (Master Spark) deals a lot of damage and has long invincibility frames. I'll write those descriptions better after a break... only one more shot type left.

If someone wants to join here, inform me first so we don't play the same shoot type. Copy your score.dat to a safe place and put this one in to your game folder instead.
