Killing Ridley in Super Metroid in Space Colony?

[YumeChud97]

I was wondering wheter it's possible to kill Ridley at Space Colony in Super Metroid, but i don't wanna spend my time trying considering im terrible at dodging in this game.
Does anyone know wheter it's possible to kill Ridley during the first encounter or is he immortal there?
