Do you guys prefer ZUN's old artwork or modern designs of characters.

Here, I have collected samples of basically every key era of art style from ZUN. I personally find them all charming in some way. You can see the I guess, simplification of his art? I'm no crazy god artist, but I mean how everything got less shiny? Not in a bad way though.

(Also is my new banner and signature tuff?)

(I know Remilia debunked this blatant lie about her being afraid of them, but still)

Well, Touhou's world doesn't have an overall "Biblical" basis within it's history, so I'm not sure it'd count regardless.
Also, I think the fact she's not repelled by crosses should prove even more than she's not a true "demon" in any case.

Many vampires dont fear crosses, for example Dio Brando who is a vampire, even went inside Church which is filled with Crosses, to hide from sun and talk with Pucci (JJBA Part 6: Stone Ocean)
 
mmm.... i guess between the 2 i would choose the newer artstyle because i like how well structured the bodies are than before, and i feel like they are more bright and colorful. however, my favorite era of zun art is more in between (MoF-UFO). thats where the real sweet spot is. they look so cute!

Well, I certainly do agree with Touhou 10's charm in it's art. I love the portrait of Hina after all. Still, I think I just have a big soft spot for PCB. I think it's gradually becoming more and more my "favorite" Touhou game, though I don't think any Touhou game could be my absolute "favorite" either way.

Neither are vampires? That's a contemporary convention, traditional vampires are pretty indifferent to sunlight. Even in the earliest of folk tales they aren't weak to sunlight, they're just akin to wraiths or zombie-like creatures who get up from their graves at night and attack unsuspecting victims, later returning by dawn to their graves.

Not sure where the garlic thing came from honestly.

Vampires in Touhou are a kind of demon in the eastern sense that oni or yokai are demon. Though I see that this is a cheeky joke, it also feels like some sort of false equivalence, since Jojo's vampires are different from Touhou's in quite a few ways.
