I definitely can get behind that view then. For example, I always saw people talking about how they cried after they watched Osana Reimu, but I didn't pay much attention to it until one day I saw a person mention that Osana Reimu had great storytelling, and so, as I didn't have much else to do, I decided to watch it and saw that it genuinely did have great storytelling, so I would probably see that greatness as well if I watched KKHTA. The only thing is that I'm not exactly sure either as KKHTA's ending would probably just ruin it for me. Well, regardless I do plan on watching it someday in any case.

Original KKHTA obviously was edgy for the edgy, and wholesome moments are just part of that style like "heyyy this characterino so cute, let's almost kill her by rain". It stopped being like that at some pretty early point when the author decided to turn it into a serious media for some goddamn reason

Well, since in Touhou's world, "demons" aren't as typically "demonic" as they should be otherwise, then it's probably more that she just doesn't see youkai (or at least vampires) as being actually "demonic".

'sana Reimu mentioned. I don't find its storytelling some absolute cinema, but it is indeed charming and interesting, and the visuals are really appealing yeah.

i dont wanna give out spoilers but i also dont know how to describe it without giving too much hint on how KKHTA ends.
KKHTA's ending may not excplicitly ruin it but it is quite sad ending, atleast for me.

Of course, I'll just go out on a limb and state that I believe in demons as genuine existences (mainly because of my observations of history and different societies), so because of that, I don't really consider Touhou's "demons" (which youkai are traditionally considered to be) as well, actual demons.

AFAIK Remilia as a vampire is a kind of oni (it's in the name, 鬼 in 吸血鬼 is oni) and therefore just another youkai (pretty bad tho, even BEANS hurt her) for Gensokyoans. But we can only imagine how was she perceived in Europe, and I guess not that great

I agree on that, but i think it was quite early when the seriousness started, excatly right before Yukari appeared

Yeah. I personally largely consider true demons as something which is completely abhorrent and evil (doesn't even have to be a supernatural being), but as Remilia is shown to be not completely evil (or really, not exactly "evil" much at all), so I don't consider her to be actually "demonic".
Though of course, my views on actual demons are varied, but regardless, the point is that I don't consider Touhou's youkai as actual "demons".
