Could Reimu defeat Goku?

Do you think Reimu could beat Goku in a fight? Why is that excatly your answer?
I honestly don't know who would win, nor can i theorize, especially since i didn't even watch dragon ball.

I’d say Goku probably wins in a straight-up fight, mainly because the difference in raw strength, speed, durability, and combat experience is huge. Reimu does have some unusual abilities that could make the matchup interesting, especially her ability to float and use barriers, but it’s hard to see her keeping up with Goku physically. That said, cross-series fights get messy when you start comparing how each universe’s abilities work, so there’s definitely room for debate.

Simple, Let's imagine a Touhou game like titled "Number One Under and Above Heavens" where Goku is the final or secret boss. Even if he uses the strongest version of Ultra Instinct where he materializes a giant plasma version of himself, and that is his strongest form, Reimu will still win, as she always win against the strongest opponents in the games lol.

Of course I'm just trying to be somehow creative, because my standard answer for any crossover battles is like what erlking said, wins who the battle's writer wants to win or who is the favorite character (and that will constantly count for non-crossover battles as well). Trying to be "realistic in-universe" Goku's speed and strength could be way too much for Reimu to handle, but hey every new antagonist Goku faces is physically stronger and faster than him, also superior to his latest transformation unless he trained, so try imagining one of these new antagonists being Reimu, she could be equivalent to Gas or Gomah (the latest two villains Goku faced)
Countless possibilities, the easiest to do imo is applying the rules of one universe only, instead of keeping the other character completely intact, so Goku in the context of the Touhou universe and its rules would lose to Reimu I think, as she being one who solves incidents, she always faces anomalies and figures out ways to deal with them, so she would eventually find her way to deal with Goku's UI. There's a lot of gamification in this too of course after all it's comparing a character from a comic series where the stories has its rules that can lead to the protagonist losing, with a character from a videogame series who basically will always win because the one who's controlling the protagonist is the player and as the player you have to win. Because of this maybe the best comparison would be between Reimu and The Goku from most of the old Z movies where he magically has or finds the power to defeat the villains because those movies follow the rule of him always being the winner XD

Also there are a few cases in the series where opponents weaker than Goku were able to give him trouble because they had unique abilities. I don't know much about Reimu's powers but she could very well be one of these cases if physical strength wasn't the solution for this, though Goku also learned a lot of extra physical abilities as the series progressed, but Reimu's could be more advanced as such.

Fuck, you beat me to it. I'll never understand why sperging out over how 'character from X franchise would beat other character from Y franchise' is such a popular pastime for chronically online 14 Y/Os. The entire thing's just a retarded slap fight between fandoms to justify one thinking they're better than the other (spoiler warning: they're both equally shit).

Way more interesting to ask how would X and Y interact rather than which retard can nerd over their favorite character the hardest and sound obnoxious about it.

The main idea is to sell products, like, my bet it's a mix of what originated in both the west and Japan. Power scaling helped as a basis for japanese companies to create and sell products, these mainly being the card games, which also got very popular in the west. It's a gamification involving the characters made to sell cards, and western fans tried applying the same thing to western series, despite those not really working the same way, as they used to be a basis to sell toys, toys which weren't made based on power scaling but gimmicks.

However, stories like the DC vs Marvel crossover comics were a thing at the time as well, with time also movies like Jason vs Freddy Krueger, Alien vs Predator happening.
Even King Kong vs Godzilla, which is a crossover between two giant monsters from America and Japan. The main idea behind these also being one successful franchise helping in the popularization of the other so the companies get even more money from that.

I have nothing better to do, so just think about how dumb it is to powerscale touhou:
The characters are ambiguous enough so that their abilities can be used without any basis or caviat, for example take Sakuya; What the fuck does "manipulating time" means in this context? Can she simply manipulate her own flow of time to where she can stop and travel through it? Does the manipulation span the whole reality or not? Things like these are not explained and thus makes it stupidly dumb to scale from it. Reimu can just float her problems away but what's her limit? Who fuckin knows? Yukari can manipulate boundaries with no known limit so does that mean she's outermultisuperduperversial and can beat everyone ever created in the history of fiction?
To me, it sounds like the worst dick measuring contest there is, what are you even comparing anyways?

Also the spell card system should mess this whole dick measuring contest, No? Isn't their express purpose so that weak characters like the fairies can stand a chance against the stronger ones?
As always, I'm not a loremaster for Touhou, I didn't read the entire Touhou Wiki like most of the "2hu loremaster i know everything!!!" peeps have.

I think I could realistically see Reimu win against Goku only if they're playing on both Spell Card rulings, it was always made to even out even the strongest characters with hacks to be on even terms

If this was a physical fight without limits, Goku would win easily even if Reimu does have more techniques at her disposal (I mean Goku as well but I digress)

If I'm not mistaken, the Spell Card rules were made after the events of MS, and against an opponent like Shinki, I can honestly see them being even within those rulings

(Edit: Honestly now that I think about it, Goku would totally be down fighting against Reimu evenly than going all out, he always likes to test his opponents but also having fun himself, the spell card rules would be perfect fof him given he'd agree)
