Comfort Characters?

Do you guys have any Touhou characters (or fictional characters generally) that you would consider comfort characters? In terms of Touhou (which I just started getting back into), mine are Patchouli Knowledge (because we're both hermits who spend our days reading/studying all the time), Alice Margatroid (because she's English themed and as a Anglo-Japanese guy I love English-themed characters in anime/games). My headcanon is that both of these characters are autistic. I also really like Sakuya Izayoi due to her introducing me to Touhou. Outside of Touhou I love Lain from Serial Experiments Lain and Saber from the Fate Series. I really like learning about people's comfort characters so I would be interested in seeing what characters people like.

Hmm. I'd have to think more about who I'd consider "comfort characters" for myself, though I suppose in regards to Touhou, some of the closer ones to that would be the fairies (more with the fairies as a species) and maybe with one of the characters being Hina. Still, really any of the non-human Touhou characters I consider to be more "comforting", as for some reason, I've always had a feeling of comfort in regards to non-human characters. Could be because of me being extremely close with our cats, especially when I was young.

Though it's only in regards to non-human characters who are not overtly evil (which is why love Touhou's cast).

Is that a manga or anime? I think maybe I've heard of it/seen it before, though I'd have to look into it to remember.

Both. I haven't read it so I can't comment on it's quality but if you like cute/light hearted anime about cats and history then I'd probably recommend it. I love Japanese history so it seems like a win.

Ah! Now I remember that one! I liked that one, though I somehow forgot about it (could be because it can be somewhat hard to find). Still, it's probably on the anime pirate website I frequent. I know I watched it on there before at least.
 
Japanese history (especially with the Sengoku period) is why I'm interested in Japan in the first place, and in many ways is what caused me to become more interested in history as whole. After a period of time, I started getting interested in the history of Germany (one of the reasons for Germany in particular being because of my interest in the World Wars and with my last name being German, along with me loving the German language) and partly of Russia, which eventually spread out to then encompass basically all of history. Though I have been interested in history since I was young (particularly because of my parents bringing me and my sister to various historical places), but it just largely started to become a more prominent interest because of Japanese history. Anyway, sorry for going way off-topic. lol

It's cool IDM. I love all kinds of history, especially ancient/medieval history, I study Medieval England, Scotland, Wales, France and Germany, the Viking Invasions, Feudal Japan, New Kingdom + Ptolemaic Egypt, Mesopotamia, the Neo-Assyrian Empire, Julius Caesar + Pax Romana, Classical-Hellenistic Greece, Napoleonic Wars and Three Kingdoms. My absolute favourite is Medieval England.
 
dont know what you mean by comfort characters, ifu mean like being around, just because someone is made of one way doesnt mean will get along well with people that is similar in personality, we all as humans like diversity and experiences whether exploring ideas or places doesnt matter we need stimuli, if a person can give you that pushes will be enough to get in your circle, opposites attract themselves you know and this not only for electrons and protons...

being said that i think i would choose remilia cause gives me the vibe of aristocrat that would torture peasants for the sake of whatsoever comes to her mind hehe whats wrong with me ._.

It just means a character you really like the vibes of + makes you feel really happy ig.

I've mainly been interested in modern history (Japan being an exception), though I have more recently started to become more interested in older and ancient history.

History has so many interesting events that I feel depressed I'll never be able to witness first-hand... -_-

Oh. Also, since you're interested in Welsh history, there's an amazing Welsh YouTube channel by the name of Cambrian Chronicles which has really interesting stuff about obscure Welsh places, legends and people.

would love to have awitnessed the battle of minastirith, the charges of the rohirrim, gondor almost collapsing and the the middle east elephants, sure it has been a battle that historians would frame it as one of the most important events of human history in the universities
