  • I absolutely love this arrangement. I've long held a deep-seated nostalgia for the acoustic guitar (and so too with the cello, violin, and viola), and despite pretty much the entire album this is from being good, this one in particular is my favorite. It just makes me so nostalgic in one way or another...
I've just always largely held a deep preference for melancholic songs.
Just going to say that I had a dream where I guess that some scammer(s) was calling me on my new phone (as my parents finally got me a phone a couple weeks ago) and impersonating different characters. One of them was a villainess Disney character (I don't remember her name, or even if she was an actual Disney character).
The other was what I think was a scammer who was impersonating Utsuho (even saying Unyu when first calling me and throughout the conversation). I then bribed her with food or something to get her to stop calling me. lol
Well, that part was part of a wider dream, but as I can only remember some scenes from the dream(s), I couldn't really talk about them. Still, as my dreams often are, they were pretty interesting, despite them being weird.

This is another non-Touhou piece of music, (though this channel does have a lot of Touhou music arranges, even with their own channel name having the kanji for Touhou) but this is just so good!
Maybe even among my favorite trance musics I've found so far.
Alright, so this is the one I was just talking about. As I already said, this is a Bilibili reupload of the original video, as the original was taken down by Sully Orchestra for copyright. This video really was (as far as know of at least) one of the main reasons for me getting into Touhou. Back then, I knew NOTHING about the characters nor anything, I didn't even know Marisa nor probably Reimu either, but for some reason, this video and music entranced me. It's already distinctly possible that I discovered this video before even the Alstroemeria Records version, though unlikely considering I feel like I remember me discovering Alstroemeria's version back in at least 2023.

This song (and video) is among the main ones which introduced and got me into Touhou. As I've stated before, it is the Touhou musical arrangements which got me interested in Touhou in the first place. Well, music is also how I've found most series.
But, the main Touhou doujin circles which introduced Touhou to me were Alstroemeria Records (through Bad Apple), Akatsuki Records (mainly through this song) and Halozy. Another one who basically got me into Touhou was Sully Orchestra, though I'd have to send the Bilibili link to the reupload of the specific video.

This music is something of many memories and feelings for me. I remember originally coming across it around 2 years or so after it came out and I became absolutely entranced by it. I must be one of the few people who even still remembers this video and music. It has such a beautiful feeling of melancholy and sadness to it. Though that also makes it remind me of sadder events in my life.
Hey SateriCat17, which Touhou character are you the most like?

That is something I'm still not exactly sure of. But I suppose in regards to the "unpredictability" of my personality at the least, I guess I'd be like Yukari.

This theme is in fact fan-made. Very good-sounding one too! The creator certainly gave it the feeling and sound of it being one of ZUN's unused themes.
Anyway, to go on a quick side tangent here, one of the comments in the video mentioned "Song that plays when you play as the scrapped character", and it got me thinking of a sort of "meta-narrative" Touhou work in which the game has some strange supernatural influence over it which allows you to play a stage with an "unused" theme and as a character which shouldn't exist in the game, and eventually it begins to influence reality itself... Would make for a great creepypasta-esque horror story at the very least. Well, there are a lot of supernatural "meta-narrative" concepts I could probably come up with in regards to Touhou.

Sort of going back to thinking on this concept again, and I think the idea of the "meta-narrative" would be that Rin Satsuki (the cut playable character of EoSD) would somehow supernaturally gain sentience within the game itself and with her manipulating the game's internal and external code into allowing her to be playable so that she can leave the game and come into reality.
I just love these sorts of horror/supernatural concepts.
I sometimes wish they could actually play out on reality.

My gosh, this is so beautiful... Reminds me of space, which is very fitting (considering the themes it is based on), and it also reminds me of the ocean as well. I believe I will forever derive the concepts of absolute wonder and beauty upon space and the ocean. Stuff like that just makes me keep going forward in life. Every time I feel despair or sadness, I can look up to the stars or down to the ocean depths to always feel hope.

One of my absolute favorite Akatsuki Records songs! Akatsuki Records is a group which both makes my least favorite and favorite types of songs.

This album is overall probably my favorite Alstroemeria Records album and maybe even among my favorite Touhou music arrangement albums of all time. It's just unfortunate that this album doesn't seem to be on Spotify, as I was hoping to possibly play this album in the car for my family at some point.

This song makes me love GET IN THE RING even more! Heard it near the end of a video completely unrelated to Touhou, so because of me loving the sound of the song, I decided to look in the video's description for the song's name, but imagine my absolute shock and surprise at seeing the words "GET IN THE RING" right before my eyes!
Anyway, this song really reminds me of some type of supernatural action anime set in modern Japan (that Seija artwork only reinforces that image). Definitely an amazing find for sure! I should really listen to some more of GET IN THE RING's music. They make some pretty great stuff. Though the same could be said for most Touhou doujin musical groups. They are how I found out about Touhou in the first place for a reason.

Found this from a YouTube recommendation. Clicked on it because I like that artstyle for Momiji. Though this music is pretty good. Reminds me of Alan Parsons Project.
Just wanting to link this tread both for myself (so I can remember the contents of it) and for others to see as well.

This video is so cute and wholesome! Never can go wrong with Kokoro though. Just why is she so dang cute!?

One of the best songs which displays why German is one of my favorite languages and why I love German Touhou! :3
Reminds me of the German Empire and Austria-Hungary for some reason. Could be because of this song sounding somewhat "militaristic" to me. Would make a pretty great marching theme at the very least.

(Another song.) This is probably one of my favorite Touhou arrangements. Reminds me of rain for some reason (one of the reasons I like it so much), which is ironic considering the song's title translates to "Portrait in Sand".

Still keep coming back to this song. It just feels so dream-like.
I mentioned before about how it reminds me of rain, but it also reminds me of other stuff too.
It reminds me of a deep magical forest (probably someplace similar to the Forest of Magic) and there is also something deeper to it which I could not put into words.
