BrokenSubconscious
Eirin's 2nd Favorite Student
Shards of a pale, broken moon fall into my glass tonight
They reflect the faces of those from my past lives
Those beloved old friends whom have wandered far beyond my sight
I drink, and for a second, I feel as though they stand beside me tonight
A human and an oni, side by side, or universes apart, stare into the same moon, spread across separate skies
The stars collect into themselves, lending into my soul, feeding into my ever growing might
I pour the rest out onto the mountain's summit, and watch the shimmering liquid flow down tonight
The pieces of broken moon collect and gather in the starlight, shooting up they pierce the sky like a thousand tiny knives
I arch my back to see the bright light of a full moon reflecting in my weary eyes, and I smile wide in the moon's beautiful light
I decided to write a poem about Suika Ibuki. Back when touhou was just a small thing for me, broken moon was always my favorite song. I would play it all the time while talking to friends. Overtime, those friends began to drift away, but listening to broken moon always brings me back to those times.
