In PMISS, it is said that spirited away people get eaten, yet in ULiL, it is said that they are non-corporeal and that spiriting away is temporary, so which is true?
I believe it was mentioned somewhere that only the suicidal and forgotten are spirited away to a specific part of Gensokyo to satisfy certain youkai (Think Remilia and Rumia) while normal, ordinary people are often spirited away to the Hakurei Shrine, where they are often led back to where they came from. I can't remember the exact source off the top of my head, but that should answer your question.

Thank you for your answer, but this is what i already knew. Additional info is that ULiL describes two ways of travelling through the Barrier. True, complete passage can be achieved by punching a hole in the barrier and walking through. However, beings may also enter or leave Gensokyo by being "spirited away", a method which is often only temporary and allows only certain items to be brought inside or outside Gensokyo. Some of these spirited away travellers have little physical presence (sometimes to the point of appearing only as a shadow) and will eventually be pulled back home, remembering their trip as if it were only a dream. In fact at least some of these trips have taken the form of literal dreams, with the traveller's mind.
This makes me also wonder Maribel's form of early traveling to gensokyo in CoSD is this but amplified, as usually temporary spiriting away is non coporeal, yet maribel seems to have full form and still be able to go back.
