what's ur favorite ZUN's music collection track?

Buwako

True God of the Boriya Shrine
since the new hifuu club album was released, this got me wondering this question. there are many great cd tracks but unfortunately are very underrated. show some love for your favorites by acknowledging them in this thread!

Dolls in Psuedo Paradise. Almost no question for me.

i meant more what track specifically but yeah dolls in pseudo paradise gives a really nostalgic yet unsettling vibe which fits the older story
Ah. In that case, it'd probably be Strange Oriental Discourse from DiPP. That said, I haven't listened to all of the tracks in ZUN's albums yet, so there could be something I might find in one them which I'd like better.
Regardless, DiPP would most likely still remain my favorite of the albums largely for the reasons you said.

Girls' Secret Sealing Club takes my vote as the best original track off any of the ZUN music collections. Hell, pretty much all of Ghostly Field Club is peak ZUN: Great original tracks in Merry the Magician, Fairy of Flower, and Magical Girl's Crusade, the remix of Eastern Ghostly Dream that would straight up be reused as PoFV Youmu's theme, and a fantastic remix of Necrofantasy which remains a personal favorite.

Music collections 6-10 weren't as good as the first five in my opinion, with the exception of Dr. Latency's Freak Report being a fun listen. The album ending with remixes of Sea that Reflects One's Home Planet and Pure Furies is a highlight for sure.

A couple others I forgot to mention as individual music from the albums I enjoy a lot are, Greenwich in the Sky and Trojan Green Asteroid. Another one I love the melody of (but not as much with the instrumentation) is Schrodinger's Bakeneko.
There are probably others I'm forgetting that I like the sound of, but those are generally the ones I like the best.
But, DiPP still wins overall as I like nearly every track in the album.
Regardless, ZUN's music is something special really as a whole.

As expected, there was yet another one I had forgotten, with that being Kid's Festival.
That one has such a beautiful sound to it and the fact it serves as "ZUN's theme" is perfect.
