What operating system do you use?

I use gentoo linux because it has more customization options than any other OS i can think of, it makes it really convenient to modify the source code of any of the programs you're running on your computer, and it's way more stable (at least in me and my friends' experience) than arch while still having the benefits of being a rolling-release distribution. The only downside to it is that it takes a long time to install things because it compiles them from source.

And I just use vanilla wine to play touhou games because I don't really trust valve and their steam spyware platform and I didn't want to compile 100 ruby and python dependencies in order to install lutris when I can just spend some time to manage my wine settings myself.
 
If i want to play Touhou games and the like i use Windows XP. It's a good OS honestly, even though it's 20+ years old, perfect for me since i'm interested in vintage software from the 2000s in general. Before anybody asks, no i don't use a VM, i use an actual Windows XP PC from the late 00s. It's a nice machine, the only downside is that it has a celeron but it's a good CPU for playing low-demand games like Touhou

I would say my desktop currently dual boots Win11 (for mainly games that inaccessible) and Arch Linux. For my thinkpad, I primarily use Debian. Its been a pain surprisingly but I've been working on it.
 
Currently on a heavily debloated version of Windows 11, I personally hate it and am planning on duel booting with Ubuntu Linux for a while before fully switching over
 
i named it Winbuntu ~ The Girls That Still Pray, with the "The Girls The Still Pray" part being added after wine failed to load SA and was stuck on the "Girls are Praying... Now loading..." screen
 
Windows 10. I hope I can jump to Linux Mint (Debian Edition); but first I must worry about putting my files on external hard drives. Once this issue is gone, hopefully I make the jump.
 
i have been on and off CachyOS Linux for 4+ years now, but I am currently using Windows 11 after finding out about some Windows DWM patches that solved my main issues with the usability of Windows 11. I had to debloat the system because man, there are so many useless features in Windows 11 now compared to 10 and the older ones.
 
i use cachyos. idk if this means i can say i use arch btw or not but i like cachy. its been much kinder to me than arch and manjaro were and its got the customizability and other convieniences that come with arch that arent there on other linux distros like ubuntu and mint. Plus cachy has hyprland as a default option for your DE GUI and i love hyprland so thats great! Its also really lightweight and fast it uses 1.2 to 1.9gb of ram on boot wheras windows would us 5-6, my cpu has less load put on it 30gb of my space arent taken up on install etc. Anyway im gonna stop glazing linux

I'm using WIN 10 currently due to most CAD and FEA softwares not being compatible with linux, but I used to have arch as a main OS.

Do you get a gibberish error? If so, try finding a way to emulate Japanese locale with crossover or Wine. If you can't do it from crossover, maybe you could use this guide, but I'm not sure if it works though.

OpenBSD and Artix GNU/Linux tbh.
Debian 13 for laptop (because it's for college and I don't want it to break)
NetBSD for VPS.

Why? Autism.
