What is y'all's fav 2hu game?

Honestly, I was going to write an essay to describe which game is my favorite. But I don’t wanna bore the readers with my rambling that everybody’s already read over ten years ago, so I’ll get to the point.

Imperishable Night.

Subterranean Animism.

Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom. 

All three appeal to me the most because the gameplay, soundtrack, and storytelling are equally superb, in my opinion. Course, I’ll admit the sprites for IN made me laugh more than they should. Especially Sakuya’s derpy eyes... Sorry ZUN.

Do Fangames count, too? If so, then Disappearing of Gensokyo ranks high, in my book.

Out of the Touhou games I've played (everything up to 11 so far (not counting some spin-offs), currently playing through 12), my favourite is definitely Imperishable Night. I too could write an essay about why I think this game is one of the best in the series (in my opinion), but that's something for another time. Admittedly, the fact that IN is also the only Touhou game that I've beaten the extra in so far probably contributes more than a little to my liking of this game and its characters.

The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil also deserves an honourable mention for being the game that got me so captivated with the franchise to begin with, plus it has a top tier soundtrack.

 
well most of the time im either playing TD or SA

but my favorites are MoF, EoSD, HSiFS, LOLK, SA, and UFO

 
Scmup: Maybe PCB (Musics and story is cool), SA (Koishi is cute, Utsuho is dumb), LoLK (Uh oh, angry mommy), DDC (Seija is realatable bruh)

Fight: AoCF (Cuz hardbass ans trains), IaMP (Liked it how youkai and hooman could drink in harmony at the feast), ULiL (Cuz urban legends)

my favorite is easely LoLK, because if you are completely stupid, (like me) you can make this game impossible by deciding not to bomb.

I like EoSD and my favorite non canon game is Burst Battle V. I play Marisa most of the time for her really good triangle attack.

 
i would say my #1 favorite touhou is probably imperishable night.

its one of those games where you need to play it to realize how good it really is. like sure, you can enjoy watching gameplays listening to music and such, but its a wayy better experience if you play it yourself.
 
EOSD is the only official Touhou game I've played to completion. My favorite fangame, however, is a toss up between Fantasy Maiden Wars, Scarlet Curiosity, and Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle.
 
haven't played much but so far 2hu 7 and 8 are sooo cool looking people underestimate how much the game looking and feeling cool adds

A game simply *feeling* good to play can add so much to an experience, and can even prop up an otherwise-bad game (not implying 7 & 8 are bad, I haven't played them).
 
Official Touhou I'd say Touhou 12 based off recent vibes and how I got a lunatic 1cc on it recently. If we are talking unofficial bullet hell touhou games then Phantasmagoria Trues is a top 1 for me overall.
 
I will praise PCB until the day I die. It's the best overall Touhou experience for me.

Unofficial, I enjoyed playing Hero of Ice Fairy. Cirno is easy to make jokes about but I enjoy when she gets taken seriously...not like she's taken much more seriously in-game or anything, but she puts a lot of work in and it's fun to play (great music too).

There is just something incredibly immersive and epic about touhou 8
 
I like 9, 10, 12 and 15 a lot and 10.5 for the story instead of soku
 
Subterranean Animism is a tough SOB, but it's got this weird charm to it that leads me to say it's the best of what I've played so far. The gimmick isn't overly intrusive, the cast of characters is one of the series' best, and the soundtrack easily tops any other game. Perfect Cherry Blossom makes for a close second given it's got my favorite characters and is plain fun to replay since it's on the easier side.
 
I quite enjoyed playing Great Fairy wars. Bosses are great, music is great, stages are pretty well crafted as the amount or bullets make so you need to actually play the game (that an achievement for touhou lol) and its fun to route! The gimmick of Cirno's freeze is really cool too. My favorite touhou game by far, i still need to work on that Lunatic 1cc but i always get distracted by other games... i really want that Ketsui DX running just for the shit and giggles, lol.
