Someone has to die in the next Touhou plot, who dies?

A friend and I were talking and they were annoyed that Touhou had little stakes. Then they said any character death, even a random side character dying, would make it better. I don't really agree, but it's funny to think a plot has to happen because some random character died. So, if someone just had to die in the next incident, who would you pick?
(I'd pick Mike because they're my favorite irrelevant youkai to bully "OH NO THEY KILLED MIKE WE HAVE TO STOP THEM" it's just fuckin Mike I'm sorry Mike fans)
 
If you want real tragedy, kill a main protagonist. Marisa's death would definitely make Reimu change character motivation, perhaps she'd become more serious when it comes to incidents.

Though I prefer 2hu to be more funny than serious, so I wouldn't kill anyone. I think the real problem is that Zun keeps on shitting out new characters that we barely care about, instead of using already existing characters.

If I had to choose one, it would definitely be Marisa to make Reimu into a more serious shrine maiden.
 
I'm gonna say Cirno, her whole schtick is being reckless AF and facing the consequences of her actions. Pair that with fairies being weak creatures in Gensokyo and you've got the most logical character to kick the bucket.

Yuyuko could also just use her power to kill off anyone she doesn't like...or Mystia, if she gets hungry enough.
