Light of Torifune Shrine

so you made the game?! thanks for sharing it over here, i wouldn't have known about it otherwise! i tried it for a couple minutes and i like the visuals and the atmosphere it has and the gameplay is pretty uniqe as well. also i as wondering when the next version of NitorInc would release. it was fun from what i played (and i liked the different artstyles and fast paced mini games as well) and i hope it will get finished one day. by the way, do you know why that game went on a hiatus and why\if it will ever get finished?

Hey there! Regarding your first question: yes! I created it from scratch. I reused some assets from NitorInc and contacted the same composer who made the music for the NitorInc version. She even created a new track for this version—the main menu theme.
I'm really happy that you played it and enjoyed it. I'm pretty bad at promoting the game, so it's great to know that publishing it here attracted new people from the community, like yourself.

As for NitorInc, it's hard to know what really happened. As a member of the server, I noticed that the project leader was under a lot of stress due to the huge amount of work. They were contributing, either in small or major ways when needed, to virtually every microgame while also handling the broader aspects of the project and managing the team.
At some point, they decided to take some time off to rest. Then, a few weeks later, the Discord server was nuked. The admins said it had been hacked and that they had to shut it down for security reasons.
Years have passed, and that's the last thing I heard about NitorInc. I've contacted several developers who worked on the project, trying to find out more, but so far they all know the same things I do.

oh so it's the same composer as the NitorInc one?! that's cool! also you can also try posting about your game on the Touhou subreddit. i think posting here was a good idea though (since a good amount of Touhou fans who play the games are on moriya shrine well).

what happened to NitorInc is sad. it's understandable though. managing so many mini games and aspects of the game + the irl stuff must've been pretty hard. i hope the devs behind the project are ok at least. (also sorry for the late reply. seeing the state of play, xbox games showcase and nintendo direct made me forget about checking out if my comment got any replies XD)

Don't worry, better late than never! 😄

About the Touhou subreddit, I actually tried posting there. I'm so bad at self-promotion that a user who liked the game ended up promoting it on their own initiative. I'm really grateful for that.
And regarding NitorInc, I hope the developers are doing well too. I also hope that someday they can resume the project. There are so many beautiful and polished works in there, and it would be great to see them continue one day.

Also, I totally understand getting distracted by all those showcases. There was a lot to keep up with!
