Least cursed fandom you're in

Buwako

True God of the Boriya Shrine
as you know there are some fandoms so bad that they overshadow their own ip. touhou isnt bad enough to where its become that point, but the fandom definitely has its problems. not many, but some fandoms can be suuper chill, theres almost never any major drama.
of the fandoms that you are in, which one would you say is the most chill one and least problematic?

I would have to say Star Wars in my case. Most people in the fandom are friendly, sharing their theories, cosplays, hot takes, their dream movie/ show/ games in mature, level headed discussions. Some fans have even started their own lightsaber companies.
The only real bad apples that the Star Wars fandom has are folks that are so convinced that their opinion is right, that they go out of their way to threaten their peers on social media platforms.
Glaring red flag aside, you'll be hard pressed to find a tighter knit fandom than Star Wars.

I don't really partake in fandoms outside Touhou, but if I had to say one it would likely be the Mega Man series. Don't really hear much of 'em outside of still wanting Mega Man Legends 3 (which is justified since Capcom pulled the plug on the game and blamed the fans for it).

castlevania. it's a lot to unpack here
Castlevania fans (myself included) hoping that one day Konami will do something with the IP instead of making pachinko machines. Love those first couple games to tatters, and Haunted Castle Revamped shows classic games are still welcome by the fans.

I play a lot of games but I don't participate in half of the fandoms. Probably Mega Man? even then I would say they are going on the Half-Life route, just with the newest actually reasonable PC game coming out at a later date compared to Half-Life. I am in a lot of cursed fanbases. Obviously touhou, for one, but I am a PM refugee (Screw that fanbase. Legitimate brain-rotted children level of annoyance.) and I engage with the CoD fanbase (Do I need to say anymore?) so yeah. Probably the mega man fanbase.

Definitely umamusume, one of the few fandoms that you can almost always have no problem interacting with even in disagreement. People are super nice and keen to help with anything related to the game/series. Wish the same could be said about other gacha games fandoms but alas

Epic Batlle Fantasy, that fandom is just half dead lol, on second place id say Geometry Dash cuz any drama is either Moderator breaking rules of trading accounts and cheats or hackers giving everyone free insane demons

To me is OFF (done by mortis ghost).

Besides of being very niche (and maybe dead), everyone likes stuff from each other and support each other, there's like, zero drama all the time (since what I have seen).

The only thing that you could call as "Drama" was some thinking that the remake from Nintendo switch it was "worse" than the original. But even then, even that one was somewhat niche and there's people still defending it.

So yeah, to me is OFF (it may be because I don't have a lot of fandoms, tho).

Woah, it seems kinda nice.
I actually want to see some movies someday.

for me the chillest fandom is any modern tetris communities. classic tetris from what i see is not chill and likes to insult the modern tetris community.
Isn't to be rude, but to me is so absurd (at the point of being funny) that classic tetris players behave like that. Like, is just TETRIS. Why so much drama????

Not exactly a fandom, but I'm sorta in the tea tasting scene. I order quality leaves from asia, I taste them, sometimes I write reviews for them.

Anyone I've ever talked to in the community was very chill and supportive. Such a peaceful hobby. Beautiful gaiwans are to be seen and such.

It seems to be coming from how the laymen views the tetris community, someone not being from modern or classic tetris community will look at gameplay and see how much faster modern tetris is therefore modern tetris players are the better tetris players. I can see why classic tetris players hate this but this isnt really the fault of modern tetris players modern and classic is just that different in gameplay. The most amount of vitriol i have seen from classic tetris players going after modern is that time a classic tetris grandmaster tried playing tetris effect for days and the biggest combo in zone he got was a dodecahexatris (15 line clear), while the within the first few hours of tetris effect becoming public modern tetris players got perfectris (19 line clear) ultimatris(20 line clear) and even later kirbtris(21 line clear named after the first guy who acomplished this).

The reason modern tetris players are able to acomplish this is not superiority but just different mechanics that the classic tetris players are not used to, for example modern tetris has 7 bag system so the pieces that will come in queue are not randomized but will come in bags of 7 which is easier to plan classic tetris players are customed to having a completely random bag. This forces classic tetris players to build as flat as possible because in their game they cant predict what pieces are coming next so staying flat is the safest option, while modern tetris players can already predict all that because this is just how modern tetris handles pieces. there are multiple mechanics that are just like this that gives an easier time for modern tetris players, and classic tetris players will rant on these mechanics i guess because they hate looking inferior? i dont really know.

Classic and Modern tetris are pretty much different games, if i was asked to play classic i would struggle just as much as the classic grandmaster did for modern which is why i dont really like the discourse going around online, its filled with so much malice coming from 1 side.
