Going To Talk Some About My Old Decade-Long Story (Not Touhou-Related)

The Great Sun Republic had now for centuries begun to fall further and further into degeneracy, but do too had most of the other Galactic Nations. And by the late 2880s, the Great Sun Republic had become dominated by vast business conglomerates. Beginning in the early 2910s, a political movement in the Great Sun Republic known as the "Voegoutaists" (Voegouta meaning "Black Night Star" in an ancient Darker tongue) began to rise led by a mysterious older man named "Eklipsis Serzante". Their aims were to gain greater military and government power and to create a "New Order" where the religious institutions of the past would be erased (particularly of those related to the Lord God). In the elections of 2923 A.D.W., a man named Resalis Grumor won for the seat of the Grand Chancellor (the highest government of the Great Sun Republic) against Eklipsis Serzante and he would continue to seat in office until 2940 A.D.W. In the elections of 2940 A.D.W., Eklipsis Serzante would once more run for election, and in a move which would later prove to be a path to destruction, Resalis decided to support Eklipsis. And so, Eklipsis won the election, and a year later, he proclaimed that the flag, national anthem, and national symbols of the Republic would be changed for the first time in over 5,000 years. Over a course of several years, Eklipsis began to gain more power. It was then that Resalis began to see the sins of what he had done, but not long after, he died under mysterious circumstances in 2942 A.D.W. In February of 2945, for the first time since the Great Pirate Wars, the Darkers once again appeared themselves and launched a campaign known as the "Darker Crisis". But, 2 years later, in 2947, the Darkers mysteriously disappeared once more. Eklipsis then proclaimed that in order to help protect the Great Sun Republic, he'd need to have greater power, and so, the government legislation then gave him greater powers and greater control over the military. Over the next 6 years, he had gained more power and exploited the conglomerates while publicly condemning them. Beginning in 2952, the first susccessionist crisis in a thousand years began. 3 years later in November of 2955, the Great Sun Republic proclaimed that the neutral Zavula Confederacy was supplying these movements, and so, in an act of aggression, the Great Sun Republic swiftly invaded the and annexed the Confederacy. This sparked a chain reaction which caused various Galactic Nations who relied on the Zavula Confederacy and the Great Sun Republic to declare war on each other and with the Great Sun Republic itself declaring war on the other nations whom it claimed were also supplying the sussecionist movements. This ultimately started the 11-year war known as the "Sussecionist Wars" or the "Upheaval War". At the end of the conflict in 2967, the Great Sun Republic proved to not become weaker, but in fact stronger. On May 19, 2967, Eklipsis announced that in order to protect order and security, that he would make himself "Emperor" and transform the Great Sun Republic into the Intergalactic Voegouta Empire. The business conglomerates who also supported him were ultimately betrayed and absorbed directly into the government and the last remaining members of the Sussecionist movements were crushed. But, this brought about a much darker work beginning to take shape later considered to be one of the worst genocides up to that point in history...

In 2968, the Independent Sateri Revolutionary State and Voegouta Empire proclaimed a military alliance and political "union". 2 years later in 2970, Emperor Eklipsis "died" in what was claimed to be an accident, and so, a new Emperor was chosen, Emperor Tryanis. But the truth was that the man who played the role of Eklipsis, Evarka Fate, now had a puppet emperor and empire at his command. The Voegouta Empire had then proclaimed that the People of the Lord amongst various other religions and peoples were "enemies of the state" and would therefore be vanquished. The Voegouta Empire as well sought to invade the other Galactic Nations to create an empire to last for eternity. Of course, not the public nor even Emperor Tryanis himself knew the full extent of these plans...

This most certainly is all pretty long. lol
The story of the Voegouta Empire and it's rise and fall was pretty much the first part of the entire Story I had come up a decade ago this year, and as it's events basically serve as the crux for the Story really as a whole, then these events are what would be the "opening". This is only the first part of the wider narrative of the Voegouta Empire. I'll later tell about the formation of the "Voegoutan Alliance" and the massive civil war within and invasions outside the Voegouta Empire known as the "Voegoutan Wars", of 2999 A.D.W. to 3016 A.D.W. Of course, everything to do with the Voegouta Empire and some of the events after its collapse is still considered to be the "beginning" of the Story. There are in many ways, far more parts to the Story AFTER these events. Though since those would probably take twice or even thrice the number of words as all of this has and probably will, then I won't get into those unless someone really wants me to.

Ah. One more thing is that the Upheaval Wars would be considered to be over on the day of the Voegouta's Empire's proclamation of creation. Despite the conflicts against the successionist movements continuing into the next year.
Also, throughout the course of the conflicts, the successionist movements created various independent states within the Great Sun Republic, most of them being comprised of several star systems whom banded together and expelled Great Sun Republican forces and declared themselves to be independent. Despite some of their causes begin just, they would ultimately be the pawns of Evarka Fate and would often prove themselves to be extremely brutal and violent, taking the lives of tens of millions.

I think I may present some more of the proceeding to the Voegoutan Wars pretty soon, but first, I'll give some more information which is probably pretty important in regards to the Story and the peoples within the Heavens:
The vast majority of peoples, at the very least within the Holy Group itself, live for several centuries at least, and is not too uncommon for many to live for even millennium. Part of this is a result of technological power (of which most technology is far greater than anything which has been produced on Earth), but is also as a result of biological genes.
Of course, it'd be impossible for me to explain why those peoples can live for as long as they do otherwise, but the point is that they do.
Even the humans of the Heavens, live for anywhere from 80 to 300 years on average, and 600 most often at maximum. Though some other peoples such as the Sateri (whom themselves take around 90 to 110 years to become adults and on average live for 300 to 1,400 years) and the Trandoians (whom can possibly live upwards of 10,000 years) are examples of those who may live for longer than the "intergalactic norm" (which is around 400 to 800 years).
I say this is important, as for example, Shivarzu (the dictator of the ISK) will have been over 200 years old by the beginning of the Sateri Civil War and will continue to rule the ISK for much of it's existence until his assassination in 2972 A.D.W.
Another example will be one of the main protagonists of this upcoming part of the Story, Mitsukusha Yukanira Eircaru. He will be a Sateri born in the year 2441, and already by the Sateri Civil War, he will be over 200 years old himself. Of course, he will be an extremely unique individual, but that explanation shall be for another time.
Anyway, the point to all of this, is the fact that the peoples of the Holy Group generally have extremely long lives, and so therefore is one reason why many Galactic Nations can exist for millennia, but is also another reason why they can become so "explosive" later in their long lives.
