i heard its technically piracy but zun doesnt mind. is that true or no?

I've read up a little about it, and zun's general stance seems to be that he doesn't condone it, but he doesn't feel he has the authority nor the responsibility to bother himself with it.

If I were you, I'd download from here anyway. Piracy is basically one of the only reasons Touhou is as popular as it is, and, like, it's not like zun's gonna crash into your home for playing his game...

His lawyer has forced Moriya Shrine in the past to take down their hosted copies (resulting in it being available only in torrents for a while), so yeah he does care about his games being pirated.

Do not let Japanese knows, that's really the only thing you could do. Might as well learn what things they get mad at because they cannot even communicate it properly.
The western friend I talked to had no clue what "Do not repost without permission" means, Japanese avoid illegal reposting even in their own private discord server
I pirate whatever I want and you can do that too, Do not let japanese people know about it at all. I think that's how the things like current copyright situation happens.
