Day 53: Eirin Yagokoro
Eirin is quite weird, as she really should be the kind of character I like. Her lore is really cool, where it shows a lot of her power and capabilities, and gives lore to the other eientei crew. Her design is really neat, and it’s unique even after all this time. However, the major issue with her is her general use in current events involving her. She essentially ends as the “know it all,” which really only ends up as her being a plot device to lead the protag. If she doesn’t, she provides some kind of doctor thing that also drives the plot forward. She never really goes and does interesting stuff, because she never really has been given it despite how much she actually shows up. She’s like yukari but without the actual involvement. Overall, a neat concept without much to get her going.
