can satoris even change clothes

satori and koishi's third eye seem to be connected to parts of their clothes. i would assume that the hearts where the eye connects is there to hide it connecting into the skin, but if their eye is connected to the skin, wouldnt it be a hastle to change into other outfits? how did they even get into the outfits they are currently wearing?

i assume the hearts are organs that mark the end of the tendril, and i also assume that Satori's headband and Koishi's shoes are made a few days after birth to not cause death as the tendrils can break off easily, as well as the fact that the third eye is most likely the heart.

As for the clothes part, i think you can just move the tendrils (at least for koishi) away from the body carefully to make it so it's easier to put on/take off clothes

So either they were born recently or somehow they got access to modern clothing.

But I doubt the former as the palace of the earth spirits isn't new and the latter doesn't make sense, both doesn't make sense either as they are hated and no one would help them.

My hypothesis is it is merely aesthetic or is just their form projected, or similar.
