when i run touhou 6 on the normal exe it runs completely normal, the issue is it always starts on fullscreen and it runs at the speed of light. this fixes itself though whenever im able to somehow change it to windowed. edit: seems like it saves the changes and now it always starts on windowed, no idea why thpatch exe doesnt save the changes tho

did you get the games from this website? It should contain vpatch.exe and thcrap. basically there is a shortcut called "touhou 6 (en)" or something. This one runs through thcrap and applies vpatch. which helps run the game on newer OS's. If everything fails try downloading locale emulator. right click vpatch.exe and run it in japanese locale. Hope this helps.
