Halo Wars had a pretty good cover.
Put the Spartans front and center with a whole armada behind them. It makes it pretty clear that you'll be commanding an army in this one versus the mainline games focusing on just Master Chief. Really inspires a sense of a grand scale.
I think that Total War Shogun 2 has a pretty great cover if you are including digital covers. I think it does the best job of showing a collection of the important units of all the Total War games and just has a really cool looking Samurai.
Honestly put a guy in cool armor with an army behind them and I'm probably sold on your product. Love this kind of cover art.

For me it definitely was "Diablo III: Reaper of Souls".
It just has this look to it that makes it feel special

I'd say lycoris recoil, cover art is just as great as the anime itself

Well, I'd have probably seen even better ones before (I wouldn't be able to remember for the current time though), but the album cover for Taishi's AD: PIANO VI -Punishment- looks beautiful to me.
I like the enigmaticness of the three characters on it.

This one is another album from Taishi whose cover art is stunning, if not significantly moreso than the previous one I sent.
I love grand-scale ruin artworks like this. They always make me wish I could go inside of them.
Makes it even better considering the music for this album is incredibly beautiful. The album's name could not be any more accurate.

Prisoner of the Mogeko Castle
Probably the cover of The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan. There is a newer, more stylized version (the reissue), but the 2009 cover is undeniably the best.

Thomas DuBois is the king of box art in my books, did a lot of work for Konami in the late 80s/early 90s. Some of gaming's most iconic box arts are thanks to his efforts, a few of which I've included below:
Super Castlevania IV
Contra III: The Alien Wars
TMNT IV: Turtles in Time
