I don't understand how downloads for large games work.

THe downloads for large games are set in parts, with the file extension being .001, and .002, etc. then when I try to change the extension back to the .zip and .rar or .7z files, the extraction doesn't work. help?!?

put it all in the same folder, DO NOT change the extension, open the .001 with 7zip, it will treat all of it as one file, then just extract it.

Just do it with every file on one folder and extract 001

So, what you're saying is to select .001 & the .002's and open them together as if they were one file?

Right-click it with 7zip and extract. It will locate the other associated files in the same directory, if they don't exist, you will get error. 

You always start with .001.
