Where did your username come from?

i had to make a new instagram username and didnt know what to make it so i keyboard smashed a few times and got something that started with zg and ended with fish. then i linked the two together i guess, i forget where the gif part came from if that isnt the actual reason.

i thought it was pretty cool so i kept it and here we are 8+ yrs later 😎

 
got mines from a pretty obvious character in touhou O_<-☆

I have two usernames and you can find them all over the internet if you try hard enough. Banana Man came from when I had lost my original account to some website way back then, Couldn't think of a good replacement, I legit just looked at the two things I saw and put them together (I was super close to putting Banana Wolverine until I decided that Banana Man was way funnier). Halo4577 is my really old xbox username I had used back during the 360 Era. I don't use it as often on websites as much as I use them on game platforms.

 
I sometimes use the phrase "presidential adhesive renovations" to practice handwriting (I do this a lot when I'm bored), because quick brown fox gets boring after a while.
I shortened it to "presadhereno", which sounded extremely odd at first but began to slowly make more sense as I kept repeating it. I'm satisfied with the name because the elaboration of its origin is funny due to its absurdity.

I usually just go with khlobbia, my initials+last name.

But I guess one day it got boring, so I sat down thinking to myself for a few minutes.

Kymoh Lemu seemed like a good alias, even with matching initials.

But my friends and family would get weirded out, so I only use it for anonymous places like here. (oh well)

omg I just realized how repetitive my sentence structure is lol

i thought it was a weird misspelling + shortened ver. of kimochi (feeling in japanese)

 
No fancy origin really. A long time ago I went by random names I made up on the spot for every single site I used. As it was getting tedious remembering those, especially for places I intended to use more often, I wanted to have a more permanent nick.

In this case, I just decided to use the first two words in my native language that came to mind at that time. Decided to cut the latter half at some point due to character limits often not accepting the full version. Nowadays I have to go with some variation of Maden every now and then because other people register with that nickname before I do.

 
Took Akko and Diana and smooshed them together. I liked Akiana better than Diakko, I say it like arcana, so I don't annunciate the i after the k. 

I'm just getting into the games of Touhou, but I've been following the memes for a few years. Any recommendations? I'm setting up 12.3 right now.

 
Mine is fairly simply my family is pretty involved in the armed forces as such I became pretty interested in the military as well particularly planes and boats, I got the idea from ballast tanks and ballast weights on boats and planes respectively, I thought ballast would be a cool name.

I can't deny the memes the DNA of the soul had a good share on this decision. Also the "Crabulon" boss from Calamity Mod had a tiny bit persuasion for having such an awesome theme. There is also a little story. Once upon a time, a young Crab was playing an RPG. Over there you could play as Hunter, and one of the characteristics of that class was that you could tame pets. The little me thought "That's so cool! I wonder which ones I can get? There are so many options!". And on the whole realm of possibilities I had, I could have chosen a stealthy lynx, a ferocious wolf, a tenacious crocodile, a agile owl, maybe a stalwart bear. Many many options for one little me.

Then I saw a blue crab at the shore. Hell yeah.



 
My current username is Stan. It started as a thought of changing my username to something super generic as a joke but I think I will keep it as I like this username. I have not changed my username in years. unanimously over the internet my old username was Schloozy. I have used it since I was 12. It came from the words schtick and oozy. I used to think those were such funny words. 

EDIT: Stan was also the name of my first terraria character which probably added a bit of significance to the name in my mind.

I've gone by 4 different names over the years. "Tendest" and "Tendiest" were both plays on the word Tender + the suffix -est and then -iest (pronounced either /ē-est/ or /ēst/) which I thought sounded better. Then the shortened form of the two become just "Ten." Now I currently use "TentoTentoria" because I think it sounds cool.
 
My name comes from Ico. Particularly, Team Ico. For the fact I loved the game Shadow of the Colossus. The soundtrack. The aesthetics. Everything. Then I eventually played Ico from the PS3 hd collection of SotC and Ico. When I entered a gaming tournament, I realized my old account name really didn't lend itself to being called out on an intercom. So I took inspiration from Team Ico and their name and made Icoman from it. Unfortunately, Ico and Icoman themselves get taken online alot. So I'm always playing the game of whether or not I have to make edits to the end. I love Shadow of the Colossus so much man. I'd love a Touhou game that does some funny shenanigans and play like Shadow of the Colossus.
 
I just created it out of thin air :)

but I also use doll8sitter, it's formed by doll and babysitter, which means I take care of dolls (idk why I chose this meaning specifically but it's cool)
