what game do you want to get a new classic?

as you know, touhou 6: new classic recently came out as an official remake, so what games are you most excited for to get a new classic? either because it's your favorite game, or it just needs an official touch-up to some of the graphics. let me know in the replies

I'd love it if Phasmagoria of Flower View got a remake.
It's my favorite official game and some of the art could do with some improvement with modern tech.

Just the games that aren't on Steam. Do 7-8 to make them accessible and then attention can be focused elsewhere.

Personally I think anything they would do in a New Classic is too far a departure from the PC98 games. The antiquated technology they were made with and for is part of the appeal. I wouldn't mind them bundling them with some in-built emulator and releasing them on Steam altogether, though.

I don't care much for a remake for PCB or IN (as I think both are perfect games already, but it'll still be interesting to see what they might do with it), but a remake for PoFV is definitely something I agree with. There's SO much PoFV has going for it in my eyes. It has great music (and one of the best title themes in the entire series, if you ask me), it's story is both dark, and yet calming, and it has a great selection of characters (not to mention, it's the game where Medicine was introduced).
It'd be great for PoFV to possibly gain some of the spotlight in the event of a remake.

If they had to make an emulator it would be cool if they made the games in the New Classic's style
Imo would be really cool as well if they canonized it cuz im a big fan of the PC98 era of Touhou

Agreed, the lack of hitboxes is terrible
Maybe it would even get Shanghai Alice Reprise cancelled on Twitter for that one Meira's line in Touhou 2: SoEW meaning Touhou could gain big popularity spike which would be awesome seeing how niche Touhou is nowadays

PC98 games for sure, I'd kill to have SoEW with autofire and focused movement. Unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen seeing as how most people don't give a damn about the PC98 era, but a man can dream.

the PC98 games. Touhou 7 is a candidate but the PC98 games should take priority. I just hope PoC isn't added to them as that would ruin the game.
