marisa is just the less attractive and less interesting character among all the girls, nothing has ever happened to her to be really worthy mentioned or for us to pay attention to, all of her personality and stories orbit around other girls like alice or reimu, beside her appearance you can not even say if its maid or witch not even that you can tell of her, and yes i dislike her, i would even take a fly and fight you to prove me right
Marisa appears in all touhou games except touhou 1, Shoot the Bullet and Double Spoier, has a role in every manga, has her own book (Grimoire of Marisa), her own game (100th Black Market) and is originally used by ZUN as a "simple character that the audience understands" to explain stories from a different perspective. In most games, she acts independently and does her own research, that's her schtick.
hehe well yes it was obvious the trolling and deserve it too, but the part "used by zun as a simple character..." mm really?? i dont have that feeling of her, most like someone that yes goes around on her own to make her research but not for the audiance to undarstand a simpler version of whats going on,

Zun's original storytellers were Reimu and Marisa, and he described Reimu as a pretty obscure character because she's a shrine maiden that talks to gods (basically his own point of view, according to him), and Marisa as an "ordinary" and simple human (fans' point). Now he prefers Mamizou and Aya, using them to explain game events in the mangas, and everyone hates 'em because of that.
There's at least a couple Touhou characters I'm not all that interested in (such as Miko, Nitori, and well, I guess much of the casts from UFO and TD). I think it's already inevitable that with a series which has as many characters as Touhou does, there's bound to be at least a few I don't really like/am not interested in. Regardless, Touhou is one of those rare series in which I like the vast majority of it's characters. Still, I do like some better than others (such as Orin, Kokoro, Hina, the Yakumos, Letty, Yuyuko, etc).
Can't argue with any of that. Though despite not being among my favorites, I still do like Mamizou and Aya (even more-so because of the supplementary works).

I really like them both because at least someone gets slight character development. Most of the hate is just because "erm why me waifu (trump king from touhou 5) is not mentioned rraaahh"

Definitely agree with that. Aya herself already began her character development as far back as PoFV (which is one reason I like her more than I would've otherwise). On a side note, Eiki is slowly getting up there in my favorite Touhou characters as a result of PoFV (Komachi as well). People really don't appreciate Eiki more, which I find sad. She's probably among the most genuinely kind characters in Touhou, but most people just delegate her to "smol angry judge girl".
