What History themed Touhou character would you want in future games? (if any)

Nareko Michigami is obviously an Ancient Egypt themed Touhou and Touhou is clearly a Japanese mythology/culture themed series. What historical eras/figures would you like to see depicted in the franchise if any? Genuinely curious what historical eras are popular among Touhou fans.
 
I would love to see some medieval or Renascence type characters in Touhou.
The amount of characters inspired from time periods of the West are few and far between.
I would be all for a Touhou game featuring King Richard the Lionheart.

Hecatia and Piece aren't enough, I wish for more Greek/Roman inspirations. Maybe even Egyptian or Mesopotamian. Though that would be really strange lol

(By the way, Hollow Song of Birds fangame has two Egyptian gods and The Last Comer features literal Jesus Christ and some saints)
 
i would like to imagine a story based on perry's expedition. on how gensokyo would act apon being forcibly opened like japan was during its creation.
think on how they would act apon seeing a advanced vehicle for the first time

For some reason, they didn't really care about the Outside world they've seen in th14.5 when Sumireko broke the barrier. And nobody was surprised when Kanako opened a nuclear reactor. But a gigantic steam toy, that did cause panic
 
that would be neat to know. they do have european legends with sumireko being a doppelganger. thats a german crypid right here. imagine say..a incident where the more scary legends appear in gensokyo. lile urban legends in limbo but say...eirin with the black ambulance or aya with pippo the ghost plane or maybe tewi with the stories surrounding kagome kagome.
 
I think that a sort of portrayal of The Odyssey in Touhou would be awesome. Like what I mean is some character ends up in Gensokyo by accident, and in their own short story, they overcome all sorts of troubles in Gensokyo (Like Odysseus overcoming all his challenges), before finally reuniting with their Penelope, that of which being the outside world. And also, I guess that could extend to, in general, just Greek characters in Touhou. Actually, a spartan character would be sick.

neat. i would imagine this character having fun either with the wolf tengus due to thier speed and armament or the onis for thier strength.
 
As a fan of Saint Seiya, a greek themed character would be welcomed. Not actually historical, but explorers like Odysseus could end up wandering to Gensokyo, especially as spirit.
