Wanting To Play Touhou Fangames With Characters Playable Other Than Just Reimu, Marisa, and Sanae

I'm looking for suggestions for games as described by the title. Some of the playable characters I'm looking for are Rin Kaenbyou, Hina Kagiyama, Hata no Kokoro, Chen, Junko, Keiki Haniyasushin, Mike Goutokuji, Tsukasa Kudamaki, Keine Kamishirasawa, Medicine Melancholy, Kagerou Imaizumi, Okina Matara, etc. Basically, the characters I quite like (especially with Rin, Hina and Kokoro being the big ones I'm looking for) and/or the ones who are far more obscure and not normally playable. I've found a few fangames with a couple of those ones being playable (and of course, Rin, Kokoro, Medicine and Tsukasa are all playable in official Touhou games), but I'm hoping there to be a lot more which I just haven't come across. Could anyone help me with this please? The main genres I'm looking for are shooting, fighting, rpg, etc. As long as I can play it relatively well and it has a type of gameplay I like, (and while not a requirement, I'd also prefer games with no fanservice), I'm fine with it as long as the playable character is one I like.

If you suggest a game I've played before, I'll say so. My memory isn't always the best, so it'd just be best to say which ones I've played if you suggest them.

I don't remember many (shooting) fangames with these characters being playable. Some of these characters (for example Okina) mostly appear as supporting character (mostly appear in dialogues and sometimes affect shottype). But the ones I can remember are Touhou Little Doll Queen (Mayumi, Mai & Satono, Medicine), 東方ナラティブヒストリー (Hina), Youkai Kori Kassen (Ran, Mamizou). There are some other fangames which have playable characters which are not Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, Sanae and Youmu and which are not in your list (for example Sapphire Panlogism (Shou and Hecatia), Treasure Castle Labyrinth (Reimu&Tenshi, Marisa&Byakuren, Sanae&Futo), Immortal Immanuel (Clownpiece, Seija)).
I also offer to check IotDF, there is some really fun stuff with Tsukasa and other characters (but they are not playable).
There is also a patch (UDoALGShottypesUM) for UM which adds Zanmu, Orin, Ran, Enoko as playable characters. You can also find patches on thcrap which add different characters in different games.
I think I saw some of other listed characters being playable, but I don't remember in which fangames/patches. I hope other forum members will help you.

I've played both Little Doll Queen and Sapphire Panlogism (Sapphire Panlogism is actually my favorite Touhou shooting fangame I've come across so far, but I haven't been able to play it much recently because I'd prefer to play when it's raining, but my area has been in a very severe drought for a few months now) and I can't get Youkai Kori Kassen to work. On a side note, I am also aware that there are probably not many Touhou fangames with those characters (that is why I'm planning on possibly making my own games with those characters in them in the future). Anyway, I'll have to check out the rest of those (the one I've heard of is Immortal Immanuel, but I haven't looked into it much), so thanks for the suggestions!

I think it's something to do with the type of file the game is. Some Touhou fangames I just can't play because of the file requiring an extractor that this computer doesn't have or whatever. Anyway, thanks for the spreadsheet! I'm sure that'll be a big help! It's just unfortunate that it doesn't seem to describe specific details of the games in there. Guess I gotta look up those on my own.

Hmm, the original upload seems to be a zip archive. You can install winrar or 7z. You can also try this mirror, I hope it will help you.

I'm not sure how long ago it was that I tried downloading the game (as I said before, I sometimes have bad memory), so I'll try downloading it now and see if it works, as I already do have 7z.

It's a rar file, and I don't have anything that can open that. I had problems with an external file extractor before, so I'm wary of downloading another one. My friend Blox seems to have tried it before too (probably from me asking him about it before) and despite him being good at computer code stuff, it appears even he couldn't figure it out. I'd have to ask him about it again though and see if he knows anything. Not going to exactly worry about it for now though. Still, thanks for trying to help!

Unfortunately, it does not seem to. If I try to open it, it just cycles back to it saying "this file may harm your computer or you open it", even if I press open again after selecting 7z.
 
The best thing I can suggest is Touhou Crawl, a free rpg you can get on Steam.
I don't remember which characters are playable, but you can create custom characters that, while they may not be one-to-one, might be close depending on who you're aiming for.

It looks like Windows 11 moment. It tries to protect you as it doesn't trust files downloaded from internet. :Sanae:
That is what Google offers
Right-click the file in File Explorer and select Properties. At the bottom of the General tab, check the Unblock checkbox and click Apply.

I'm not sure as of yet. I'll probably try it in a little while. Let's hope it does help though. Not sure how good I'd be at the game anyway though. lol
 
Try Fantasy Maiden Wars, you start with Reimu but soon you get Keine and then many many more characters, you can just ignore Reimu and not upgrade her while using more characters, customizing them, and reading their unique dialogue in battle. It's an amazing fangame. Search for the name and add the name of this forum and you should be able to get it. Shangai.exe is algo a good fangame and the protagonist is Alice, but you need to get into the discord to get the latest version. There is Touhou Big Big Battle which is free and lets you use a fair amount of characters but it is more of a moba online game than a singleplayer.
