The visual publicity map of the animation of the Mystia's Izakaya mentioned earlier was announced.
Preparations have begun in all aspects, let's see if we can prepare more things before the big festival. Doujin animation, not commercial animation;
An episode may be about 15 minutes, excluding OP and ED;

My thoughts

It will be a slice of life anime, what I think really fits the original fangame. I think it may cover some ingame events. I think the plot will be like in Touhou slice of life mangas, I don't think it will be much more complicated. It is interesting that there are concept arts of Kosuzu, so maybe we will see the Human Village and maybe she will work in the izakaya. But maybe these are concepts for later episodes. It is hard to say how often they will come out, maybe every 1-2 years, maybe like Summer Day's Dream (you know how rarely it comes out). We still don't have a lot of info about it, so it is hard to say anything about it. I hope it will be quite fun to watch.

It seems like they have a very big circles, because they are making the anime and a new game at the same time. But it is good to see a new circle which makes fananime (because now there are literally only 4 circles who makes it: 舞風-Maikaze (Summer Day's Dream), 満福神社 / Manpukujinjya (The Memories of Phantasm), Kyoto Fantasy Troupe (The Sealed Esoteric History), R-note (M-1 Grand Prix); + sometimes 卯堀亭 / ウサホリ ; rarely there are some smaller circles which make anime / animations (like 回鍋楼 / AZu (found here), but I cannot find any info about them)).

One day I really want to see a fananime about fancharacters (for example by Kaisendo Directs).

All versions has Japanese vocals but Steam page says that the anime will have Japanese and Chinese voices.
Yes, this Anime will be distributed via Steam. And I don't know if there are plans for other ways of distribution.
It also looks like Kosuzu will be an important character.

I am really looking forward to this anime, especially now that Hifuu Club Activity Record is nowhere in sight due to a broken funding chain.(囧仙 should take full responsibility for this.)

It is no exaggeration to say that 二色幽紫蝶 has become one of the most famous doujin clubs in Chinese Touhou.

Generally speaking, a club only has one table in THO, but 二色幽紫蝶 has six tables in Shanghai THO.

There are many Doujin products developed based on Touhou Mystia's Izakaya, and I think this is a healthy Doujin development model.

I really don't think they should've made the trailer and opening in separate videos for each and every language; it's not like they're dubbed in different languages anyway.
And 20 minutes every 6 to 12 months is pretty fast, considering how I don't think Manpuku Jinja ever managed to release a full 20 minute episode. (then again delays could happen and 6-12 months become 9-18 months, especially when it's highly unlikely that 二色幽紫蝶's other works won't be nearly as successful as Mystia's Izakaya).

They did successfully launch a crowdfunding last year and met their goals, but they seldom make disclosures on the status of SDM part 2, which I think they could do better.

And you're right, where Youzikk by default should be the "number one chinese touhou circle in a worldwide scale" just from the success of Mystia Izakaya, where I don't think there's another chinese individual touhou fan with that much prominence, when speaking in a worldwide fashion.

And honestly...Youzikk should've just asked ZUN for crowdfunding permission, but it doesn't seem like they're being really "that serious" about this anime to begin with, with how little effort they're making to monetize the anime, and Youzikk most likely haven't imagined an anime when they first released Mystia's Izakaya in 2021.

Well, that is because there are (at least) two studios who draw this (as Steam page says). One of them is newly founded Chinese studio (for which I cannot find any information) and another one is commercial Japanese studio which drew some episodes for different anime series and some of their members participated in making animations for Honkai Star Rail. So they have enough experience.

I don't think so. Asking studios to draw this anime, broadcasting OP in several stores long before Bilibili/Youtube uploads, trying to make anti-piracy defense. I think they are serious about it, but maybe not using their full potential.

The anti-piracy part is really funny to me because they like, wanna seperate pirates from people who bought the anime?
Those who pirates already didn't give a fuck about the cheevos, and those who... cares anyways has like 3 methods to still get the achievement.
