I won't let this thread die and like Ken, I'll be boosting it up to the front page.

A group gaming event is definitely an idea (I don't know how popular Rivals specifically is to the recent users here), although this option is also the one that presents the most technical difficulties:On that note, maybe we should be looking into a Rivals of Aether tournament?
An art event is an idea, since we seem to have a lot of people into art here now. Although to make things a bit broader, I have a better idea - any of the oldies here remember the Spring Creative Event thread I made a year or 2 back? It never caught on back then, so I deleted that thread. But this year I'd like to give that another try - the slower format of that event plays to a forum's strengths, as opposed to a game tourney, and it's an opportunity for everyone to show off what they like doing. Of course, I've missed the beginning of spring by quite a margin, but that's no matter, I'll just host it for a different season instead.Art Contest
"Moriya Jam" is still something I'd be absolutely down to do, but I don't think we have enough programmers to make it feasible.Game jam?
It's going to be difficult to hold one but the odds are not stacked against a few of the members here. (Pardon, since the time zone here is a bit of a pain and I don't have Rivals so, that seals me out)A group gaming event is definitely an idea (I don't know how popular Rivals specifically is to the recent users here), although this option is also the one that presents the most technical difficulties:
-It needs to be game we all have and can play together
-It needs to be a game people actually want to play
-People here are from many different parts of the world, timezones would make organising the event a pain
-On a similar note, connection stability over a long distance is also likely to be a difficulty
A lot of talented people and passionate ones are here. You can never go wrong with an art contest. Yo, I'll be there when one of the Creative Threads coming into a play. (No promises but I'll be switching my oni side)An art event is an idea, since we seem to have a lot of people into art here now. Aye, I'm truly not going to be a dev since I don't have the skills and effort (yet). But hey, if there're games jams, I'll be doing all ending style like ManlyBadassHero. (About the Remix Tournament, I still don't have a clue of what it's about but I better research it, but I'm 100% that I'll record it in Gou-Jii album since it's history and I love art and history, the results are creating an art piece with everyone participated in, maybe I could be in too?) Anyways, you guys are really admirable ones!"Moriya Jam" is still something I'd be absolutely down to do, but I don't think we have enough programmers to make it feasible.
All this discussion naturally comes back to the one and only Remix Tournament. Ken Hisung if I'm not mistaken, we agreed you're the next host for this, yes? The Remix Tournament is popular with all the long term users here, works fantastically as a forum event, and is generally just really fun, for sure the newer members here need a chance to experience it. We don't have a strict schedule for when we do these, but going off the rough time gaps between tournaments, I think the next one would be due sometime next month?I remember us discussing that 4 tourneys a year had become a bit much, I think now the idea is to do 3
That is the plan; early next month, with the possibility of late this month if Jerome makes a return. @Gou the frog (and I suppose anyone else interested), there's a playlist with all the previously submitted features (currently missing one, because I can't bring myself to add the video): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbKXeKXEr2ZWAaMhx4ClOU_tQog7DJVhXI think the next one would be due sometime next month?
