It is that time of year again. I've not shown my face in this forum for a long time now but the strongest day is once again upon us, and I intend to honour the tradition YOU BETTER NOT HAVE FORGOTTEN I thought I'd actually create a new thread for once, so, my fellow bakas, I implore you to...

Some of these threads with lots of posts on now have a sidebar showing certain information. This shrinks the width of everything else. Now when I try to add a new post to these threads, I less have less options along the top of the text editor - specifically, the spoiler tab is gone, and I quite...

Have AMA's recently become some kind of silly trend on this forum? Yes, yes they have. But whatever, it gives me something to discuss about, and having been here a long time I'd like to think I'm an interesting enough person for people to have questions about me. So, if there's anything you want...

I've been meaning to make this post for a while now. At one point I was gonna wait until the remix tournament had concluded for this, but uh, that doesn't seem so wise at the moment. So, what is this post exactly? Well, I've been on this forum for (almost) 4 years now. And a lot has changed in...

It's about time. Since it is once more my turn to host, I am once again going against the tradition of naming the thread after a Star Wars reference, although this time you still get a Spielberg* reference, so I'm kind of following the tradition?... We're gonna run out of Star Wars references...

Black Market of Bulletphilia ~ 100th Black Market is a game made by ZUN. It is a game I personally enjoyed extremely. It is not without its flaws, given the exploitable nature that comes with the ability card system, but nonetheless ability cards are still a fun mechanic and I like what this...

I have long thought about what it would take to create a map of gensokyo accurate to all cannon information we have... well I've learned that someone has in fact done just that! It's not perfect by the author's own admission, and perhaps should be treated as a kind of "first draft", but still...

I've made a new fangame for Touhou Station Game Jam 2022! The theme this game is based on in "tsunagu" - "connect". Connected Spirits is high-score chasing beat-em-up game where you control Youmu's human and ghost half simultaneously. By considering the position of both characters, you can...

Today is "EoSDay", the 20th anniversary of Touhou 6! To commemorate the occasion I released a short fangame that re-imagines the early stages of the game. It's a metroidvania-like twin-stick shooter where you explore the Scarlet Devil Mansion and fight in bullet hellish combat, and it even...

The age old question: how do I get my friends to be interested in Touhou? I've been without irl Touhou friends for too long now and I've decided it's finally time I at least tried to manually convince people. I'm sure I've read about other people introducing their friends to Touhou. How do you...

Touhou 18.5 ~ 100th Black Market has been announced for release on August 14th. Wow, Marisa looks really good on that title screen! Finally out of Reimu's shadow, huh - can't wait to see what she gets up to. Since this is a spinoff, I'm not sure exactly how the gameplay works in this one, but...

On the 11th of August, Touhou 6: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil (AKA Touhou Koumakyou) will be 20 years old! Touhou 6 is very important game in the series, marking the start of the windows era and introducing many characters and songs that have become especially iconic to the fandom. To celebrate...

A dumb question I want answered  :AyaSmug:

This is something that randomly popped into my head the other day when I was thinking back to the times we could still host everything on here as simple file downloads. Do Japanese fans pirate? Touhou has a larger following over there than overseas, and although it is also possible to find...

Hey everyone, I'm back again inquiring if anyone here can do art for a game. As some may already know, I'm currently working on an update for Dream of Ar-card-ia, a game that was originally created for a game jam, and one of the things I'm intending to add is artwork for all the cards. Due to...

Hey all! If anyone here remembers the post I made some weeks back about an upcoming game jam, here's the result of that! This game is a submission for Touhou Fan Game Jam 8. The jam duration was 72 hours, and the theme was dreams.  Dream of Ar-card-ia ~ Dreaming of the Perfect Deck is a...

Ok, so let me first preface this with saying that the title of this topic is meant as a joke. I just want to have a serious conversation about what people thought of the quality of Gouyoku Ibun. Now, with that being said... Yeah. I have a lot of problems with Gouyoku Ibun. Warning: Massive...

Whatever comes of this DMCA, I just really hope the forum doesn't get shut down because of it. At first I thought it was just some troll but more and more it now seems to be ZUN's legal team. I have no idea what the future of this site will be without the downloads, no one will have a reason to...

Hey everyone! Planning on participating in the next Touhou fan game jam soon, just wanted to make this post to see if anyone would like to join my team and make art for the game? What I'm looking for: As long as nothing changes Jam should be happening April 15th - April 17th, so I need...

I'm here again to bring you the latest Touhou news updates at the speed of Aya! (Ok, maybe not quite that fast.) Keep in mind that this is roughly machine translated from its source. You can find the original Japanese article here: https://touhou-project.news/news/6165/ Firstly, ZUN has...
