IMPORTANT UPDATE - There is now a new version of the game up which fixes a game-crashing bug. If you already downloaded the game, please get the new version to avoid crashes.

If y'all liked my game, please leave a rating on the game jam page: https://itch.io/jam/touhou-jam-8/rate/1492068. I'd greatly appreciate it! Actually, that'd be pretty helpful even if you didn't like my game

AHA! MY HEADCANON WAS CORRECT AFTER ALL!  :AyaSmug:

Jo'on is most certainly a prick, but I actually like her as an antagonist. While blatantly selfish, her motivations are also understandable, and her strategy for preventing any of the protagonists from beating her is actually really clever. Without going too much into spoilers, seeing Yukari...

This is the sort of method I have often thought of for measuring time in Gensokyo, never bothered to actually calculate any of it, though.

Alright, here are my updated sorter results for 2022. Unsurprising that Reimu and Marisa stay at the top, but interesting to see that Sakuya has fallen off. Also apparently I have 3 no. 6, haha what??? I would probably reorder those ties like so: 6: Mokou, 7 Patchouli, and 8 Kaguya. Just a...

Hmmm, I haven't done sorter in a long time, maybe now I should go and do it again... I guess I'll come back and make a post here later with my list and my experiences with Touhou, although since I've been on this forum a good while, I'm sure you could dig up such information if you found past...

I think the tldr is "because ZUN doesn't want to have to think about that when writing the story". It's basically like the infamous Ash Ketchum paradox, where he's forever 10 years old for the purposes of keeping Pokemon marketable. This does of course make Akyuu stick out like a sore thumb...

That is... confusing. Can you at least get on to itch.io?

OMG YOU MADE ART FOR THIS TOO?

Allow me to also welcome you as someone who isn't new to the forum. Hope you have a nice time here!

Wheelchair Okina is canon.

Hey all! If anyone here remembers the post I made some weeks back about an upcoming game jam, here's the result of that! This game is a submission for Touhou Fan Game Jam 8. The jam duration was 72 hours, and the theme was dreams.  Dream of Ar-card-ia ~ Dreaming of the Perfect Deck is a...

Eyyy, fellow UK fan! As for my experience with Touhou fans in England, I don't know any people personally in my country who are Touhou fans, but occasionally at anime/JP-related events I've seen a Touhou cosplayer or 2. That doesn't happen often, though. There are also Touhou fans I've seen on...

I'm going to miss seeing you around Jssf, I want you to know that I have greatly enjoyed my time with you on this site, and that I have always respected you for your commitment to the website for so long. Without you the remix tournaments would never have started, and that is sure to be a...

Despite all my grievances with Gouyoku Ibun, the soundtrack does of course absolutely slap... you didn't need me to tell you that, though.

I had never considered what languages Yukari could speak, but now you bring it up I'm sure Yukari must be all kinds of multilingual simply on the account of her humongous brain. She can do all kinds of absurd mathematics, beyond even what Ran can do, and she's already leagues smarter than most...

As others have said, I think the loose kimono works well for Yuugi. And besides, this is the person who can fight without spilling a single drop of sake form her dish, I really don't think this would be a problem for her. Also, context! Yuugi is at a hot spring wearing those clothes, and...

I can't remember the source, but Meiling without trousers that's what they're called where I come from OK was confirmed by ZUN, rather recently I believe, to be how she actually appears originally is EoSD (you just can't see it because the portrait stops above the waist), this explains why she...
