Personally, i think Touhou 7 is the best designed, but only because it feels the most traditional out of the games, it has things that make it different, but it does those things well, and the spellcards are fun too me, though all of them feel really similar. 

As a fellow JRPG lover, Persona is based, I haven't played dragon quest yet. Mario 64 is one of my favourites too!! I was born too late to experience it when it launched. But i love it too. I have a boxed copy on my desk actually. Did you hear about the persona games being ported??? Im so happy...

I am also into 16 bit games, especially chrono trigger on SNES, fantastic game, i like some 8-bit games too, but not as many. And I like to think that this has been a really productive discussion that has been good for all parties. And im really happy that you think so as well ♡

It's what it says on the tin. For me personally I'd say Twewy/しばらしきこのせかい because it's a really unique game, I've never seen any JRPGs like it before, unfortunately the DS game is quite rare and quite costly so :(

The fashion style is definitely unique, but it's been that way since the start of the series. Perhaps it's because ZUN wanted the game to stand out so people would vuy hil as the games were made to promote his music so it would make sense that he would want to keep the games special and unique...

I think it would work well in a like of card game, which could be gacha, but touhou directly to gacha wouldn't work, the card game could work better though, it just feels more suited to touhou, though it's probably  not very original 

I'd be inclined to disagree with touhou 12 at the top, it's never been my favourite, something about it just doesn't feel right to me, but Touhou 10 being at C is also pretty meh, Touhou 15 is definitely my favourite, but overall that's all I'd really change

I haven't really seen this topic be discussed, but the current generation of touhou should be finishing up relatively soon, i would say 18.5 would be the last one but I don't know for sure, if anyone wants to weigh in, feel free to discuss
