Description:​

东方远空界 ~ Ultimate Vitality of Imagination is a LuaSTG touhou fangame spanning 6 main stages, one extra and a True Last Boss.
In terms of playable shot types you have three characters with two shot types each:


Hakurei Reimu : (Easier to play as, small hitbox and larger graze range.)
Type A: Spell Card is (Spirit Sign "Fantasy Seal")
Typical ReimuA, very similar to Touhou 7 where focusing shoots out large homing talismans. Nothing to really write home about.

Type B: Spell Card is (Divine Relic "Descent of Yin-Yang Pearls")
Reimu's options have an interesting quirk; they trail her movement like how would follow-type options act, but they're positioned at the utmost top of the screen, shooting down on enemies. Although without them, Reimu's output is rather lacking since she's only shooting basic talismans.



Kirisame Marisa: (Firepower Gallore, Lower PoC line than the rest.)
Type A: Spell Card is (Love Sign "Master Spark")
Typical MarisaA. Her lasers are her strongsuit, spreading out when unfocused and converging into one line of firepower when focused. Again nothing to really write home about.

Type B: Spell Card is (Magic Sign "Stardust Reverie")
Her unfocused shot is wide and her focused shot is wider but during either of them she shoots out white balls that are meant to be bombs. They detonate when shifting between focus and unfocus. You can dish out a lot of damage when done right so use that!



Shameimaru Aya: (Fastest of the bunch, Limit gauge costs less.)
Type A: Spell Card is (Blockade Sign "Terukumi Shining Through Heaven and Earth")
During unfocus shot, Aya has access to 2 groups of crows covering her sides, while the main shot forks out at around half screen when no one is in reach. Focusing makes it so all the crows join together into one concentrated shot that deals good damage.

Type B: Spell Card is (Wind Sign "Fan-Shaped Tengu Gust")
In addition to her main shot, Aya shoots out straight bullets with similar properties to Marisa's Missiles. When transitioning from unfocus to focus those bullets gain the ability to lock onto targets by turning blue.

Limit Gauge System:​

Exclusive to this game is the implementation of a gauge called the "Limit Gauge". This gauge increases from level 0 to 7 and activating it via the release key (normally the C key) causes these effects:

• First, a circle appears at the center of the player's character; the size and duration of said circle depends on the level that the gauge was activated at.
• During this state, any item that enters this circle gets converted into "limit life" which increases your life gauge. When that gauge gets full you get an extend.
• Additionally, any bullet that that gets inside the circle and gets cancelled by its deactivation gets converted into "limit fragments" which increases your bomb gauge. When that gauge is full you get a bomb.
• Bombing or missing will deactivate the Limit Mode, you can also manually deactivate it by pressing the release key.

The True Last Boss can only be encountered by finding and collecting 9 or more hidden items; for more information about the scoring system and how the game works please check the omake text.
