The game is notable for using digitized sprites mostly based on filmed actors, as opposed to drawn graphics, from Higurashi no Naku and Touhou Project. Tsuzuki Sono 2 plays almost similar to Capcom's fighting games; The player engages opponents in one-on-one close quarter combat in a series of best-two-out-of-three matches. When player performs regular and special techniques the Super Combo gauge fills in and when the gauge reaches Level 1 or higher the player can perform a super move. New to Tsuzuki Sono 2 is Training Mode as well additional characters with a total of 45 characters.
