TOUHOU GENSOU MAHJONG [LAN fix]

LAN Setup:​

Many thanks to superloft7 for his LAN fix, this allows you to host and join rooms without the need for a master server. Normally it's a LAN only workaround but you can play online using these steps:

1. Grab a VLAN service, either Hamachi Radmin or Zerotier. Zerotier was used for testing but Radmin has an easier interface to work with.​
2. You want to connect to the person you wanna play, so using your service establish a connection between you and the other person. Each service listed has its own way so no need to go into detail.​
3. Extract the archive that you downloaded from this page, opening the GENSOU MAHJONG folder will give you two subfolders and 3 executables:​
   • The Profile Editor allows you to edit the name and profile picture of your emulated steam account. You won't really need a picture for this game so just change the name to something you'd like.​
   • The LAN Launcher allows you to actually host and join sessions, you'd wanna use this.​
   • If you (for some reason) wanted to play alone, the offline exe is avaliable.​
4. Open the LAN launcher, here you can host and join your matches:​
   • For Hosting:​
     • Choose the network adapter that you'd use; Radmin for Radmin, etc...​
     • You local IP address will be shown right next to the adapter's name, this is what the other person will need to join. To verify if both of you are connected the other person might need to ping that address (open cmd, type ping xx.xxx.xxx.xx), if traffic is moving around then you're good to go.
       NOTE: If you're using Radmin or Hamachi, make sure NAT/UPnP is OPEN, Zerotier skips the NAT layer so you don't need to do that there!​
     • The host will then need to click the "Host & Play" button, load in Gensou Mahjong, then make a room by going to "Network Match > Create a game room". It's recommended to add in a password to your room so that the others can join using "Find rooms with lobby password"​
     • If all goes well, the host will make the room, and the others should join in using the password. Now you can play a chinese board game but it's touhou so people flock to it like cattle without spending a dime!​
   • For Joining:​
     • You can skip half the steps by just inputing the local IP that the host gives to you. The game will then load, just go to "Network Match > Find rooms with lobby password" and put in the host's password. Again make sure the IP is PINGABLE in the first place, if it can't be pinged then there's a problem with your VLAN setup!​
     • You'll then be connected if everything goes well.​

Touhou Gensou Mahjong is a 4-player/3-player mahjong game featuring a total of over 120 characters from over 20 successive Touhou Project titles.
The game includes not only simple serious games, but also with irregular rules and "cheating" that make full use of the characters' abilities,
There are more than 20 types of mahjong tables with various rules that imaginated from the original Touhou games!

These various game scenes are beautifully decorated by more than 150 illustrators and arrangers, and the game is filled with the unique charm of the original work.

• Based on general Mahjong according to "Japanese Riichi Mahjong",
  Each character has special abilities and special rules for each mahjong table.
  The game offers a rich variety of games that are different from regular Mahjong!
• The game features tables that reproduce today's "competitive mahjong rules," as well as a variety of rules based on "local rules," reproductions of the "inflation rules" used in TV broadcasts, the original "high point rule" with red dora multipliers, and the forbidden Aotenjou (=no "mangan" limit) rule!

All popular characters from the past "Touhou Project" appear in the game!
All characters have different special abilities, and you can use them to your advantage in the game.
From easy-to-use characters suitable for beginners to characters that can turn the tables on you, find your favorite character to suit your style of play!

• Cirno's Mahjong Lesson
  
  • Even if you are a mahjong beginner, don't worry!
    Join Cirno, her friends, and teacher Keine Kamihirasawa as they study Mahjong together, which also serves as a tutorial for the game!
    This mode starts with a simplified version of the regular mahjong rules, "Seven-Tiles Mahjong," and will carefully explain everything from how to make an agari-shape and hands.

• Adventure Mode
  
  • This is a single player mode in which players complete various mahjong missions in the entire Gensoukyou.
  • Play against all the characters in the game and solve the mystery of the mahjong table that suddenly appears in Gensoukyou!

The music for the games has been newly written by a total of fifteen gorgeous artists!

• Free Versus Mode
  
  • You can set various rules and enjoy playing freely against the CPU.
  • You can also use it to research the rules for each mahjong table and the special abilities of each character.

All of the characters in the game have been newly drawn for this title!
Over 100 illustrators, including well-known artists active in the field of Toho Project secondary works, have participated in the game!




Each mahjong table has its own background music!
Sound tracks feature Butaotome, SOUND HOLIC, A-One, and Shinra Bansyo, which are well-known music circles for their Touhou arrangements,
and also, Manabu Namiki, Hiroyuki Kawada, Shade, COSIO, and many other legendary creators active at various arcade and home video games!
