Phantasm Romance -幻想浪漫紀行- (Gensou Rouman Kikou, "Fantasy Romance Travel Log") is a Touhou fan game made by Len in Danmakufu released on 2009-03-11
The game spans six regular stages as well as four extra stages which the player must unlock via special methods. Unique to Phantasm Romance, enemies do not drop items while a bomb is active, and reaching certain graze values will erase all bullets onscreen.
Extra 1 is played between stages 3 and 4. It is unlocked by clearing the first three stages while using up no more than 5 lives and bombs (Normal), or 6 lives and bombs (Another). Beating this unlocks what is known as the extra route.
Extra 2 replaces stage 5 and is only available in Another mode. It is unlocked after beating stage 4, if extra 1 has also been cleared.
Extra 3 and 4 act as true final levels, and thus begin after stage 6. They are unlocked if extra 1 has been cleared, at least 3600 point items have been collected, and at least 3 lives are remaining. Either stage can be chosen after stage 6, but they cannot both be accessed in the same run.
All bullets on screen are deleted when the graze counter reaches a multiple of 250. This does not happen during spell cards or during the block portions of stage 5 and extra 4.
Extra lives are granted when certain numbers of point items are collected, so it's important to collect as many as you can. The numbers needed are as follows: 180⇒400⇒700⇒1024⇒1400⇒1800⇒2222⇒2640⇒3133⇒3600⇒4800⇒6000⇒7500⇒9000⇒9999
