AFAIK it gets higher from time to time when something happens in the "featured".
 
Agreed. At least for logged in users. I want the section that is changing and updating the most to be at the top because it is the most likely to have new stuff whenever I come to the site. Unless there is some algorithm determining what is on top that I'm ignorant of.

I literally see no problem with where it's at now, doesn't even take an entire second to scroll down to where it is from the main page. Quit being so goddamn lazy.

You mean starting a thread to ask a question that's already been asked 2-3 times by people just like you? There's a difference between 'keeping the forums lively' and spamming them with a bunch of bullshit nobody cares about. I'm sure the site will do just fine without you trying to be the main character.

1. These questions aren't asked so frequently so it's not spamming
2. If nobody cared then there would be nobody interacting with it
3. im not trying to be "the main character", posting a thread once a day isn't a crime, nor does it make me tryna be the main character, your statement makes no sense at all
4. it's better to post a thread once a day than to be like you and to be a jerk who is just toxic under nearly every thread you interact with
