Favorite Touhous??

I'm surprised I didn't reply to this
but I'm unsure of my answers
-1 "What's your favorite Touhou game?"
for the games I like touhou 5 Mystic Square I think it's the easiest game I've played so far it's pretty fun
Fun to see how zun recycles ideas from the older games to the newer games
I like touhou 8
Imperishable Night

-2 "your favorite Touhou song?"
Not sure

-3 "Who's your favorite Character?"

Probably reimu? She seems interesting At least from what I've heard about her character protecting humans from Yokai's when she is friends with Yokai's
that contradiction makes her interesting
Byakuren Hijiri is cool too

Flandre was fun to research Into
Water being able to weaken her is interesting

For most characters I don't have a strong emotional connection to them as some other people appear to have
I'm not sure what that says about me or other people

Mystic Square is my favorite of the PC-98 Touhou games. Mainly because it has playable Mima and Yuuka and has the Shinki.

for song, i love romantic children so much. it's such a sad and beautiful song, i think it's one of zun's best pieces yet.
for game, th08 is great. i love the cast, the music, the gameplay, and last words were a fun addition.
for character, my goat bunny reisen. she is a perfect mix of cute and badassery with her backstory and how she has military experience. shes also fun af to play in 15.5.

I'm too indecisive to pick one Touhou song, but among my favorites are Emotional Skyscraper ~ Cosmic Mind, Last Occultism ~ Esoterecist of the Present World, Maiden's Capriccio ～ Dream Battle, and Illusionary Night ~ Ghostly Eyes.

I've only played Touhou 7 so far, but I plan to play all of them. 8 and 11 have my favorite casts of characters, but I'll see if the gameplay holds up.

My favorite character is a tie between Youmu and Eirin, with Sumireko, Reimu, Byakuren, and Yorihime as runner-ups.

Romantic Children is such a good song, I get you there! And I totally agree with both of your last opinions, Touhou 8 is such a loveable game, and so is Reisen!

I understand your indecisiveness, lol, especially with Touhou. Anywho, Touhou 7 is great! and so are all those songs and characters, peak!!
 
Another month, another one of these threads. Regardless:

1) Best song is Kobito of the Shining Needle ~ Little Princess; Great instrumentation and composition that feels worthy of a final boss. Other songs I quite like include Emotional Skyscraper ~ Cosmic Mind and Green-Eyed Jealousy.

2) Best game is Touhou Chireiden ~ Subterranean Animism. It's considered the third hardest game in the series behind UFO and LoLK but also comes with a fantastic cast of characters and the best game soundtrack from what I've played so far. The gimmick of the communication gauge is unintrusive if you don't want to play with it, but very rewarding if you graze to max it out and auto collect everything on screen. Touhou Youyoumu ~ Perfect Cherry Blossom comes as a close second with my personal favorite cast of characters and a rather fair difficulty that makes it easy to go back to.

3) The profile gives it away, but Yuyuko is my favorite character. Yukari and Shinmyoumaru make up the rest of the top three; Honorable mentions include Ran, Eirin, Patchouli, Suika, Parsee, Mokou, and many others I could rattle off.

Such good picks! I think Kobito of the Shining Needle is one of the best final stage themes because of how great it fits Shinmyoumaru, behind Mystic Sect. of Solar System ofc, lol. Anywho, I also think SA is the best Touhou game, I absolutely adore the cast too, and spellcards. And as for Yuyko, she's such a cool character. Not my favorite, but understandable

Absolutely agree with you! I also had forgotten before to mention that Kobito of the Shining Needle and Yuyuko are both among my favorites (along with DDC itself being among my favorite Touhou games). Yeah, I have a ton of favorites. lol
 
Fav Song - Strawberry Crisis just cuz it's Yumemi's theme, there's no other reason since almost all Touhou songs are my fav
Fav Game - Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream (Touhou 3), the game with the most playable characters, and it's just the most fun for me, also most unique gameplay among official works, i also like the fact that you and npc have the same gameplay
Fav Character - Yumemi Okazaki, she is literally me

And to answer this:

My favorite song is Kobito of The Shining Needle - It's a little hard to explain, but the song gives me motivation. And it sounds amazing, feels like the turning point in a story against the villain, especially in THE PART.

My favorite game is probably 14 - it's the first Touhou game I've played out of the two I have so far. (14 and 17.5) So I have a personal bias towards it; great songs, cool mechanic, and funky characters. (Especially Seija and Sekibanki)

My favorite character is Utsuho Reiuji - Despite what you may think. She is leagues ahead of Evil Eye Sigma; amazing design, awesome ability, perfect pretty much everything. I adore her so much.

I'm guessing I was among the first to see that guy post those spam links, so I reported them immediately. (I just hope that if the guy was hacked, that he'll be able to get his account back.)

Also, Kobito of the Shining Needle, but especially with Pristine Beat in the extra stage are among my absolute favorite Touhou themes! And of course, as I've mentioned before, DDC is among my favorite Touhou games. ;)
Mainly because of DDC's music, mechanics and story.
Utsuho's design is also probably among ZUN's absolute best, so I can see why you'd pick her!
