What is not working?

th09.exe is the Japanese executable, th09e would be the English one.

All of the official games are virus free. You might see a few hits on Virustotal (though none from any reputable scanners) but those appear on the Steam versions too

You can open custom.exe in the th14 folder to change the settings. Alternatively, I think Alt+Enter should exit you out of fullscreen too.

Have you tried alt+enter? otherwise there might be some options in the settings in the game too iirc

Seems like you're missing DirectX 9, installing that should fix the error.

Are you launching the game directly or are you using the Touhou lanucher?

be more specific. any errors? game doesn't launch at all? zip file empty? too young to get a job?
