They made his eyes super cool in Half-Life: Alyx, I love the way they glow. His HLA model is great, it both looks and doesn't look like him. I actually made something for myself as a reference for drawing, but here's a comparison of his models (I found the images on Reddit, I just merged the 2). And about Gmod, yeah, it can get really scary. The first time I played it I had to spawn Touhou NPCs because it felt like someone was there... Aaah, thank you once again! :D I still have tons of stuff to learn and to practice, but I sure as hell won't give up, I have been drawing for like 5 years, and I don't plan on giving up anytime soon. And it is amazing, that concept art. That's why I love video games, everything about them is beautiful. I know I'm talking about Half-Life now, but I want to show you some areas in some games that are great as well. Another favorite game of mine is Celeste. It's a platformer, and it's pixel art styled, but the areas in that game are breathtaking. The first time I got to these 2 levels, I had to stop playing the game so that I could just... Appreciate it all. It's really beautiful~

Hmmm.. I don't have much standalone songs, but I can talk about bands. The ones I listen to the most are Pink Floyd and Queen, with PF being the one I listen to the most. I have 3 of their albums, The Dark Side of the Moon (Both on CD and vinyl, the vinyl comes with cool posters!!), The Wall, which I got as a gift, and Animals (one of the best albums I've ever heard). I plan on getting Meddle next. There's something about PF that really struck my chords... Dark Side especially, despite the fact that the album talks about existing, and other parts of life it's extremely relaxing, to me at least. I love the guitar bends on "Breathe (In the Air)", the psychedelic sound of "Any Colour You Like" (my favorite track on the album) and the sadness of "Brain Damage/Eclipse". The Wall is an album that I listened to a lot as well, especially when I felt bad. There was some comfort in listening to "One of My Turns", which is my favorite track on The Wall. I did sometimes feel like building a wall around myself, to protect myself from the harsh feelings I sometimes felt, but it's not worth it, don't do that. and of course, who can forget about Another Brick in the Wall Part 2? xddd Animals, while I don't see it as personal as Dark Side and The Wall, is still amazing. The intro to "Dogs" melted my ears from how good it sounds. The dreamlike guitar chords with some synths is the perfect sound for me. I listened to "Dogs" a lot last year, and I like listening to it during rainy weather, but the type of rainy weather where the sun still shines through. Although, I do prefer the earlier version of "Dogs", called "You've Got To Be Crazy", to the final version. Fun fact, I actually saw Nick Mason (Pink Floyd's drummer) in June!! It was such an amazing concert, I wish I could go there again... As for Queen, I listened to them mostly at the end of 2018. I wasn't really a huge super fan of the like I am with Pink Floyd now. I guess PF just Speak(s) to Me more xddd Queen does make me feel nostalgic for that year, it was so much better back then.. :(

Oh I actually like it now! I finished HL1 in November, and I finished it in like 2 days, which means I spent my whole damn weekend just playing HL1 to the point I could see it and PLAY IT when I closed my eyes LMAO I started playing Opposing Force, but I never finished it because it's kinda boring I have tons of work to do. Yesss, please play ittt, it's awesome Yeee, but tbh, I never really got scared by him... I always found him cool and menacing, but never really creepy, I always loved seeing sightings of him in HL2, and I love a HL2 beta map in which he appears in (which is kinda creepy to a degree, it's called "hazard01" if you're curious). The only time I ever really got scared by him was when I played Gmod, I forget that I have an addon which just spawns him at random places in the map you are in, so when I was posing some ragdolls once, and I randomly heard FOOTSTEPS, you can guess that I was fucking shitting myself from how scared I was lmao Thank you so much! One of the things I'm really proud of is that I drew that without a sketch, so I just started blocking in the colours and then put a gradient over it. Half-Life is one of the biggest reasons why I want to pursue game art as a career. Thankfully, in my country, there is a uni with that path as an option, so I will probably go there xd I mean, just look at the HL2 concept art: Some NPC art as well...: Yeah, see why I wanna be a concept artist now? (btw, that's how Alyx looked back then!) Also, the Half Life 2: Episode 3 stuff is great as well. Even if we didn't get that game. (for some reason it won't display images.. oh well) But yeaaah, I kinda went on a personal ramble there, didn't I? xd I'll check it out. Like I said, I did see some scenes and they made me go bLEERGH I do want to check the games out, especially since it seems they're focused on sound, and I like that kind of stuff xd

Oh man, Higurashi... I really want to play this game, I don't want to watch the anime because some scenes just flip my stomach around, but it seems really interesting, don't really understand anything about it so far tho xddd Meanwhile, for me, what has been rotting my brain for the past few months is Half-Life. I played the game for the first time back in July, and since then, I've been hooked. I actually didn't finish HL1 the first time, I didn't really like it ^^; so I skipped it and went straight to HL2, which really cemented my love for the series. (and I will admit, Half-Life is the reason I'm not as active here as I was before. Once my brain sees something it likes, it hangs to it like a parasite. Soooo..........) I love the characters, the plot, the atmosphere... The atmosphere is my favorite part of the games, especially in HL2. I played the HL2 beta as well, and goddamn, it's even better there. Seeing the concept art for HL2 made me realize just how much I want to pursue being an artist. My favorite character from Half-Life is the G-Man, no idea why. However, Alyx Vance and Dr Isaac Kleiner are close contestants as well. Hell, I was G-Man for Halloween as well! It was such a fun time :D I could talk about Half-Life for hours honestly, but I'll just spam the thread then, if I do ^^;;;; Here's some fanart I did.

Yess I agree so much lol I miss the old Touhou style, especially from The Seihou - Touhou 9 era, it looked warm, fuzzy, nostalgic, handdrawn.... That Seihou Yuuka I posted looks so warm, even the green (which is usually grouped with the cold colors, like blue and purple), looks warm! It's great, I really wish he still had that style, even though the newer one is heaps better.

Oh man, this is a really hard one.. As you probably might know, I am a certified Zun artstyle enjoyer, so this is a really hard question for me ^^; But anything from Touhou 1 to 9.5 is a go to answer for me.. With a few modern games sprinkled throughout. Here are some of my favorites, there's a lot that I like but these ones are really cute!

Dw, you didn't say anything wrong. Honestly, like you said, yeah, bullet hell on mobile CAN work. I played some fangames on my phone, especially when I first got into Touhou. It's really on Zun if he wants to make it or not, but time will only tell if he wants to, there's an official licensed Touhou CAVE game coming up, so maybe look forward towards that?

Oh no, I'm really sorry about all of this Count... I really do hope you find yourself in life, please take it easy, you're still pretty young and I can't even imagine how hard it must be for you now, but I'm sure you can make it through this. I can see that you have tons of determination to study history and I'm sure you will find a job in that field. And as for your parents, I'm really sorry that they're like that. :( They should always be here to motivate their child, and not to get sick of you... I'm really glad that you won't do that, and that you will fight, I really mean it. Like I said, you're still young, and there's so much up ahead of you, and feeling lost is, well, "normal" to say the least, for young people (Hell, I have been feeling lost these past few days as well). I am very excited about the minigame, I like how it looks and I could always use some more gameplay modes here. I am also glad that EFes is now sparkable! I sure as hell don't have enough SC for them, but it's still a very nice thing to have. I want Beach Marisaaaaa....... Huh, also, is it just me, or are retros slowing down a bit? I haven't seen them announced in a while.. I do kinda miss them, I like the retros. Also, glad that we will have free prayers, I could really use not spending my SC on stuff xd

Oh man, it's happening again huh. Tbh, I don't really care for Fusu posting, since I'm not really on Reddit (I don't honestly like the Touhou sub), but it's interesting to see what people think of it. To me, while Fusu art does look nice, it's super repetitive. Just like Cana said here. Even the expressions, they're all the same.. I do, however, like the new "Fusu style" artist that Circus has been posting. I think that it's pretty accurate as to what each Touhou would say if they were asked those questions. Honestly, I wish those PoV types of images would just be banished from r/Touhou, there are so many better fanarts that deserve recognition.

Honestly, I'd love for TLW to be on Steam, since I'm more on my laptop than on my phone. Chance? Didn't the JP branch announce once that we will be getting PC-98 Rei and Mari? I do agree with this, the main story, while interesting, is kinda hard for me to read. It's not like that I can't understand the words, it's just that I probably can't immediately piece it together in my head, and I need external sources to get it all right. Maybe it's because things happen too fast/too slow. Also, I kinda don't want a collab for TLW... I'd just like for things to stay fully Touhou, What's the point of the costumes then? Apart from making the drop rate bigger for point events. Most of the L1 friends are average, and not worth putting in a team, unless you're doing it for a challenge. To me, this AMA seemed like they want to improve on the game, but also it just seems a bit shady, if you get what I mean.

If I were to put my thoughts on it, I'd say that I'm actually kinda mad at these results.. Something from EoSD is literally the first place, Flan is the #1 character, UN Owen is the #1 song and EoSD itself is #1 in works. I'm not so mad at the works tab, hell, even I voted for EoSD since it is my favorite game in the series, but holy shit is it overrated. Like yeah, I get it, it's the game that brought Touhou to the west yadda yadda, but holy fuck give some recognition to the other characters and songs my god Like yeah, I like UN Owen as much as the next guy but it can be so fuckin' eargrating sometimes, I'm guess I'm just tired of the Scarlet Sisters, and the EoSD cast as a whole (except for Meiling, I love Meiling :3)

Even TLW's beach costumes are tame compared to these games (I still want the captain Ran costume....). Also, I didn't know that Guardian Tales got into this trope as well. I think that there's still gonna be some outrageous updates done to TLW, but at this point, I'm sure you're fed up with all this stupid shit that TLW does. It's super sad that the good games can't live long enough, I think both Cannonball and DanKagu lasted for about a year, and TLW is still.. Somehow going strong. And I don't even know what's happening to Arcadia Records. It's a shame really, how these days it seems like people only care for lewdest stuff. And it's even more sad that these games are becoming lost media. I really wish that the gacha industry was better, or, an even better approach, that it didn't even exist.
