The main gameplay remains the same, the player begins the game with only one party and gradually recruits more party members during the course of the game. The player controls their parties as they move in the dungeons, search treasure chests and randomly encounter monsters. To complete the game, you have to reach the deepest floor in the last dungeon, the player must fight monsters to improve the characters' experience levels and get money to buy better equipments. Similar to the previous installment, players are also able to merge any obtained items if possible. Players need to use their resources wisely and organize appropriate team members to complete all dungeons.

Satori no Dungeon Oukoku, literally translated as Dungeon Kingdom of Satori, is a multi-tasking simulation role playing game developed by コココソフト which was released at Reitaisai 10, on May 26, 2013. In Satori no Dungeon Oukoku the player controls a party of characters that can walk into towns and buy equipments to defeat monsters outside town or in a dungeon. There are 100 dungeons that can be explored in a tile-based system with randomly hidden enemies and items in each tile. Players need to use their resources wisely and organize appropriate team members to complete them. Once the party defeats the enemies by winning the battle, each party member gains experience points in order to reach new levels. Winning battles also rewards players with gold which can be used to purchase items, but the player is also able to merge any obtained items if possible.

Fushigi no Dai Bouken Chiruno Kenzan!, literally translated as Cirno's Great Mystery Adventure!, is a roguelike game created by クロスロッジ and the first game in the series. The main character of the game is Cirno who must investigate an incident that made her friends disappear. The gameplay is similar to Fushigi no Gensokyo series, the main similarity is the heavy use of randomized dungeons and effects, while Cirno explores a randomly generated dungeon using real time moves, she collects items, fights monsters and if she leaves the dungeon, she can sell off the items she found. Cirno may also earn money by completing various tasks and mini games.

While Hatate explores the dungeon, she collects items and fights monsters by shooting enemies and if she can get a photo, she can embody the subject by using the picture. The embodied character can fight together as a partner, however, the player can not realize entities or characters whose realities already exist on that floor.

Touhou Battle Raiders is a strategy RPG developed by four doujin circles; Hachimitsu Kumasan, AQUA STYLE, Strawberry Bose and Kanagawa Denshi Gijutsu Kenkyuujo. Through the campaign, the player retains control of four characters, across a battlefield against hordes of enemy forces in real-time with boss battles at the end of each round. In the campaign the player must complete the main objective to proceed to the next chapter, but there are also optional routes which can be completed alongside the main quests with rare items as reward. In between battles, players can access their characters to equip them with purchased goods or items gained from previous adventures.

Touhou Chemuburemu (東方ちぇむぶれむ, lit. "EastChemblem") is a Touhou Project fangame released by ちゆうどう (Chiyuudou). Very similar to a Fire Emblem game, most notably Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.

As Chen, you control an army of units, which you must lead to victory. Each character levels up and gains stats, based on random chance. Furthermore, each unit is restricted to use a certain class of items, like bows, swords, axes. Upon class change (reached at lvl 20), they gain the ability to use a second class, different from their main.

All units have their strengths and weakness, which other units can exploit. It is crucial for the player knowing about the differences between classes and items.

The combat system is based on stats, as well on certain advantages or disadvantages such as the weapon triangle or terrain bonuses.

The gameplay is largely unchanged; the player place different types of dolls, each with their own unique offensive or defensive capabilities, in order to stop a horde of enemies from reaching the shop. The player starts with a limited number of dolls, but in later levels players can purchase upgrades with different offensive and defensive abilities with in-game money. The game is divided into several turns and at higher levels enemies have longer turns, making the challenge even harder.

 Fantasy Maiden Wars Dream AKA Gensou Shoujo Taisen Yume is the fourth as well as the final game of the series. The fourth part retells the story of Undefined Fantastic Object, Mystic Square, and an original arc loosely based on Yumetagae Kagaku Seiki - Changeability of Strange Dream, a doujin album by Team Shanghai Alice which was released on 2004. The main gameplay remains the same, the game follows a basic structure of Super Robot Wars; the character receives introductory dialogue and leading to the scenario on the battlefield. Battles take place on a grid-based battlefield, with additional mechanics for danmaku, bombs and spell cards, with turns being given for players and enemies. Player can transfer save data from the third game, Gensou Shoujo Taisen Ei (Eternal), allowing player to retain items, upgrades, and database information as well as gain some bonuses.
