  1. 7: dBu Music - Unhuman Variations: Why did I chose this? Short Answer: It's because it sounded like megaman. Long Answer: This particular remix made me ride a stream of roller-coaster of emotions. The transitions jumping back and forth to retro, too traditional, and folk? The instruments changes every so often with each minute the weigh behind this arrangement deepens. (Pardon my inability to deduce what instruments were used) To me, they don't feel forced thus, flows really well. The taiko finish at the end really seals the deal and Mamizou theme being one of my favorite really shines in this tournament. At 4:00 things started heating up; this one doesn't pull punches. AYE! Brilliant 8.5/10 8: Komeji Records - Youmu at the End: This truly came out of a movie the build up, the roar, the marching drums. It's one of the finest pieces I've heard this weekend. Wait, is that Rain? The ambience really shine at the quarter part of the arrangement; the rain really add and the drums came back once more for one final push. Lads, this right here is the endgame accompanied by percussions, a trumpet to aid the majestic feeling. My Blood has been boiled once more as the unusuality was brought to joy by the somber music box. Yin and Yang truly strike once more leaving it a fair 9.5. 9: ZYTOKINE - The Illness Approaching You - Edelritter Remix: Well, now this is a remix indeed but yeah, I needed to rest my ears. Everything else is nice; tempo is like an energetic monkey. (I'm sick at this moment aye, I've nothing in my mind to add) Very much a surprise 7.5/10

His known favorite characters in Touhou are Hieda no Akyu as well as Eiki Shiki, Yamaxanad; he is also seen writing thread with big font usually 16 in size to make ease in the readers' eyes back in March 2022; A Romanian lad who speaks like a gentleman in polite yet elegant manner. The Arrival On 2022 March 5th, he joined the Moriya Shrine site not to download games but to discuss about one of his favorite series, Touhou project. In that day, he wrote out a carefully thought out thread covering Curiosities about fashion in Gensokyo. It was a very strong start as he had caught attention of the regulars of the Moriya Shrine forum. It will be a special day for the said place from that day forwards. Threads That Haven't Got Much Traction (Excluding some few ones) Retrospective 2021 : Bringing the points out in 2021 Touhou community about games, music and so on. Any opinion and ideas are welcomed on this thread. Still haven't spark any discussion to this day. (Edit: Another Member Of The Community has posted a reply on said thread making it officially that CountVonNumenor has no more abandoned threads.) What are your favorite Touhou M-1 Grand Prix skit(s)?: Although it had been his second post that didn't get any reply after a month, the author made a post there, it gained traction but slowed down ever since. One year into Touhou - How one fell down the rabbit hole: Truly a journey of one who had fallen into the rabbit hole Touhou; It is a very interesting trip to read through. Gensokyo Mystery Zone - Misty Lake - Moriya Shrine : It's a shame that it has ended so soon without much discussion as the potential for this thread to grow as big as the "Official Random Thread " (A bit of an understatement) and last but not definitely least, What do people from outside the community think about Touhou: A very worthwhile thread to start a discussion. (He was seen using two emojis) Author's Notes I really appreciate the lad, Numenor he's very much like a friend to anyone here, making the site brighten. If not for him I doubt that I would be here sooner or later but he might as well be bringing and motivating newcomers to the shrine. I'm very grateful to him for bringing life to this place. "Thank you from the bottom my of heart, brother." This page was last edited on 12 June 13:37, Current UTC.
  3. 4: Rolling Contact - Lunatic Vengeance: 1. Not bad not bad at all, really like the electro feels, I haven't seen any in a while. (I was exposed to Mike's theme first) Now, the intro and end has massive weight behind 'em like the original. Very refreshing to listen as this does feel very unique from your average joe remix. Voice Samples, Goosebumps triggering instrumentals and syncs with said samples. (If only it had a natural flow, I would rate higher) Overall, I give it a fair 7/10 5: Ottori - Myon Rag Fever: 2. I was starting to feel rustic piano from the beginning but all of these instruments blends together and makes me feel like I owned a ranch in a steampunk era while adventures set upon. And there's this dreamy feel with cowbells accompanying only to sound a bit modernish.(Need to enhance the piano slightly also, why not more cowbells) Alright, this's 7.5/10 6: Composer for The Mystery of Gensokyo - Nostalgic Blood of the East ~ Old World Sounds upbeat and wait a game ost? I'll take the percussion everyday. Although, the loop felt cut off sure, it left a mysterious impression. Aye, let me give this a 7/10 I'm the last to comment also, why is my rating almost the same as each other? (Like DrunkenFlower's) Oh well, now Ken can start the third round.
  4. From the album: Onigama Gou's Storage full of References

So, have you ever wondered how a lady look when she wakes up while forgetting which dress to choose; Aye, you've seen it now. I partly forgot how she looks like yet managed to her give a long coat. Was captured when someone lad was telling a story about dreams of a king
  5. From the album: Onigama Gou's Storage full of References

As the title said, it was raining heavily. Then it reminded me of a lad who likes frog so, I give her a record in my unusual book of Onigama Gou.
  6. From the album: Onigama Gou's Storage full of References

Originally I was bored while our history repeats itself for the 4th time and for inspiring a fellow artist at my class, I drew this piece without remembering most of Zun designs, let's say those above were slightly altered by your lad Gou.
  7. Gou the frog

    ChiruCan

From the album: Onigama Gou's Storage full of References

Ah, summer wait no it isn't but you can enjoy a fresh can of Icy special. Random though that has crossed my mind in school.
  8. From the album: Onigama Gou's Storage full of References

Alright, the second one I've done while the teachers are handling paperwork about new students. Well, it does fits with the situation quite a lot as I'm impressed about myself for remembering how she looks. (There's that random pose practice in the background almost similar looking as me)
  9. I don't know but old is gold lads. (With some ero beat feels)
  10. Ken has already posted it but friday hype for me.
  11. (It is. Classical and folk can sound magical. (How did you figure out my music taste in the span of five minutes? I'm quite impressed; add music box and waltz) Oh don't worry, I've a special delivery for the musical thread, almost a week worth of said arrangements and remixes.
  12. (A wild guess, not a fan of jazz and all that classical stuff? But I'm sure you're not that fond of Hip-hop, but you're fond of beat and Pc-98 psytrance; that's is all I can remember from the 17 pages of musical discovery thread imagine if Bskerdog and Ken Husang Joins in)
  13. (This happens once in every three years right? but with newcomers excluding Shionne.)
  14. 1. Always nice to hear percussions on the start of a song, it means either the entire thing is going to be amazing or it's going to score. Ah, also it's the mellow part as Tenko mentioned sounds tad bit out of place but I sense a medieval feeling. (Wait, is has always been medieval sounding) Solid, indeed. 7/10 2. Aye, You can't be too sure. A shame that the rhythm doesn't catch me like it normally did. The word "crowded" honestly fits this band as DrunkenFlower has stated. I might also need to go back a little and rest on ballads. 6/10 3. This tune is too catchy, the vibe it gives off it really hits me in the feels. City? truly is. 8/10
  15. This is interesting indeed, all right, I'll review every one of your episodes in the crossover. Just give me a couple of days.
  16. Hear me out, What if the land structure of Gensokyo changed way before it was sealed? Will the denizens be cut in half or will there be more? Another thought came along with this, instead of mountains what if it was located underwater? It would be troublesome for the yokai to live in but I believe the sages will move it to land. Going to the structure: So, they're going to be just beside an emperor or another human property which is not going to end up good depending on the mood of both sides and from there, we can assume the ambience starts to change in Gensokyo transforming it to Early Edo Japan with samurai yokai, priests and a lot of roughs also, more shrine? But as usual, this setting might affect the balance and freedom of the land. What do you think about this? And what would "change" if things starts to become like an ancient world. (It's already one, but more ancient)
  17. It seems that my memory was not that good; but as you can see this might be what I talked about. (Although I screwed up and this has became another topic but yeah, the one explaining about that is somewhere on the bottom)
  18. Now that you mentioned it, I can't see the "About Me" tab and so, I tested it on another computer but no luck. It might be a bug also yours ain't visible to me either and the same might go for you. (It is now fixed) Another thing, for a month and a half, I believe the url for this site didn't appear in google search only if you type the url itself, then you can access; I was cautious enough to take note down of this place.
  19. A week? Oh, I need to hurry up lads. All right, today is Friday so, I have two more days. Aye, I'll be in this tournament.
  20. I believe so, it's more advantageous for them to remain in their beliefs, taking reference from my religion. As you said, it might seems strange for the residents of Gensokyo exposed to Islam and Judaism; It would be out of place but it works for them. Another thing, to channel the act of your religious practice, you first need a place, caves, forests and some other shelter. (You see this place has everything to create a new god via faith) Hmm... I wonder what will happened when Greek gods and various ancient ones finally sets in the world of Touhou spreading new religions and creating a lot of plot points. (There're some here already) (Unrelated: It would be funny to see an European Legendary creature (Ship) arrives in Gensokyo mid Ashikaga (Muromachi) Period introducing Jesus and Christianity. And Dutch joins the party after Gensokyo was sakoku) But aye, it does feel like it. The Pc-98 Touhou era was very good and those yin yang balls has the same purpose as Humanities (S rank lore attached to an item) Wow, I'm falling behind the discussion ah, you got me fired up so, I'll read the manga some time later. It's very refreshing to see points and yeah, I imagine it would be easier for Christian to integrate. That's is indeed true. It would be very interesting to the lower society perspective with Zun publishing prints works and albums. All right, we'll see it when the time comes. Spot on good sir! Finally, I've met a lad who knows what I'm talking about. History saves the day, Qing dynasty is the best one to study, at least for me even though most of their demise is often caused by internal chaos. (Possible Touhou character inspired from this event?) Quite so, I first thought that female Tanuki were also given massive "gift" but yeah, maybe it was because common sense is missing in land of Gensokyo. There're a lot of unique abilities for youkias, it would be none the wiser for us to decide who is the "strongest" in term of spell cards as we haven't seen a lot of their skills. I.E Oni can do shadow teleportation. (Wait, Sukia already has that in the form of mist; you get the point) (Well, that's Touhou for you being created by a tipsy japanese man) anon doesn't really help in that regards. This is quite confusing for newcomers as there're no clear appearance to determine Touhous as moster girls or yokais. (Fancy Pants!, and hats did not make things easier either) I'm fond of your point especially the one that is in the middle. Also, fanon does two things: They either make Touhou too edgy and grim dark with shadow covering eyes or it's a very nice place and there're no male human aside from you Isaeki harem looking protag who gender is mostly male. Now that reminds me of this MMD covering the life of a villager who has gone mad and had broken thee balance and peace of Gensokyo. Either ways, If you want to make a thread about "Diamond in the rough" and "this" or just simply I'll sent my regards in massage. This does show some "accurate" depiction of Gensokyo showing what will happen when a vilager breaks the balance of Gensokyo. But it rasied me a question: Are they going to get exiled or executed depending on their action or just straight up be a slave for yokai? One of the reasons that the info in Touhou is vague is because Zun let fans to create their own theories and stories. There is or rather was a reddit post that had caught my attention a few months ago explaining "Zun Psychology" discussing about why he decided to keep the lore and character vague" (The thread might be nuked by those ungrateful "Redditors" whom has reported as "non Touhou content" (even if it's covering its creator and characters) It's very interesting to think about, are there gonna be spellcard rule or what will happen to the future of our beloved gods. One way is that one will witness those yokai even if they lost faith for 'em. Just like hell, but here is the problem. People not believing those thing existent automatically get a get out of jail card? Or it's the other way around? Ho, It would be amusing to read such a story about Kanako becoming the goddness of science. (Let's hope there's no fan-made mecha anime although, I would enjoy it.) Aye, I feel the same way about 'em being born in a town and experiencing arcade in another city of my country, Yangon (Rangoon) It was fun and I had my first chicken nugget in another city. (Mawlamyine) So yeah, I felt like a Moldavian shepherd never seeing a roller-coaster. Neither I am, but your point on Meiling is truly correct she would be much closer dragons wait, Sayano's a smoke dragon too. Aye, I do want to see an European Dragon in Gensokyo as it would be truly amazing. So, moving on to greeks, I've heard of that with Apollo appearing and one of suns causing Chang'e's husband death. (Huh? Hon yi is also Junko husband am I right? What? are there two guys named exactly named Hon yi? Another point to add to your thread in OVMJ's reply)Yeah, I'm intruged by your idea of gods (Oh boy, there're gonna a lot of 'em featuring Asian and Western ones) gathering at some spot (Hot spring?) in Gensokyo all and all having a party? You just gave me an idea to draw. One day, we' might even be hanging out on Shimo-Suwa (A dream in a bucket list "Meet A Good Old Friend In your Favorite Spot in Japan Especially One You've Considered a brother" I'm not even joking this's on my bucket list) No worries lad, having a long discussion with you have also deepen my bond with Touhou and I've also gained happiness in return. Aye, this is becoming interesting indeed, pardon me for taking two weeks and a full day to reply Numenor" You're never short on content aren't ya? I'm bloody interested in this stuff. This shall widen my view of Touhou. In return I present you the "history of Japan I guess." (You might already watched this but nonetheless, to refresh our nerdy history minds.) Aye, you have a brilliant point Von, this might be one of the causes of why they look like cute looking girls we adore a great deal. Nothing out of ordinary for the ones in Gensokyo, they had worse such as defending foreign people form moon, let a lose a dull bird of atom and so on.
  21. You know this might be the best time to upload this; Congratulation on your marriage Zun!!!
  22. From the album: Gou-Jii's Shrine Works

From this day, a great man has a special day of his life time, the one who had given us countless memories, made our childhoods and making a memorable series. To this day, one has a huge impact on the earlier generations and upcoming ones, tonight all of the community have gathered to sing a song for that one true man; shouting "CONGRULATION ON YOUR MARRIAGE ZUN" Tears and laughers of are heard throughout that day and one thing is for sure that "We're going to have a unforgettable night full of memories." *Cheers Lads Of Moriya*

    Gou-Jii's Shrine Works

Howdy lads, this is my Shrine Tsumi's Storage. It contains references of this place including its Denizens and Old ones. This could be a very joyful ride that I Gou is getting itself in.
  24. I too am confused as this piece sounds like One-Way Accelerator and I dug up the answer, a quote from this description: So the Og is from TeiShan Amaki's Theme from "Mrs. Estacion" and the arrange one is from Nitori's AfterExtra Stage Theme from "Mountain of Faith" (The current one I posted) And the One-Way Accelerator. (There're quite a few of themes based on a fan song) Aside that, I've stash this: Now for the big question, where does this come from? The circle is kimino-museum and it's also from an album; it's one of the best vocals I've ever heard and the flow is very good. Last but not least @Drunken_Flower will you handle tonight festival for a great man whom had made us who we are today.
  25. Well, my guess might be off but I love your idea about being created recently but if so, Lady Keiki had been fending off those noisy beasts sprits by herself and the garden so I will give another guess, she is younger than the Konfun period somewhere in between actually as I'm not so sure if Haniwa can even age. Very good point that you made, I'm interested in whether her age depends on the statue age or it is on the material's age. Japan has three (An oni, a tengi and a kitsune) and China has four ( Hundun. Hundun, Taotie, Taowu and Qiongqi) Japan and China they are somewhat like pals back in the ancient times and Korean also have their own variant of Kitsune. (Akyuu has the most consistent age in this series)
