  1. Touhou 16: Tenkuushou - Hidden Star in Four Seasons

    Release Information
    Type: Bullet Hell
    Developer: Team Shanghai Alice
    Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice
    Release: Comiket 92, on August 11, 2017
    Language: Japanese
Silhouettes On Cover: Okina Matara (Final Boss), Satono Nishida and Mai Teireida (Stage 5 Bosses)
    Character Information Playable Characters: 4
    (Reimu, Marisa, Aya, Tanned Cirno)
Shot Types: 5 Each   Description Despite it being midsummer, the seasons in various locations are completely out of whack. The Hakurei Shrine is showered in cherry petals, Youkai Mountain is basking in the middle of autumn, and the Forest of Magic is blanketed in snow... and thanks to some strange force, Gensokyo's fairies are running rampant with unfathomable strength. In the midst of this undeniable incident, the girls set out to investigate and find the perpetrator behind it.   Unique Gameplay Mechanics Seasons
Since the whole game is based around seasons, it'd make sense for the seasons to come into play when you pick your player. As such, along with your main shot, you get to pick a season specific sub shot. Each sub shot is essentially a weaker version of the matching main shot (so Sub Spring is homing, just like Reimu's Main Shot). Your sub shot also changes what Release you have. The Extra Stage has its own unique sub shot that can only be used during it (and is the only sub shot that can be picked there).

    Season Items and Options
When you get into the game, you'll notice a bar on the bottom left. This is the release bar. When you collect season items, it fills up, and when it's full, you gain one sub shot option. The bar can be filled up to 6 times, giving a total of 6 options.
But how do you get season items you ask? Simple my good sir! Season items are generated by:
    * Killing enemies
    * Grazing bullets
    * Erasing bullets

    Releases
At this point, you may be wondering what a Release is. A Release is a circular field that spawns when you press the C button, as long as you have at least one charge on your Release Bar. Using a release uses up all of your Release Bar, and grows stronger the more charges are used up. As well, erasing bullets with a Release is the only way to increase point item value. As mentioned earlier, the season sub shot changes what the properties of your Release does.
    * Spring - Spring's Release has the shortest duration of the Releases, but has the largest range out of all of them, with a 6 charge Release clearing practically the entire screen. Additionally, this release temporarily makes you invincible.
    * Summer - Summer's Release is the second shortest Release, but has the unique property of only using up one charge per use instead of every charge.
    * Autumn - Autumn's Release creates a circle around you that follows you as you move, with the size of the circle decreasing over time. The more charges used slows down the size decrease. Along with this, for the duration of the Release, your movement speed is increased.
    * Winter - Winter's Release is the longest of the four seasonal Releases, creating a circle at the spot where you used the release. The more charges used up, the longer the Release lasts. As well, for the duration of the Release, the amount of damage you deal is increased.
    * Dog-Days/Border - The unique Release for the EX Stage. The shot itself fires backwards, and the Release combines aspects of the other Releases. Like Summer, Void only uses up one charge instead of all of them, creating a circle that quickly decreases in size like Autumn, and drifts backwards.   *Scorefile has 100% completion

  2. Cirno Smash Climbers - Yukiyama Rantou Chiruno Kuraimaazu

    Release Information
Type: Fighting Game (Smash Bros. style.)
    Developer: Kamo
    Publisher: Kamo
    Release: Reitaisai 7, on March 14, 2010
Language: English main menus, Japanese level select text.
    Extras
    * I've played through and unlocked all of the normal characters for you in this copy; if you want the two secret characters though, you have to do Extra Mode yourself.
    Description
What It Is: Think about "Cirno Climbers," above.  Now also think about "Super Smash Bros."  How could you possibly combine these two ideas, you might ask?  This game is a beautiful marriage between the two ideas, and probably could not have been done any better (except maybe for some network support?).  Up to four players can play simultaneously (assuming you have enough USB ports for that many controllers and have Joy-to-Key), or you can play the single-player game.

Yukiyama Rantou Chiruno Kuraimaazu (English: Snowy Mountain Brawl Cirno Climbers) is the direct sequel to original Chiruno Kuraimaazu with more characters. There are three game modes: Arcade Mode, a single player mode with 4 difficulties and eight stages where the player must reach the top of the mountain and defeat the boss; Extra Mode, that can be unlocked once Arcade Mode has been completed, that's harder than lunatic but two hidden characters are available once completed; VS Mode is a battle mode where up to 4 players compete aganist each other. Each player has a damage total, represented by a percentage, which rises as damage is taken.

  9. Touhou Launcher

    Source: https://github.com/David-JonesDVN/Touhou-Relauncher
This is a tool that gives you a panel from which you can run any official game you've got, as well as offering support for adding your own entries to a different tab for fangames.  Naturally, this does require you to tell the launcher where each and every one of your executables are, but that's about it for all the Windows games.  (Entries on the official games tab go from being black and white to lighting up in color as you tell the launcher where each game is.)  It's a bit fickle when it comes to the Retro Era games, as it can only be given a shortcut to Neko Project II (which is what will open when you click one of the retro games).  It also has the ability to download and extract replays to the appropriate games' folders, having its own built-in browser that goes to Gensokyo.org, RoyalFlare.net, and ThReplays.BlogSpot.com for easy acquisition.

If you don't like the button images, don't fret; you can check an option in the Settings tab for custom game images so you can assign your own button images!  Instructions for how to format the pictures so that the launcher will read them properly are found in the Settings.
Supports all official games up to WBaWC and any fangames you put on its Custom Games tab.

  10. Touhou 15.5: Antinomy of Common Flowers

    Release Information
    Type: Fighter
Developer: Team Shanghai Alice & Tasogare Frontier
Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice & Tasogare Frontier
    Release: 2017
    Language: Japanese
Silhouette On Cover: Jo'on Yorigami and Shion Yorigami (Final Bosses)
    Character Information
    Playable Characters: 19
(Reimu, Marisa, Mokou, Nitori, Koishi, Ichirin, Futo, Byakuren, Miko, Mamizou, Kokoro, Shinmyoumaru, Kasen, Sumireko, Doremy, Tenshi, Yukari, Jo'on & Shion)
    Description
With the Urban Legend incident still ongoing, a new urban legend comes into play; Perfect Possession. This phenomenon allows one person to take control over another person’s body. And of course, there exists those who seek to use this phenomenon for their own benefit…
    Unique Gameplay Mechanics
    Occult System
Returning from Urban Legend in Limbo is the occult system. By pressing the Melee and Weak Attack buttons together, each character can unless their unique occult attacks. You can only do this while your occult meter (in the upper left/right of the screen) is active however. Last Words return as well, being activated by pressing the Strong Attack and Switch buttons together, with a full spellcard bar and a full occult bar. Pulling this off successfully deals massive damage, but using it makes it impossible to use Occult attacks or your Slave for the rest of the round.
    Master and Slave System
By pressing the Switch button, you can tag out with your Slave character, or summon them to do an assist. Like the occult attacks, this can only be done while the occult meter is active, and also drains the occult meter while the Slave is active. While the Slave character is active, occult attacks cannot be used, but your health regenerates until there’s no white part of your health bar left. Slave characters can also add their own spellcards after a Master’s spellcard, by holding forward and pressing the Switch button during it while you have a full spellcard bar.

  11. Endless Marisa - Shirokuro Mahoutsukai Kikiippatsu!

    Release Information
    Type: Platform
    Developer: LION HEART
    Publisher: LION HEART
    Release: Comiket 71, December 29, 2006
    Language: English
    Description
Concept: If you've ever played the old NES title "Joust" and the old arcade game "WonderBoy," combine the thoughts of these two games, and you'll have a general idea what kind of game this is.  It's basically a time killer, although it's a very addictive one.  It involves killing endless swarms of Alice's Shanghai Dolls.
How It Works: You hit "Start" and pick one of the stages to attempt.  Things start off slow at first to put you in the mood; single enemies pop up, and you throw your magic stars at them to kill them (they'll also drop gold bars for you to pick up for extra points).  You get five hearts, which means your game is over when you've been hit 5 times.  As you survive longer, a greater variety of dolls start spawning faster and in greater numbers, until they start filling the screen.  As you'd assume from the title, there is no way to actually win; you simply score as high as you possibly can (the addictive aspect of the game).  To keep things interesting, there are several types of dolls with different capabilities, and every once in a while, Alice herself flies across the top of the screen to throw dolls at you; shoot her down for bonus points.  For more details on the modernization features, see "Advanced Strategy" under the gameplay screenie.   Modernization Features
As this is a 2006 release (by Lion Heart, no less, famous for producing "Mystical Chain;" see above), simply running, jumping, and throwing normal stars forward are not your only options; a few modern amenities have been added to the addictive old-school gameplay:

    * Aim Shots: By holding any direction, any stars you fire will go in that general direction.  You can aim shots upward, for example, to hit enemies on platforms above where you stand, or jump over an enemy and fire downward at it!
    * Charge Shot: If you hold the "Attack" button briefly, you will charge for a more powerful shot; it can be held as long as you like (just release the button to fire it).  Charge Shots can be aimed like normal shots, and will go farther to give you more bang for your buck.  Charge Shots can form combos.
    * Comboing:  If you charge a shot, fire, and hit a doll with it, if there are other dolls standing within the blast radius (whether it's horizontal or vertical), those dolls will die also, creating an additional explosion (and if other dolls are standing in that blast, they'll die too, and so on!).  You can wipe out entire platforms worth of dolls this way (or clear out the bottom floor).  Gold dropped by chained dolls is worth more, depending which number in the chain the doll was.
    * Chaining: If you keep your calm, and are accurate with your shots and don't miss, the game will count each consecutive doll you kill in a Chain, which makes kills worth progressively more points until you break your Chain by either taking a hit yourself, or firing a shot and missing.  Charge shots also count in Chains (so don't miss with those, either).
    * Drop Down Through Platforms: If you're on a platform you can jump up through, you can drop back down through it, too, by double-tapping the Down button.
    * Slide: You can slide by holding Down and hitting Jump.  Sliding is basically a way to sidestep out of difficult situations; you can pass through enemies without taking damage this way.  Once you learn exactly how far a slide will take you, it proves an invaluable way to escape in addition to jumping.

    Doll Colors
The color of the doll's uniform indicates how it moves around and whether it will try to follow you around:

    * Green: Shy doll.  These can't jump high or far, and they don't follow you around.  They also can't jump off whichever platform they're on (like green koopa troopas in Super Mario Bros).
    * Yellow: Normal doll.  These jump just a bit higher and farther than a green doll, and can jump off (but not through) their current platform, but they don't follow you around either.
    * Red: Intelligent doll.  Red dolls are capable of the same speed of movement as normal yellow dolls, but these will follow you around if they spot you, and are capable of vertical jumps through platforms upward and dropping downward to stay on your tail as necessary.
    * Blue: Super doll.  Blue dolls jump higher and farther than red dolls, and follow you around with great fervor once they see you.  Like red dolls, they can jump up and down through platforms as well.
    * Black: Miniboss doll.  A while after the screen has become infested with dolls, it starts to shake; this is your indication a black miniboss doll is present: as they are heavy (like Metal Mario), their jumping causes the screen to shake.  These take a bunch of hits to kill, unlike regular dolls, and are worth a lot of points when you kill them.

As stated before, there's no way to actually "win;" you just keep going until the dolls become too much to handle and all your hearts disappear off your life gauge.  Never end~

Some special abilities that don't require picking up any green orbs:
    * Walking on Clouds: Aya
    * Stage-Warping Power: Yukari
      A Note on Progression
There are 200 areas in the "normal game;" the formal game ends when you beat the boss inhabiting area 200. Thus, the areas 201+ are considered the post-game content (along with some of the other areas around 100ish).   Description
Plot Point: No idea, honestly. Not that this game has any actual talking in it. Well, maybe not "no idea". Far's we can tell, mysterious doors have appeared all around Gensokyo, and Marisa & Reimu go check it out.  This game is based upon another game known as Atlantis no Nazo (The Mystery of Atlantis).

How It Works: You explore the various doors; the number indicates what area it is.  Higher numbers are meant to be cleared later, of course.  As you find other characters, you'll fight them as bosses, and when you defeat them, they join your ever-increasing team, up to 25 members!  Each character has different abilities, including the size of their hitbox or jump height, so make sure you try out each character when you earn them so you can see what they're capable of.  Upon defeating bosses, you also get a Full Power powerup that brings all your dead characters back to life and restores everyone to full.

Spirit Points: The blue gauge under your HP gauge is your Spirit Points (SP) (sometimes known as Danmaku Points, or "DP"); this gauge depletes as you continually fire danmaku, and refills slowly when you're not firing, though picking up blue spirit pickups will refill it faster.

Treasure & 1-Ups: Throughout the game, you'll find treasure chests containing various amounts of Points.  Collecting enough gives you a 1-Up, which is important: your starting supply of extra lives is pretty small, and you use the extra lives you acquire as resurrection items (highlight a dead character and hit confirm to resurrect them).

Pretty true to its name, this gives you an input display that you can drag around, and even customize a little.  Since it reads from the game's memory rather than directly from your controller inputs, it can also show you replay inputs.  It auto-detects any of the games it's compatible with when it's opened, so you don't need to connect it to anything or give it any information.  The author acknowledges that the reason it doesn't have anything for the photography games by default is because those games don't map all the input values properly.

    Stuff You Can Customize
    > KeyUpImg: The image used for un-pressed keys.
    > KeyDownImg: The image used for keys being held down.
    > BGColor: The general background color of the window, which uses hex values.
    > Button positions are mapped to X/Y coordinates relative to the top-left of the window; the window will expand to fit things that have positive coordinates, so you can make your buttons as large as you want or customize where everything is however you like.  (To remove a button from being able to be seen, you can just give it negative coordinates; it's programmed not to display anything with negative coordinates.)
    > The Address List lists per-line a game's executable name and the address of its input bit vector.  You can add or remove as many entries as you like, as long as you make sure it will work.  Valid addresses start with 0x, followed by 6-8 hex-digits.  This allows compatibility with future games.

    Support List: Th06 (EoSD), Th07 (PCB), Th08 (IN), Th09 (PoFV), Th09.5 (StB), Th10 (MoF), Uwabami Breakers, Th11 (SA), Th12 (UFO), Th12.5 (DS), Th12.8 (FW), Th13 (TD), Th14 (DDC), Th14.3 (ISC), Th15 (LoLK)

  20. Han Tamashii Takeshi Geichou

    Release Information
    Type: Point-and-Click Action
    Developer: Y-Cubed
    Publisher: Y-Cubed
    Release: Reitaisai 9, May 27, 2012
    Language: Japanese
    Default Controls
[Mouse]: Control Half Ghost / Aim (Make a circular motion for a rotating slash)
    [Left Click]: Danmaku / Confirm
    [Right Click]: Movement / Cancel
[Z]: Iaido Stance; Use movement to slash
    [X]: Title Screen
    [Esc]: Kill Game
    Description
Plot Point: (Conjecture) Realizing her own weakness, Youmu trains to become stronger, taking challenges throughout Gensokyo under the supervision of Yuyuko.

How it Works: The game starts off by putting you into a hub area, where you can choose to battle, upgrade your stats, or save the game. Story mode will place you into a boss fight instance. There is no pausing, so make sure that both Youmu and your physical state are ready for a complete duel. You can strike by firing danmaku, sweeping with your sword, or expending spirit in an Iaido blow (Quick draw of the blade; think Kenshin and battoujutsu, or 200 Yojana in 1 Slash). While Iaido is your only attack that expends spirit, it also provides mobility and invincibility frames. Bullets can be absorbed with your blades, which regenerates your spirit. Hitting the enemy with danmaku will also regenerate your spirit. If you fail the boss scene, you can challenge as many times as you like. If you find your strength insufficient, you can train. Training will net you experience points with which to strengthen Youmu, and can be spent to strengthen her base stats or attack options.   Menu Options Training: Here Youmu can participate in various minigames that help develop your skill in using her various attacks. You will be awarded points with which to upgrade her stats depending on how well you perform. In this order, there is Intruder Shoot-up for shooting, Cherry Blossom Slashing for Iaido, and Bullet Slashing for the rotational slash. As you progress through the story, greater difficulty levels will be unlocked. Stat Growth: Here Youmu's stats can be upgraded within four major categories, in this order: The Foundations, Danmaku, Iaido, and Sword Sweeping. Within each category are three sub-categories, which will be listed in the order which they appear. The Foundations - Maximum Health, Maximum Spirit, Natural Spirit Recovery Over Time. Danmaku - Bullet Damage, Bullet Size, Bullet Attack Spirit Recovery. Iaido - Attack Strength, Slash Movement Speed, Spirit Cost Reduction. Sword Sweeping - Attack Strength, Attack Range, Bullet Absorption Spirit Recovery. Story Mode: Here you can continue the story and face boss scenes. Save Game: This is where you can record your progress. It is recommended that you save at least at the beginning of each chapter.
      Strategy
If you ever find it too difficult to defeat a boss, a strategy that usually works is to stay next to the boss and continuously use the Sword Sweep. You will eat any bullets that are fired while doing damage to the boss, but the game will feel cheap if you abuse this too much. Perhaps its best for such a simple girl to, as Marisa put it, go around "slashing like an idiot."

  21. V-Sync Patch

The primary purpose of these patches is to make it so that the games have reduced input delay.  Instructions on how to apply the patches is included, and instead of asking you to get the new EoSD dll file separately (as TouhouWiki does), we have included it here.

However, these patches also come with the other following features:
    * Enables use of Ctrl to fast-forward replays in games before this was a thing.
    * Fixes display glitches in PCB Cherry values and UFO scores.
    * Option to select full-screen or windowed in games before this was a thing.
    * You can elect to fix the MoF Marisa B power glitch.
    * You can change the size of the games' windows in windowed mode.

    Support List: Th06 (EoSD), Th07 (PCB), Th08 (IN), Th09 (PoFV), Th09.5 (StB), Th10 (MoF), Uwabami Breakers, Th11 (SA), Th12 (UFO), Th12.5 (DS), Th12.8 (FW), Th13 (TD), Th15 (LoLK)

  22. DirectX 8 to 9 Converter

This fixes full-screen issues in Classic Era games in Windows 10.  Simply stick the folder's contents in the game's folder; to uninstall, just delete them.

Specific things this can fix, among other things:
    * Fixes EoSD's unlimited framerate when in full-screen.
    * Fixes IaMP simply not working in full-screen.
    * Enables exclusive full-screen instead of Borderless windowed on Windows 10.
    * Enables compatibility with lots of screen-recording and streaming software (for example, OBS).
    * Enables compatibility with various third-party graphics tools (for example, MSI Afterburner and SweetFX).

There's only one known issue in IaMP with character sprites being blurry due to poor sprite filtering.

    Support List: Th06 (EoSD), Th07 (PCB), Th07.5 (IaMP), Th08 (IN), Th09 (PoFV), Th09.5 (StB)

  23. Touhou 15: Kanjuden - Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom

    Release Information
    Type: Bullet Hell
    Developer: Team Shanghai Alice
    Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice
    Release: Comiket 88, on August 14, 2015
    Language: English-Patched (ThCrap Self-Updating Standalone)
Silhouette On Cover: Junko (Final Boss)
    Character Information Playable Characters: 4
    (Reimu, Marisa, Sanae, Reisen)
Shot Types: 1 Each   Description Someone's causing havoc in the Lunar Capital, and as a result, Lunarians are descending to Gensokyo in order to purify it so that it can be suitable for them to live there. With two problems to conquer, our girls set out to stop the Lunarian invasion - which also concerns Reisen, who also goes to investigate - and find the perpetrator behind the incident.   Unique Gameplay Mechanics This game has got a TON of unique features. Read this carefully.

    Chapters
    * Every stage in this game, including cards in each boss fight, is split up into segments called Chapters, and at the conclusion of each, the game judges how well you performed in that segment, rewarding good play with Life Pieces or Bomb Pieces, depending which mode you're playing.

    Game Modes
    * LoLK asks a rather unique question first thing when you start a new game - this is the first, and currently the only, game in the series that asks you to pick a game mode. Here's the differences between the two:

    Legacy Mode
    * You get several lives, and you respawn when you die, with a limited number of credits to utilize. Pretty standard fare.
    * This mode is heavy on Life Pieces; in exchange, you'll have difficulty earning large amounts of Bombs. On one hand, you only earn one Bomb per midboss after stage 2, so if you're used to more liberal Bomb earnings, you might be a bit uncomfortable with how stingy Legacy Mode is with handing them out. On the other hand, a skilled player will end up racking up tons of Extends rather quickly, making having tons of Bombs less necessary.
    * Those seeking to play LoLK the way they're used to playing other Touhou games should pick this mode.

    PointDevice Mode
    * This mode makes it so the game auto-saves your progress after each Chapter, acting like auto-save checkpoints you'd see in other modern games. The catch? You only get one life - your Life counter is totally disabled; you cannot earn more extra lives and you'll never see Life Pieces.
    * This means that when you die, there's no recourse but to start from your last save.
    * However, one of the nice things about PD mode is that your Bomb count is also saved, so the game state is exactly what it was when you got there.
    * So essentially, what you're doing is attempting a no-miss run with occasional checkpoints in the event that you screw up and die. Since the game saves, instead of utilizing a Credits system, this means you get to retry from your last save as many times as you need to until you finally clear that troublesome spell card.
    * It's important to note that saves made in PD Mode stick around for subsequent play sessions - the game remembers one save state per character. If you reload the game and pick the same character, you'll be asked if you want to Resume, or trash the save and Restart. (Yes, Resume is the red option for some weird reason.)
    * This mode is very heavy on Bombs because it lacks extra lives entirely.
If you're looking to improve your general or death-bombing skills, PD Mode can be a great choice.
    * Those seeking to play LoLK in a more challenging and more modern way will want to pick this mode.

    Earning Life/Bomb Pieces
    * This also differs depending upon the mode you're playing.

    Life Pieces
    * Legacy: You get Life Pieces at the end of each Chapter, appropriate for how well you performed, but to get anything, the Chapter score must be 1 million or higher.
    * PointDevice:
Since you can't earn extra lives in PD Mode, you get Bomb Pieces instead, using the methodology noted above for earning Life Pieces.

    Bomb Pieces
    * Legacy: You'll receive a full Bomb for each midboss you defeat in stage 2 and onward. You'll also get a Bomb Piece for acquiring another Life Piece when you're already maxed out on lives.
    * PointDevice:
You receive Bomb Pieces instead of Life Pieces at the end of each Chapter using the above methodology for determining Life Piece gain in Legacy Mode (since you can't earn extra lives in PD Mode).

    Advanced Grazing System
    * The grazing system is no longer only worth points - in this game, grazing becomes an outright requirement if you want more lives or bombs.
-> The Chapter score assessment methodology takes grazing into account, and that's the only way you're going to earn Life Pieces in Legacy Mode or Bombs in PointDevice Mode.
-> To encourage grazing, LoLK allows you to graze the same bullet multiple times, as if they were lasers. (A single bullet can yield up to 11 GP - 1 point for the initial graze, up to 5 more for staying close to it, and 5 more for picking up the point item generated for a 1-second graze.) The drawback is that grazing normal bullets in this way is slower than just grazing an actual laser instead, so lasers are always preferable if there are any around.
    * As long as you're grazing bullets, items fall more slowly, similar to Sakuya's ability in IN.   Scorefiles * This scorefile was provided by Dark Kijin.
    * It has 100% Extra availability, but Extra isn't cleared with anyone at all.
    * Game clearance is minimal; the game only has any clears on PointDevice. It's cleared on Hard with Marisa, Sanae, and Reisen, Normal is finished with Reimu, and Easy is done with Sanae. There are no other game clears.
-> You can help get this scorefile to 100%! If you have a scorefile which improves upon the progress in this existing file, please submit it to us! Th15 Scorefile (LoLK) [Dark Kijin].zip

  24. Touhou 14.5: Shinhiroku - Urban Legend in Limbo

    Release Information
    Type: Fighting
Developer: Team Shanghai Alice & Tasogare Frontier
Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice & Tasogare Frontier
    Release: Reitaisai 12, on May 10, 2015
    Language: English-Patched (MotK 1.00)
Silhouette On Cover: Sumireko Usami (Final Boss)
    Character Information Playable Characters: 14
(Reimu, Marisa, Mokou, Nitori, Koishi, Ichirin, Futo, Byakuren, Miko, Mamizou, Kokoro, Shinmyoumaru, Kasen, Sumireko)   Description Urban legends have begun circulating through the Human Village, scaring the kids and worrying the adults. Of course, our girls aren't afraid of a few rumors, but they're following the Gensokyo girls around. At first, since it was discovered that these anomalies could be controlled as long as the host did not fear them, they simply treated them as playthings, because they could - until one night, when things started going wrong...   Unique Gameplay Mechanics Occult Orbs
    * Around 20 seconds into a battle, an Occult Orb will begin appearing. About 5 seconds later, it reveals itself.
    * A light representing the players (red for player 1, blue for player 2) appears when they touch an Orb, which has space for 7 lights.
    * If you have more lights than your opponent, then you get the orb.
    * Your orb will bounce off you if you touch it. Try not to bounce it toward your opponent, because they may be able to tag it with a light!
    * Any attack that requires Orbs will be stronger the more Orbs you have.
    * Once you collect 1 Occult Orb, you'll be able to use your Urban Legend, which is character-dependent. However, if you take damage after using it, you won't be able to use it again for a while.
    * If you collect 4 Occult Orbs, you can use your Last Word. All Last Words are based upon the characters' Urban Legends. Once you utilize a Last Word, you'll drain all your orbs.

    Mystery Spots
    * Each time an Occult Orb appears, an effect comes into play, similar to how Weather effects work in Soku, except in this game, it's called a Mystery Spot. This lasts until either someone gets the orb or it disappears. There are 7 different effects; knowing what they do could help you win your battles!

    Spell Bar
    * In the lower corner of the screen is a bar that slowly fills as you fight - your Spell Bar.
    * When it's full, you can use the spell card you chose before the battle.
    * If you charge it twice, that makes it even more powerful!
    * When you use your card, it drains your spell power entirely.

    Health Bar Coloration
    * In this game, Blue Health is your current health, and White Health is recoverable health, which is how much you get back for certain healing methods. If you want an example, Mokou takes advantage of this; when she uses fire-based attacks, her blue health depletes, leaving recoverable white health instead, and then when she uses Resurrection, she regains all her white health.   Scorefile * This scorefile was provided by Wolfdragon Rex.
    * It unlocks Sumireko.
    * It has Gold-level clears for all characters on all difficulties, with exceptions on Lunatic for Futo, Miko, Mamizou, Koishi, and Kokoro.
-> You can help get this scorefile to 100%! If you have a scorefile which improves upon the progress in this existing file, please submit it to us! Th14.5 (ULiL) Scorefile [Wolfdragon Rex].zip

  25. Touhou 14.3: Danmaku Amanojaku - Impossible Spell Card

    Release Information
    Type: Bullet Hell Boss Attack
    Developer: Team Shanghai Alice
    Publisher: Team Shanghai Alice
    Release: Reitaisai 11, on May 11, 2014
    Language: English-Patched (ThCrap Self-Updating Standalone)
Silhouette On Cover: Seija Kijin (Sole Playable Character)
    Character Information Playable Characters: 1
    (Seija)
    Shot Types: 1
(Eventually with 9 Items)   Description Everyone's favorite inversion-inclined dancing amanojaku, Seija, has been going around appropriating various other Gensokyo girls' special items. She has a reason for doing this (at least, supposedly), but the other girls don't particularly care; now that Seija is a repeat offender (having also technically been the mastermind behind the events of DDC), Reimu has issued an unusual order to defeat Seija using unprecedented danmaku - patterns each of the girls considers to be impossible to beat. Figuring that if they can cheat, she can too, Seija figures she can utilize the powers of the items she obtains to defeat all this unfair danmaku.   Unique Gameplay Mechanics Cheat Items
    * The girls you're facing off against are literally cheating to defeat you. Fortunately, Seija's got a few tricks up her sleeve - the items she has grant her abilities to bypass or destroy danmaku in various ways, such as hiding from it temporarily, being able to screen-side-wrap, use bombs, or die more than once.
    * When you're on the scene select screen, you can pick which two items you carry into each battle.
    * At first, you'll only have a slot for a Main Item, but later on, you gain a Sub-Item slot, granting you the ability to use the secondary function of an item placed in that slot.

Item Levels & Item Clearance Tracking
    * For each unique item-scene clear, the item used gains experience, and with enough XP, it levels up, which allows you to do things like use the item more times or make each use last longer, allowing you to alleviate further frustration by allowing for better resources to use in later, tougher scenes.
    * As you use items to clear scenes, the game remembers which items you've cleared which scenes with.
    * If you can manage to clear a scene without ever using an item (possible on every scene, but naturally, later ones are very hard to do this with), you'll receive a special No-Item Clear designation, and all items you have at the moment you clear the scene will be checked off for that scene, since you proved you don't need any special help to beat that scene. This means that if you didn't have an item when you No-Item Cleared a scene, you'll have to go back and clear it again for it to count for the new items.

    Nicknames
    * You can also earn achievements called "Nicknames" for fulfilling criteria as you play the game. See if you can unlock all 60!   Scorefile * This scorefile was provided by Dark Kijin.
    * It unlocks all 10 Days of the story for play. (All are cleared on at least some base level, but not all have No-Item Clears.)
    * However, it does not have all the Nicknames; it's missing the ten Secret Nicknames.
-> You can help get this scorefile to 100%! If you have a scorefile which improves upon the progress in this existing file, please submit it to us! Th14.3 (ISC) Scorefile & Data.zip
